I can't believe that no one has commented yet about this ROM. It's very good! My A2Lite is a backup so I don't have a sim in it...but so far EVERYTHING I've tried works perfectly! Very customizable and smooth. Screen scrolling is much more fluid than the last Android ROM I tested. Battery life appears to be great too! Overnight in airplane mode only drained about 1%. I just might put my sim in and give this a full whirl around the block.
My only issue when installing was after flashing the ROM & TWRP - I switched the slot and tried rebooting to recovery but instead the ROM booted. That happened twice (retried from scratch). So I let the ROM boot the 2nd time, reinstalled TWRP, flashed ForcedEncryptionDisabler, & Magisk. End result is awesome!
Just installed and testing. mn1968: I had some installation issue too. After ROM and twrp installation, changed slot. Then, when tried to reboot to twrp, got the message that there's no system installed, but ignored the message and it actually rebooted to twrp. Tried to install gapps, but I've got the message that it's already installed (missed the DO NOT FLASH GAPPS, ALREADY INCLUDED warning). System booted perfectly and now I'm configuring.
I hoped for option to install my choice of gapps, but it's already included. It might be nano or micro and I prefer pico...
Is there a way to remove gapps installed and install mine?
TWRP gives out error when installing.
Error applying update : 28 (error code : : kDownloadOperationExecutionError)
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1.

It's a very nice and customizable ROM.
The installation worked correctly.
But I have two things that bother me:
1. There is an option to hide the notch, but make the screen smaller and place the icons below it instead of coloring the notch black and keeping the icons there.
2. There is an option for left / right arrows in the navigation bar, which seem to be activated (see Navbar-Tuner), but are not visible, e.g. if the keyboard is open.
The option to use keycodes as before is missing.

Try to disable battery manager. I'm not sure but it might be the reason behind the high battery drain.

Weird. I've been running this ROM for 3 days and Battery Manager has been on the whole time. I have excellent battery drain - only 1%-2% overnight. FWIW - I do have my phone on Airplane Mode as I still haven't put my sim in yet. Don't think that should really matter though.
I want to report 2 bugs about evolution X 4.20.2, I can't setup mixplorer due to a loop granting access to storage, and animation when opening an app are not smooth, but nice rom

Well GApps are builded in ROM source and removing them can break some thing, but you can try some Gapps Uninstaller (you will find in Internet).

That open apps lag problem will be fixed itself after some time use, and Mixplorer bug i think is app side, but I will look at it.

Curently running the latest stock rom, did someone else install this from the latest kernel? I know it says 10.0.13 is recomended but I would like to avoid downgrading if possible.
Also, how is the camera experience? Past roms I've tried always had a lot of bugs with the camera, mostly with low light photos.

Here microphone is working fine, make sure you have clean flashed and you are on 10.0.13 or 10.0.18 base!

after using WiFi for a while if I turn off wifi and then try to use mobile data then mobile data doesn't work.
if i restart phone or turn on airplane mode then mobile works

It's working very smoothly up to now, including battery consumption.
In the Telegram group, the installations instructions says that TWRP is already included in the ROM, but it's not.
The OTA feature downloads a 1.5Gb file, but was not able to install it in the other slot.
Why did the bootanimation become white/black? It is related to the color theme of our settings?
I also tryed to compile the ROM by myself but did not manage to pass some initial errors.
I was able to compile the GSI (Treble) ROM, but our phone is not the best to test GSIs, at least, not for me. GSI Rom did not boot. Maybe anyone else could try.
Missed (very minor) features and or glitches:
- Resize old apps full screen (the option we have does not work or the app uses just part of the screen)
- Wi-Fi drops that I cannot really trace the cause (maybe my DNS)
- Our FOD is not the best in class, and it's not different in EvolutionX
- Without the labels, the QS icons are too far from each other and the space could be trimmed
- The option (setting) to remove the VPN message at the bottom of the QS
- Reorient (swap) volume buttons when 180º rotated
- Forced close messages disable option
- Among the (amazing!) vibration patterns, I miss the very simple "da-da" one
- When clicking the "Do not disturb" QS icon, the tile does not expand by itself to show all options (time to be in silent, for intance)
- Weather is not being displayed in lockscreen (although listed in the settings)

Yes , the labels removed make the gap too large and many other minor issues exist. But these are from ROM source , and these exist on any other phone running evox. So it is not developer's fault.

I couldn't get the last build to work with wifi and bt.
I flashed the vendor on both slots, formated data, followed the steps a bunch of times but no success.
Wat i can do to work?

3rd party chargers support?
My 18W 3rd party charger doesnt work(it takes 3 hours for full charge). It worked fine with PE ROM and Stock ROM. Is it because of ROM or kernel maybe? Xiaomi 10W charger that comes with the phone works fine.
I experienced the same bug as W3ND31. At first it wouldn't even boot even tough I followed the Installation instructions exactly.
After I cleared cache again (2nd time after initial install) I got it to boot but WiFi and BT wouldn't work. 2-3 more reboots in would somehow fix it but BT Audio is not working properly in my car, only for headphones. I really like this Rom but its not stable yet and has some minor bugs like the ones mentioned above.
I think the issue with WiFi/BT could be related to global and EU vendor. I am back to EU stock now but will check again after some updates have been made and I really hope this Rom will stay maintained unlike some of the other Roms for this phone and I am even willing to donate once its working 'flawless'.
I am sorry I couldn't provide some logcats but I didn't have time because this is my main device and I was testing this in the evening before work.

Mi A3 bootloader doesn't allow data partition to be backed up in TWRP , so you're not alone

I really like this Rom but its not stable yet and has some minor bugs like the ones mentioned above.
I think the issue with WiFi/BT could be related to global and EU vendor. I am back to EU stock now but will check again after some updates have been made and I really hope this Rom will stay maintained unlike some of the other Roms for this phone and I am even willing to donate once its working 'flawless'.
I am sorry I couldn't provide some logcats but I didn't have time because this is my main device and I was testing this in the evening before work.

Everything is working for me , all you need to do before installing is to flash pie vendor on both slots(flash fastboot pie ROM) then follow installation instructions.

Hi there, nice port (from what i've read lol), but I cannot install it on my SM-G960F (starlte) because of my vendor image not being compatible to android 10. I used a custom One UI rom on android 9 before. Could you provide me a link to the proper vendor please? I'd really love to use your rom
I'm fairly new to this whole kernel flashing scene, so I flashed the white wolf kernel which was recommended by you and failed hahah, it's always rebooting

You need to have latest bootloader and modem installed before you flash this, search this forum you should find a flashable zip

I flashed the rom, and from what I've seen so far I'm pretty happy with it. The only thing that bothers me is that my sim card won't be detected anymore. It didn't happen before and when I reflashed another rom it was detected again. Is there a solution to that? I followed the exact steps mentioned to flash.

I have the same problem as you before, until I tried to flash the stock Firmware from here and flash it through twrp, and it works perfectly.
Simply awesome ROM! Thanks dev. Two things that I miss; security patch updates and left/right arrows for navigation bar. They do not come up as visible from the evolution settings and layout tuner despite the options are there. The ROM is stable and fast as a lightning.
I download the zip file from Mega, but it contains 3 differents zip files:
1) EvolutionX_4.3_crownlte-10.0-20200515-1845-UNOFFICIAL.zip
2) EvolutionX_4.3_star2lte-10.0-20200515-1931-UNOFFICIAL.zip
3) EvolutionX_4.3_starlte-10.0-20200515-1920-UNOFFICIAL.zip
Which one have I to flash?

I'm finding that my battery becomes incredibly hot using this ROM to the point that I can't even charge it when I am on a video call (and shortly after when the heat continues to affect my S9). Is there a fix for this? Great ROM otherwise.
Pretty cool ROM, I prefer this over Lineage OS. I feel like there is more customization and smoothness to be had here

I still not check files in slots but i think problem in my alpha recovery for joyeuse.
You flashed the rom by what' recovery ?
Aaaaand here we go 1st rom for Joyeuse is alive. (Still, installing it's complicated for now, i don't even know what oos flashed on both slots could mean, so i'll wait for rom to grow up a little).

Check your permissions in the afh directory. You might have it private.
Anyways, great to see development starting up for our variant t! Just got this device last week and am planning on maintaining some roms but I'm waiting for twrp first (as with most devs I assume)
Flashing your recovery would be done through fastboot correct? The simplicity of twrp over the years has spoiled me hahah

hmm odd. do you know what version of miui you had before flashing this? I was on 11.0.4.
also i can no longer reboot to fastbootd it takes me to recovery instead. i will send a log in abit trying to get the device to boot again
EDIT: for reference, the gsi aosp rom works fine for me as well as miui.eu. this is the only one i seem to be having wifi issues
EDIT2: so after flashing this rom i went back to stock 11.0.2 but decided to come back to send you a logcat and now wifi works. go figure lol.

apn for my carrier is showing and works too
which carrier btw u use and what country letme know
For now u have to manually add the apn

Go to mobile network then apn and create new apn settings contact ur carrier provider they will guide u
Upgraded to this load from the previous by system upgrade (dirty) - the problem that the phone is hot and discharging within a few hours even if not in use.

From EvolutionX_4.7_z2_plus-10.0-20200926-1406-OFFICIAL - was notifyed by software update prompt - over the air upgrade.
Also the battery % is not displayed in the top bar if not plugged into charger.

I've wiped cache + system, installed the build again. So far is good. Thank you.

go to settings>evolver>statusbar>statusbar battery indicator and then battery percentage
With a dirty install from previous evolution 4.7, I couldn't unblock on the first boot, because I used auto unlock when inserting right pin and no fingerprint unlock after reboot.
After a clean flash everything went well. Except for the wifi that doesn't turn on after I left it off for a while, always need to reboot.

Do clean every partition expect internal storage and then flash only rom no gapps needed

Great rom, thanks for the support.
Dirty flashed to 5.2 from 5.1, so far so good.
After I clean installed 5.1 I faced random wifi disconnects.
Launching Google play store I noticed there were a fair number of internal android apps asking to be updated, after the updates I didn't have any other issue with the wifi. Did you guys above check if there's any update in play store?

I am getting stuck at bootloop while clean flashing the evolution_X00TD-ota-rq3a.210905.001-09100655-unsigned.zip build. I have tried downloading and flashing the build twice but still facing the same issue. Am I missing something ? I followed the instructions from page 1.

I didn't knew that there is a difference between format data and wiping data from advanced wipe.

It's probably your kernel that's misbehaving. Try switching kernels and check if it happens again (Use ramdisk cleaner before switch).
