Oneplus 5t,Oreo 8.1 and xposed modules

On my Oneplus 5T, I'm currently running stock oxygen OS 4.7.7 (Nougat 7.1.1)
I'm preparing to update its Oxygen OS to Android 5.1.1. (Android Oreo 8.1.1)
I am running the following xposed modules
adblocker reborn
App settings
GravityBox
Youtube Adaway
Statusbar download progress
xprivacy Lua
Can anyone please tell me whether one or more of these modules are causing any trouble on OnePlus 5T running Oxygen OS 5.1.1 ?
I'm using gravitybox without any trouble.
Regarding status bar download progress, I would advise you to use the official app which doesn't even require root. It's from the same developper. There is a paid version, the dev deserves it given the time since this module exists.
I would also stop using YouTube adaway. Try YouTube vanced as a magisk module : no ads but also PiP and background play.
Otherwise I don't see why there should be problems with the other modules. If you're not sure, just make a system+Data partitions backup with TWRP and restore it if you experience any bug.
Thanks for replying, I'll surely check out different app for status bar download progress.

I'm already using YouTube vanced. My only reason to block YouTube ads is because upon clicking the YouTube links on web pages while surfing on Chrome and Firefox, the links automatically open up in original Google's YouTube app and not vanced one. This happens also when I click on youtube links in messages of whatsapp and Facebook messenger

I never faced this, but I always uninstall official YouTube app before installing vanced. I do it with titanium backup but any system apps uninstaller will work.
Flat Style Bar Indicators 5.1 work well on my phone 5t 8.1

System UI Colors/Accent

Does anyone have any idea his to change the System UI color or accent because the Teal is very ugly. I hope there is a method without root because I'm not trying to lose OTA's.
I used Substratum X Andromeda via ADB enabled and now since it isn't allowed with Android Pie I can't edit anything without root.
Any ideas anyone? :crying: :highfive:

In Oreo it is possible by installing the apk of the color you want. When done that, it enables "Themes" in "Screen" in "Settings"
Google it, I found them in Mi A1 sub

Works here on Oreo
This magisk module is working on A2 lite pie
Pix3lify from magisk also works like a charm, it even makes everything rounder just like it is on Pixel devices and roms.

Does that allow color change? Or just pixel theme?

It only has the pixel theme.
Hey everyone! I have found something you will be interested in. If you have root you can buy and install "Swift Installer - Themes & Color Engine" you use magisk and root to apply overlays and you can choose your notification tool area transparency, your full device accent, and better yet it supports apps like Snapchat, GApps (Google Apps), Instagram, Spotify and more I will put the list of apps below!
List of apps your theme will get applied to: https://goo.gl/gS84kK
Google Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brit.swiftinstaller
I have been using this ever since it released its like their own Substratum Engine but awesome and for Pie users

[Magisk] Debloat Script for Xperia XZ Premium

Hello,
I've created a Debloat Script to systemlessly Debloat the Xperia XZ Premium via Magisk.
Tested on following Devices/Firmwares:
Xperia XZ Premium (G8141): 47.2.A.8.24, 47.2.A.10.28, 47.2.A.10.45 (Pie)
Xperia XA2
If you try on other devices give feedback. It might work on most actual Sony phones.
Attention!
The module removes Sony Home Launcher and Swiftkey Keyboard, so be sure to have another launcher and keyboard installed before you enable the module. (You can download Swiftkey regular from Playstore again)
I recommend Xperia keyboard from here.
Version Infos:
Debloat_vX.X Regular Version
Debloat_vX.XYT Doesn't remove YouTube (due to conflicts when using Debloat + YT-Vanced Magisk Module -> vanced won't show up)
If you find Bloat-apps not included in this Script just tell me and I'll add them.
Also if you succesfully use the Script on other devices/firmwares give Feedback.
Enjoy your clean XZP
Thanks to @Pointless816 for providing a huge list of Bloatware apps in his adb script (here).
Changelog:
v1.2 Fixed Property in Magisk
v1.1 Fixed apps not included in @Pointless816 Script
v1.0 Initial Release

Can you add the contrast reducer aka qualcomm assertive display feature to the list? Im entirely not sure which apk is responsible for this feature, but I'm pretty sure it's an apk and not a system file. I recently saw a display booster apk uploaded on apkmirror, some old version of it is present in the xzp.
P.S. - It's the feature responsible for turning the contrast down so low and makes everything look very light with low saturation when outdoors .

No problem mate, glad to help.
Well I've been trying to debloat my Sonys for a while now using Magisk and Titanium Backup and also another Magisk debloat mod using Termux and neither method worked. At best they would disable apps but not remove and moreover cause boot loop on restart. This mod works!!! I was sceptical at first and thought it would just remove the apps from the primary user but I added a second account to my phone and the apps were gone there too. Also I used this on my XA2 along with my XZ Premium and works for both. The only apps it didn't remove from the XA2 was Amazon Kindle and FM Radio. But I am ecstatic. Thanks alagga!

"Upon further review..." The mod doesn't actually remove the apps it merely hides them, which is OK, but I was able to still see the "deleted" apps with recovery and going into system. I then deleted them there and the few the mod doesn't touch. When it comes right down to it, it's merely a matter of aesthetics as the apps don't take up a lot of space to begin with. I just like complete control over what's on my phone.
It's still a good mod and a fast and easy way to disable and hide those unwanted apps.

This module is especially designed to do it like this. If you use this systemless removing (hiding) of the apps, system stays unmodified and so you're still able to get official OTA's

Use apk analyzer from playstore (or search for the paths manually via a filebrowser) and pass me over the paths of the apps then I'll add them to the script
(should be located either in /system/app/XXX or /system/priv-app/XXX)

Magisk mods / xposed

Hey, whats everyones favorite, and go-to magisk modules or other root mods for the pixel 2 XL device? i have root and im really curious what everyone is using, and for what reason!
I use Energized for adblocking. Downside compared to adaway is you need to use a terminal app for control.
Also use(d) Active Edge mod to allow for linking flashlight to a squeeze.
Another is Vanced as a version for YouTube without the intrusive add videos.
You may want to have the original YouTube app not updated and set to not auto update and enable the build in option to detach the app from the play store by putting an empty file named enable_detach in the cache folder.
Last one is Busybox to make some modules funstional.
Also enable Systemless Hosts in magisk settings.

[GUIDE] ARCore Enable - No root

Hi guys,
Since we're waiting forever for official ARCore support for our device, I've checked the official Telegram group MOD EDIT: Telegram link removed, please read the STICKY! and thanks to one of the admins suggestion (user: $android_lover[*_*]//=-=//), we can now enjoy the ar stuff without root, magisk modules, etc.
All you have to do is:
1. Join the beta program for "Google Play services" app in the Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms&hl=en);
2. Download and install "Google Play Services for AR" from APKMirror (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/arcore/);
3. Since this is not official, the Play Store won't allow you to download AR apps due to compatibility issues, so you have to manually download and install the apps you want to use (via APKMirror or elsewhere). I've already tried and used "Just a line", "Measure", "ARuler", "BBC Civilisations AR" and also the 3D animals from the Google app;
4. You can leave the "Google Play services" beta program if you want to;
5. That's it, go nuts.
TIP: You can also use "Playground" (the Google AR sticker app) with the latest Gcam (7.3.020_2.0) and the Arnova8G2's mod of "Playground" that also can be found on APKMirror (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/arnova8g2/).
I'm on stock 11.0.2.0 (QGGEUXM), with no root and locked bootloader. To be honest, there are some minor bugs here and there (it depends on the app), but it's better than nothing and it all works like a charm, at least in my case.
Enjoy and thank $android_lover[*_*]//=-=// on Telegram.
