Looking for a stable ROM - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Android Development

So i need your help to flash a stable working rom on my SM-P900 tablet.
I have had it for a few years now and i bought from someone that had rooted it. Now i want to use my tab to review photography taken with my digital camera.
Unfortunately my tab is running an old version of Android, version 4.1.x.
Looking for a stable version that still keeps the pen functionality and that allows me to access an external sd card, not a micro sd card like the one you can insert into the tab but one that i can connect to the tab via a sd card readers.
Also a rom that keeps some of the original apps that came with the tab, like google play and the sketch app.
I appreciate your help and again my apologies For putting this here. Thanks.

Been running lineage on my P900 for over a year now and runs great.. Follow these instructions: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=82570595
Use the first post to download the rom and gapps. Enjoy

Thanks for the reply, have you tried to connect an external sd card using an sd card reader? This is the main thing I want the tab to do, otherwise no point in going through everything

Just made a test for you on my P900 running on lineage-14.1-20200505-NIGHTLY-v1awifi.zip.
With an OTG adapter one works and the other one doesn't.
So it will depend on the type you've got.
Before you flash don't skip the notice that you need to install the lollipop bootloader before flashing the new TWRP.

So it can read external SD cards no issues?

As I wrote one of mine worked fine.
This is the type:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-USB-3...1f0d171adc:m:mXqAHno94_dwBASYwFtZyKQ&LH_BIN=1
The other one is very old and has a separate cable and mini USB input.
Might be the reason.
Can't give a guarantee on yours.

Updating 6.0.f.0.72 to 6.0.f.0.111

Hey, I have a LT28i which i bought off Expansys and it came unlocked with 6.0.f.0.72 installed but when I connected it to my com the PC Companion told me there was and update but after multiple times I still cannot update my phone. I have read the threads and don't really understand the process of flashing and I do not want to lose all my data on my phone. Can anyone help or direct me to the correct thread please?
On a side note I cannot get my Ion to transfer the apps to my SD card as well as all my camera photos are still stored on the internal memory is there any setting i can make to get them to go straight to my SD card?
Thanks in advance!

You can flash it to .111. All you have to do is make sure that you uncheck the wipe data part of the flashtool. And for the SD card problem, I have no solution to it as I don't have a SD card for my ion atm.

Since the ion has internal storage, you have to look for the ext card to see your SD card. SD card on mine is actually the internal storage.
Thanks a lot. Is it possible to rename the SD card from ext to SD and make the phone think it's the internal one? And if i flash it to .111 will i be able to recieve updated from SE or do i have to keep reflashing it when something new comes out?

.111 is still an official firmware. You can still update without issues. Not sure on the renaming part. Give it a try and see what it does. If it doesn't work just rename it back.

Okay, i've read the flashing guide on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343 but i'm still lost. the program wont detect my Lt28i. can anyone advise please? =/
Does your PC pick it up? If not and the phone is just charging when connected you are probably not using the cable that came with the phone and it is probably a charge only cable. At least that's the problem I ran into at first lol

For Xperia Ion, you have to hold the Up Volume button as you connect it with the usb. The back button is for the older models. Remember, keep your phone charged before you flash.

The problem is that I cant even get flashtool to detect my phone to flash. Even with pressing the button.
You might need drivers... Go to the drivers downloader in the flash tool folder and click on it.

Just try it again and again until it's done. Sony's server is very bad so you can't just update successfully with only one try. I had to try it a whole day to get it updated to 111. When you see the download bar run full, your device will get updated.

Software upate

My unit is GT-N7105. I discover that About device -> Update states that Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available. What does it mean as it is a brand new unit and bought it yesterday? How can I update the future firmware? Thanks
Did you rooted your device? If so then that is the reason.
You can still download the updates from sammobile. Com and flash it via odin...

No, I did not do and I bought it from electrcal shop with Samsung seal.
I had the same thing, what I realised is that the ext sd card that I put into the phone still had all the files from my s3 on it including super su etc. I removed the sd card and status went back to unmodified and I could do ota updates. Dunno if that's the case for you.

I can confirm I have the same problem with my note 2. It seems it is because of the memory card. I had a bRand new SanDisk 64Gb one and one day I had the same message. Unfortunately I formated my phone and my card just to find out it was because of the card. I don't know why it does that but I'm sure it is the card. May be more people should try and check and report?

I did use my mSD card of my SGS2 on this new unit. Once I removed it, it changes to Normal Status. How can I use a mSD card on Note 2? Do I need to format it by Note 2?
Does Rooting block access to OTA updates if the official ROM isn't changed?

Kit Kat CND1 losing SD card

I have two cards. A Samsung 32GB class 10 and a Sandisk microSDXC ultra 64GB
Both cards were tried, both formatted in FAT32 as well as ExFat and tried sdformatter.
BUT my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition with CND1 (Columbia Kit Kat) after some hours of use, loses the SD card.... It cannot see it until a couple of reboots.
Do you think its because of a bad flash? Should I try CND2?
Opinions please

If you are rooted , just install "Folder mount" , it will cure your ext. sd problem.

unfortunately im not rooted as i want to keep the warranty (already used it twice for screen and battery replacement)
I just flashed the US Kit kat via odin, did a factory reset and can only hope the problem goes away. Do you think it may be a hw fault? Anybody else had similar issues?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure that with kit kat you can't put stuff on a SD card anymore unless you use a SD fix.If you look around forum there is some information about it. I think you also need to be rooted but might be wrong about that. I think there is a app in market called SD fix.

Incorrect. You can use also with KitKat and unrooted as before. The only restriction is that downloaded apps can write only in their own app directory. And this all have nothing to do with the recognizion of the sd-card.

Until now, I didn't see that someone had a related problem.
I hope for you that it was a bad flash. Otherwise I would try to clean the caches and then a reflash but here also clean the cashes. And normally it is better to remove sd-cards before a flash but I also didn't do it.
I performed a factory reset, cleared cache, then flashed the US Kit Kat, again factory reset. Everything works... but after a 15 minute music listening or just out of the blue, the SD card (tried a Samsung formated FAT32) is not responding.
I don't think its a hardware issue, because this time under "storage" i can see the card. However I cannot play anything from it and if I unmount and re-mount it says that the file system is not supported or the card is damaged.
This is soooooo weird and disturbing....

[Q] Is my SD card slot fried? Please help!!

Hi Guys,
I'm on Temasek's CM11, been using this Sony 64GB microSD card for over a year, and today, randomly while the phone was in use, I saw a message pop up, SD card unexpectedly unmounted. After that, it's not using up in the file systems, all the way down to the Recovery. I'm using TWRP.
I put the SD card in another Note 3 I have and everything seems to be fine on there, all the data is here.
So just posting here to make sure that is it safe to conclude that my SD card slot is fried?
And if so... What are my options... I have had the Note 3 for over a year and brought it off of Craigslist. It's unlocked and use it on AT&T...
So any ideas or advice friends? And yes, I pressed the SD card firmly in my Note 3 many times...
Thank you!
Anyone guys?
have you tried a different sd card? Also is your phone rooted if so try to access it in recovery. if so then something in the system messed up and a restart of your phone could fix it or a new rom. good luck hope it's not fried :-\

Thanks bud for your response! Yes, another sd doesn't show up in the phone, but works in another phone. And no, Recovery does not pick it up either .
Looking to move to another ROM, want to try Android 5.0, but really want to make sure I can come back to KK if I want to. The fact that sd is not showing up in recovery is really discouraging, but also, there are no signs of sd card slot being fried either like a smell or anything.
Please keep responding folks, if you have any ideas! Thank you!
Your using CM11 killed the sdcard slot in your Note 3. No use crying after spilled milk. Stick to stock rom next time.

SD card problems, card is always corrupt no matter what I do.

I just bought a brand new Samsung class 10 sdcard, and my phone always says it's corrupted. Twrp recognizes it fine, my computer does, but the OS does not. I keep trying to reformat it in settings but nothing changes, as soon as it finishes it says it's corrupted.
Any suggestions?

The card may not be broken, there is a known issue with the way htc devices format large cards.
Small corruptions will eventually lead to problems.
Use SD card formatter from the net, you'll need to do this on your pc. Don't format on your phone as it can cause problems. I had issues with an official, 128GB SanDisk card, since using that it's been fine.
I bought a Samsung Pro Plus UHS-1 32 GB card from Best Buy, don't see how I would've gotten a fake.
This same problem happened with my other sandisk 64gb card, and it was working fine, but I forgot what may have triggered the issue as it's been awhile.

I've tried formatting it with my PC, using the standard formater included with the OS on Windows. Like I said it's brand new. I'm going to go exchange it today but open the box in the store and try a different card just to be sure.
There have been a lot of posts about SD card problems in the LeeDrOiD thread. Try using a different kernel if you're on clumsy. ElementalX seems to work, and Clean Slate definitely does -- I'm using it myself. Also try to format exfat on the phone instead of on your PC.
Most likely it's not the card, as it seems to be an issue for many HTC 10 users.

It has nothing to do with the kernel, it's the way the phone formats it. Use the app ive suggested and you'll be fine.

A hardware fault seems the least likely and most difficult diagnosis. I'd try a few more fixes at least, including dladz's suggestion.
Not an expert by any means -- I'm just summarizing what I saw elsewhere -- but there are a lot of posts about SD card problems and a few suggestions that there's a bug in the stock HTC kernel.

Personally I would RUU to stock to test, and then install a new custom ROM if that didn't work -- can't think of anything more frustrating than having to exchange the phone! Good luck.
EDIT: Every solution I've come across has to do with the kernel or formatting the card on a PC. Make sure the kernel and the firmware are a good match, too.

Funny thing is, is that I can use my SD card in twrp. I'll make a custom recovery.img and put that on the root of my sdcard to flash back twrp.

I suspect the software too. This started for me after updating to the latest OTA 1.91.617.1. It(Sandisk 128GB) worked fine prior to that.
I tried formatting on PC using the windows method and also the SDFormatter application with no luck. The card works fine in TWRP but doesnt as soon as I boot the phone(Stock OS). The same card works fine in an old HTC EVO 4G LTE and Galaxy S3.

I might just downgrade later on, this is ridiculous that this can happen. Gotta wait til after work.
When I got my HTC 10 unlocked sd cards worked fine and then I put the Verizon ruu on it a couple days later any SD card I tried showed corrupted but did not in twrp or in my other phone so I restored my phone to stock and they have worked fine since.
I'm having this same problem! My card was working just fine, but after I tried doing an OTA update on my rooted HTC10 every SD card I put in is somehow corrupt, despite working fine on every other device. Is there a fix?
Oh, restoring a backup before the error popped up fixed it.
