I have a question regarding cordova, my guess is that this is the right place: https://forum.xda-developers.com/coding/web-apps but when I try to create a new post I see this:

Anyway, I have a question about cordova. In the app I'm responsible for (I didn't make it) I have the following error:

```
in the app/config.xml file, I have this: android:icon="@drawable/icon"
But what is this location, I mean, where in the app should I put the icon? I tried app/platforms/android/res/drawable but that doesn't work.
I do have the files (icons) in dirs like drawable or drawable-hdpi-v4 but I have no idea where I should put them.
Can you help me please with that?

Well that came as a bit of a shock......
I went to the section and could not find my topic Programs/Utilites & Games ~ working on the Touch HD.

first of all, allow me to apologize that I am posting this into dev section instead of Q&A, but IMHO this topic is strongly tied with actual development and its not just a simple newbie question. If you disagree, please contact a mod with a request to move this thread to Q&A. Thanks.
Now lets cut to the chase. I am trying to alter some images inside the SystemUI.apk that was introduced with GB, mainly I want a semi-transparent statusbar. Problem is, when I modify the resources, rebuild the apk file using apktool and sign it using testsign, the modified package gets ingnored by the system because of shared UID certificate mismatch. If I understand it correctly, I must find the package using the shared UID and resign it with the same certificate as the modified SystemUI.apk. Am I right? If so, how can I determine the package apk file based only on the knowledge of its shared UID? If I'm totally wrong, please, correct me.

Question from 2 posts above stands and is right on money. Having said that, have you tried posting in the right section of the forum (Desire Q&A) or using notepad++ for editing?! Don't answer here, this thread needs to be closed.

For the benefit of newbies developers that want to venture into Android app development, here's a packed up .zip with all the tools you need and a readme.txt to guide you step by step on what to install and what is used for what....
Also included a sample stupid program I wrote just for fun while beginning to learn the tools which includes API to read from resource image and an asset sound file. That should be the fundamentals API you need to create an extremely simple app.

Then clear tha data of battery and performance in manage apps in settings. That's it
Extract this zip and do the following steps.
Unzipping got me a file named game_patch etc. Thats not it right? Am I supposed tk do something else?
Paste that patch file in the location provided above.
