Flash from Chinese rom to Global rom. - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, my redmi note 5 Pro (whyred) is in Chinese rom v11.0.2.0 PEICNXM,
I tried Miflash flashed with Global v11.0.3.0 PEIMIXM but encountered error " antirbpass error".
Bootloader was Unlocked.
With OrangeFox recovery.
I have checked the anti value of current rom =4.
And the Global rom I am flashing is also =4.
They are of same equal value.
What could have gone wrong?
Please advise /help
Thank you.

This forum just basically dead, almost none of them use RN5pro anymore.
You need to flash dummy image before flashing the rom to bypass that error, search on miui forum or others to get that dummy image, i forget where to get it.

Thanks for the information.

Try to flash 11.0.3.0 via custom recovery and let me know if it works

Did you activate USB-Debugging on your device and did you start MiFlash while your device was in fastboot mode?

Q&A
Does TWRP from that chinese forum presist after flashing ?
No. Phone will go back to original RECOVERY after 2nd restart.
Does that TWRP is functional with REDMI NOTE 8 PRO ?
Some functions may work, some not.
Installing root with this TWRP will cause bootloop.
When something go wrong....
If you end up with BOOTLOOP, for any reason ( Magisk etc. )
Just flash boot.img from FASTBOOT + RECOVERY+BOOT and bring your phone back to life.
This boot.img was extracted from firmware linked above.

Are you using the note 8 pro?
If yes, then it is fully supported by mi flash? I think it's the safest way to flash stock rom right now because you don't have to unlock the boot loader just to flash global or china rom.

The ROM is based on the Chinese beta version 9.10.17 Miui 11 and the Magisk is integrated into the ROM. Just flashed the archive with ROM from TWRP. I do not have a direct link to ROM - I downloaded it from the OTA server. You need to ask on the developers site.

Need help in downgrading

I have redmi note 5 pro and I have installed the latest orange fox recovery in it. Please tell me how can i downgrade my miui 11.0.3.0 to miui 10.2.1.0 oreo without bricking my device.
Thanks in advance
I'm not sure (wait for a proper answer) but I think ROMs from MIUI 9.5.19.0 and above are ARB4. I recommend that you flash a fastboot ROM that include the proper firmware for Oreo.
Fastboot ROMs: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/whyred/
yes I recomend fastboot way too, not recovery's
I will like to ask people why recovery downgrading is risky as with custom recovery u can have n number of possibilities

Thanks buddy for ur help, I successfully downgraded to 10.2.1.0.
One more question, what is the minimum ROM version that i can downgrade to (I have ARB 4)?
Now your ARB version is 4.
You can download the offical ROM image package and exract it.
Then open the file called "flash_all.bat". Look for "set CURRENT_ANTI_VER" in this file and look at the ARB version of the package.
If the anti level is 4 , it's safe to downgrade to this version.
If it's below 4, DO NOT flash the ROM or your phone will be bricked.

First you have to downgrade to Android V9, i don't remember which MIU Version that is.
@mxpower, this is strictly not true, I have been able to install Pixel Experience ROM straight from the Global ROM V12.0.3.0.QGGMIXM A10 without needing to downgrade first.
I followed this CFW migration guide correctly (method 2) with no bootloops and all working correctly.
@perlene You probably flashed the wrong TWRP version, to be safe, Flash full MIUI firmware from SP Flash Tools or via fastboot and start over again
Same problem, I have tried few different twrps since yesterday, same keep bootlooping!! every try after flashed with full Miui firmware from Mi flash, still the same.
