Yes, you're right. My Klipsch Speaker is now connecting via aptX where before it would just say AAC.

think huawei stop APTX support or subscription with Qualcomm.
as of now, mate20x is not a officially supported device
https://www.aptx.com/products?field_product_brand_tid=290
no mate 20x in the official aptx website.
The Service mailed me that they want to phone with me.
That was 5 days ago...
Very strange behaviour
So has this been dropped or not because there some people for example,

Are saying that it still shows aptX in the Bluetooth settings at the end of the device name while connected?
That might be another case but i can confirm that it is not there in the developer options . If you have a sony headphone as an example , it will connect to the LDAC codec and you can't change it out there also I used a tool to check for it and it wasn't there
Aptx is present in emui 11 china rom

Audio codec after Android pie update

Greetings.
I received my android 9 update yesterday for my vivo v9. I notice however that after the update I cannot use aptx, aptx hd or ldac codec anymore for my fiio btr3, only sbc & AAC. Tried changing via dev option but it always revert back to AAC after. Does the android 9 update removes aptx & ldac codec?

aptx compatible?

Hi everyone, I´m about to buy a new pair of earphones and was wondering if our phone is compatible with a better audio codec
thanks in advance
samsung a50 doesn't have aptx codec, it only have A2DP the default for streaming audio over Bluetooth. but if you buy aptx earphone it can be use with a50 though

I have that phone with all of the latest updates, but I have no idea how to check what you're asking. If you let me know what I need to do, I'll help you if I can.
I’m on 10 and apt-x is not listed in Bluetooth audio codecs in developers options.
