Lol cool!!!

Hi
It seems after 621, https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/bug_tracker/issues/621
SODP has fixed the issue
* Screen wont wake
* GCAM doesnt work
*Photos app freezes whole system
But I would say the Camera photo quality is very crap even if I use ported HDR+ RAW GCAM.
Everything is too bright though.
At least now you can use it on daily instead of "Screen wont wake".
Can you make a confirm and do updates?
Or actually I has build AOSP, but not sure if I can merge into Lineage OS.

I see... And, sir... could you point a way out for me to learn skills can get the things possible?
I often see people doing kernel mods, port features, create ROMs, writing magisk modules or magisk itself,
I hope I can be powerful, doing similar things, with people together, but when I step in Android bottom world, from a normal kind of people, became a programmer, I went a far way, but still far from things. And lose the way, I don't know what's the next step to go. Of course there are lots of business app dev tutorial out there, and I learn from them, in the end, one key point wasn't found in my heart... I just become a programmer, but not a hacker.
People always get great things from hackers.
For example, now we know Xperia has a unique system file structure, and cause custom recovery image are hard to make compare to other phones. Result in latest TWRP can't run properly. You have to use the old version and lack some things only available in latest.
Another thing is the SODP kernel doesn't have a color calibration feature. And a Lineage OS based on SODP kernel instead of close source kernel. E.G. Google Camer HDR plus & Night sight & SuperResZoom were require RAW capture to work which only availalbe in SODP.
I'm not wanting to just sit there and prayer for things automatically done. I think I need some specially guide on these topics.

Does it throttle less then on stock kernel and is there any way to install stock kernel? Because I want my phone to throttle when executing less demanding tasks. When I play games, I can manually disable it...

That is sad. If Sony had an inbuilt recorder like all other flagships, I'd just stay with temp root on Android 8. It had everything I needed except internal audio recording...

Do u know how to change the thermal engine, so that my CPU starts throttling at 53 ℃ ? I've tried using a program I had on Android 8, but on Android 10 it only limits the CPU frequency at 2.2 Ghz and it still doesn't throttle after that

Edit:
Forgotten to mention in changelog post.
Added support for custom kernel, some of them cam improves volume output too along with performance nd battery,
Though its still in beta, its pretty much stable.
if u r flashing custom kernels, it means you are TESTING this feature.
i m expecting Bug reports rather than complaints.
I Dont have enough time to test every ro for couple of days, i have tested following kernels for few hours , almost every compatible(non treble, nougat) kernels are booting and stable too.
ArBeast R6 - N
Heliox-N
Heliox N with wlan as module,

Some people's reported that gcam is crashing for them.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The original dev 'Youlinw' have updated h2os on 20 feb 2018,
I have found and easy workaround fir enabling cam 2api pixel camera with working portrait mode without force closes/crash, just need to flash two zip files which will patch boot.img and place camera related files in appropriate locations, so it won't break existing oneplus camera so there will be no conflict and gcam will not crash, as it was happening on last build.
This time, I am not updating rom, you just need to flash rom, then zip provided here.
|| Flashing instructions ||
1) wipe data, system, cache, dalvic cache (clean flash is always recommended)
2) flash the original rom
3) boot into rom, setup, disable Chinese bloatware and system apps which you don't need (don't disable baiduIME this is default keyboard)
4) install google installer, press blue circular button to install play store, once all apps are installed, login your google account, tweak the rom as you want.
5) the reboot to twrp, Flash oss cam hal enabler v1. Zip
6)reboot,use the rom for few minutes, then flash oss cam hal enabler v2. Zip
7)reboot, install camera apk given in link, then use default settinga, you can tweak if you want but that may or may not cause stability issues.
Enjoy!!

1) use any baseband, it will update baseband to 1.70 no matter ok which baseband you were recently.
2) on which rom, this rom? Yes they crashes just restart the app, and as of now video recording is broken on gcam, use some third party apps, like bacon cam, open cam or any other for recording video.

what about the camera crash on h2os, solved or not?
Could you add Camera2 API to Ressurection Remix 5.8.5?

Thanks honestly.

Is it possible to fix camera app? It's so irritating when its crash. I won't leave this ROM because the performance and baterry are awesome!

yes i have done nothing, will wait for you to post fixes,
Moreover, this rom is just edited by me,not build by me, i dont have source codes of this rom, moreover its zip is password protected , go see yourself,
and Gcam is Crashing because Boot.img is not properly optimized for changes that i have made, and i cant optimize as of now it is almost impossible to extract and edit, i have tried more than 50 times.
and this is not whole new rom, this is just slightly modified version.

AEX (AOSP Extended) and other Official GSIs are the best Images You can get for now (No big Bugs). Only one unofficial GSI was running good for Me and that was Pixel Expierence from XDA. I really have to find a way to edit the Vendor Content of our XZPs to gain more Features and stuff Like that. There are just many things i miss on my Xperia which are available on My AMOLED Axon 7 after editing the Vendor/OEM Image manually with Root... But no Wonder, the OEM Images are directly from SONY... But i'm looking Forward. Treble is the best what happend to Android in all this Years

AEX is working nicely so far for me, this is a gamechanger for the XZP, I was beginning to look at new handsets but not for a while now.
WiFi working fine for me on G8141.

Same here in all Points. What a nice Gift to the Holidays My XZ Premium feels like a actual Device again. Think i'll get one for My GF too. The Prices are low atm and it's just a Solid Piece of Hardware combined with Treble. Was thinking about Xiaomi for her but the G8141 plays Out the Most actual Devices in the Price Range (~300€). Only real Upgrade for me could be a XZ3 but looks like that has to wait now...
Edit. Think the XZ Premium has the better Design and Speaker Layout. But damn, i would Like to have a 1440p OLED SONY ?
@OP
Could You add the Vendor Partition to the Wipe Menu ,and System and OEM/Vendor Options in the Image Flash Menu from TWRP? I have that Options on My Axon 7 (OKI Labs TWRP Mod from XDA). I'm also unsure if the AROMA TWRP Patch Out of this Forum is already included. The TWRP Versions we use is a bit older i think (3.1.xxxx).
Everything besides Bluetooth is working really Well. Performance is a lot better compared to My Axon 7 and more will be possible after playing around with the Vendor Content. Great Base to Play with!
Thanks again! I'll spent a Coffee next Year!
Just modified the source codes and complied it.
@Miustone how's the camera in our XZP with AEX? Is it still as 'grumpy' as it was on Oreo?
I remember you working on enhancing the camera for AOSP.

The SODP team has done a lot of work on Pie GSI compatibility. I just use the existed partitions and modified source code to make treble works on XZP.

It is much better right now. Full Camera 2 API Support including RAW and with the right APP like Open Camera do You have full Control of everything. The Sleep Dead Bug is with AEX no problem btw. Just enable the Always on Display Option and it will never sleep. Battery is pretty good and i get over the whole day with LTE+, Wifi and 4hrs+ Display usage. The Treble Kernel is really good and with some fine tuning with Kernel Adiutor is everything even better
I'm playing right now with the Vendor Partition eg. the build.prop and gained already some nice optimizations like better responding Ok Google Commands and better Noise Reduction. I think there will come soon some good stuff to Treble on our Xperias :fingers-crossed:

HAVE BEEN DELETED, I don't know what happen, his own website and his kernel is also deleted.
I have the same as the #5, but a bit different, there were 4 identical page on the screen, such like 4 1080p in a 4k screen, I think the 120HZ 1080p display driver is the reason.
I was on latest stock when flashing (following every step), when it boots and show the sony logo, it gets distorted (characters in the top and middle) and then reboots. I've reflashed stock, wiped everything including system, tried older twrp, and even flashed the G8142 image on my G8141, but i keep getting the distorted sony logo followed by a reboot. Is there anything else i have to do?
I had this issue before with AOSP but i never figured out how to fix it.
G8141, unlocked bootloader, .80 stock, twrp 3.3.1.0 and 3.2.3.0
del
Can I flash the kernel through twrp, then flash the zip?

Give it a week or so mate, lazerl0rd is studying/having exams for a while.
Hey, have you tested the performance of EAS kernel ?
Could you please test the scores of GeekBench ?
BTW, you'd better remove the rqbalance in devices tree and disable cpu_quiet in kernel.
Besides, you need to replace the PowerHal in common. The PowerHal of SODP doesn't support EAS, you need to port it from Pixel 2.
All in all, well done!
Any screenshot of the performance?
It was stopped at the android logo, it ran all night and did not enter the system. please help me!

It broken easily if screen off so please hold it on all the time.

EAS is not stable on SODP. GPU of MSM8998 is hard to afford 120Hz.
Smooth, fast(20sec boot time including 5 second bootloader unlocked nag!) and clean rom thanks a lot! Sadly not going to be my daily driver because lack of features, and my device overheats sadly because of 120hz. Also it takes me 3 reboots to get into recovery any idea why?
Advices:
Get rid of pre installed google, allow users to install separately.
JamesDSP should be stabilized, I just get FC all time can't get it to work. (Would be better to just remove as well and allow user to install separately)
Default DPI is too low, should be 420 for ease of use.
Sony camera should be added, as in Sjll's LineageOS. ***
Ancient app logos (kitkat calendar calculator etc) should be updated.
Device-wide dark mode which includes Phone, Calendar, Settings and Files should be made. **
Phone application should be de-google-ified, Spam filter inside just feeds Google with private call data. ***
Option to switch resolution and frame rate on the go.
Heyo, wondering if you can add a quick and dirty CIFS kernel module. There are some universal versions floating around online.
Signing them is above my skill level. I don't know if the signing process has to be implemented on a device by device level. If that is an impediment, maybe consider removing the requirement for kernel modules to be signed in the first place? I don't know, I'm no expert.
Just a PSA. Someone got rclone mounts working via Magisk. Can be found in repo. Sadly, no support for cifs or nfs. But webDav works. The largest downside is that the mounts can't be mounted directly onto sdcard. Something the cifs kernel module did no problem. With rclone you'll need an app with root browsing capability. Or at least full access to /storage.
UPDATE: The rclone Magisk version has been updated to support direct sdcard mounts! Yay! So, there isn't really a need for a cifs module.
However, I'm certain the performance will be better with a cifs module. So, it's not necessary, but could be a cool benefit if added.
Thanks for all the work! It doesn't go unnoticed.
i hope you add other version special 90hz because 120hz make my device overheats and thank you

It performs better, battery is decent now (after a load of changes). We now (as of today) have a Power HAL (libperfmgr) which supports DT2W on supported devices too. I may or may not update it to version 1.3.

I don't get all this 120Hz issue, it's not as simple as "set 120Hz get lag" and like our phone can handle it on UI, at least. The worst case is battery but IIRC it wasn't too different from 60Hz. Anyways it's 90Hz now.

I don't get all this 120Hz issue, it's not as simple as "set 120Hz get overheat" and like our phone can handle it on UI, at least. I changed up the thermal driver so it should be good now. Btw those thermal modules in Magisk won't change a thing as I use sultan's thermal framework now - not RQBalance stuff. DPI has an option on setup under "vision", choose what you like. I added GCam instead, it's gonna be better quality than Sony's crappy cam app. Ancient app logos aren't gonna be updated, these are ASOP packages - instead I'm replacing them with Google packages. Also I made everything Squircle shaped too. Device-wide dark mode will be coming soon, needs some kanging [with original authorship] from Q. Phone application should be de-google-ified -> you can turn off the spam filter and install any Dialer you want. I'm not dealing with darkening AOSP's package so that's why I'm using Googles. Google can get your data if Play Services is installed anyways. Option to switch resolution and frame rate on the go -> idk why SODP removed that.

Welcome to MIUI sGSI For Galaxy J7 2017
TESTED ON J730X

Read the instructions and the F.A.Q Before installing the rom or posting a reply.
I don't own any files here, except patch files.
So, we are here with sGSI. It's normally called "unstable" and "not for daily usage" so users are recommended to go for GSI. But GSI lacks features and has AOSP-like design that some users may be bored of that. And now we finally break that law. sGSI can now be used as daily drivers.
As the nature of these sGSI go, it was a non stop battle for almost 3 weeks straight to get it to this point where all features are working as expected. if you appreacite this work Hit the Thanks button
RULES OF POSTING : READ everything before commenting, And especially the instlal steps, the rom has been tested throughly for a long time, so if you have an critical issue like not booting or no sim, you missed the instructions, posts that are irrelevant to this project will be ignored(Constructive criticism is welcomed). If you do face a new bug however, dont just say "hey bug here" provide more information, and a LOGCAT, bug reports without logcats will most likely be ignored.

FAQ:
Good idea to read this F.A.Q While the rom is installing
Notes:
Q : Brightness bar not working / Camera doesn't work
A : You have flashed Spaget X instead of Spaget 3.0. Reinstall again
Q : Phone doesn't detect any SIM cards
A : Flash latest Cronos/KRAKEN kernel
Q : Everything on my screen is so small [J730 only]
A : Go to Settings > Developer settings > Set screen density to 411
Q : I got front camera stretch
A : Change resolution from 16:9 to 4:3
Q : Can I use front flashlight?
A : No, Samsung has their own libs, for now no apps can use front flashlight. Back flashlight still works
Q : How is battery Life ?
A : With some tests and some cycles, it will be better than stock due to optimzations
Q : the phone wont install any apps
A : Reboot
One more
does the rom have some type of error for daily use
VoLTE : Not work, need flash Magisk Module and using Phone App to VoLTE work
All work normal, just a Android Pie but like Android Q MIUI :good:
Great work
The first boot is so longer? I've waiting more than 10 minutes and don't boot. Or is bootloop?
And i've not found the MIUI-Patch.zip, only sGSI-Patch.zip
What android version is this? Can i flash the official magisk? There's no camera stretch bug? Like other gsi rom?

Updated FAQ and sGSI patch. I forgot to add an important fix in patch, so anyone using this MIUI, reflash the new patch right now :good:
I tried again, followed all the steps as requested. On the first boot, I restarted the phone after approximately 30 seconds. But I still bootloop. I'm using Project Spaget 3.0, but I can't find a topic in the forum. Could you send me your Project Spaget zip file?
My logcat is on attachments
nfc not working. I installed the fix on the twrp and it failed, I had to install the fix when I started the cell phone so that it did not give me an error and it appears as a module installed in magisk but it does not work

[ROM][A515F/DS][OneUI 3.1 - S20 Port] Just4Fun v1

HELLo everyone...
After several weeks, months and before Android 12 released, i decided to share this ROM to this A51 community. Hopefully you guys enjoy it and don't offend me if the ROM is bad, so....let's get it ON.
Things to do before flashing:
1. Make sure you're on binary 5 (this ROM tested and using binary 5 vendor, so to avoid any broken or whatever error flash your device with latest firmware).
2. Backup your IMEI (highly recommended).
Flashing:
1. Clean flash is recommended. Flash kernel, flash J4F vendor and system.img, flash multy disabler (if necessary) then full wipe and also you can perform "typing YES" format. Reboot to recovery again, then flash as usual you guys always do (Magisk etc.).
ROM Features from S20 and Note 20 line up:
1. Samsung Dex (not full features coz need fix at kernel level).
2. Flagship live blur
3. Flagship edge lighting style
4. AirCommand (S pen)
5. LiveDrawing
6. Multy screen resolutions (HD+ - FHD+ - WQHD+)
7. 1000++ system fonts
8. Flagship sound quality and effects
9. Camera features unlocked (pro video etc.)
10. All original A51 features
11. Common tweaks here and there and so many possibility to unlock another S20 features
Bugs:
Minor glitch in pro mode video, and not really remember and deep testing everything, but hopefully still acceptable (hopefully ) but yeah..nothing's perfect, if you found one let's discuss together in A51 telegram group: https://t.me/samsunga51

Advise and Tips:
- It's normal during first boot if lags occurs, give the ROM some times to settle, finish your setup, update your apps and you good to go..
- It's better to avoid update in Galaxy store related to system app, such as MDE Service Framework, Samsung Core Services etc. It might causing conflict due to mixed up firmware. But anyway it's up to you.
- Please do not complain regarding app missing (getting debloated) and related to debloat. Because it's very hard to acomodate every person's taste. Bloatware is very Objective and absurd for each person and I know it's supposed to be using Aroma installer or any script but i don't have time that much to do that.
