Installation Instructions (SPECIAL)
Download the PitchBlack zip and recovery.img to your PC.
Reboot to your current custom recovery.
Flash the PitchBlack zip (eg use 'sideload') (puts some files onto your internal sdcard)
Reboot to bootloader.
Boot into recovery:

Experimental, because:
PBRP recovery image doesn't fit onto Athene's 16 MB recovery partition.
It can still be booted into, by using the 'fastboot boot recovery.img' command,
which won't change anything on the device.
Tested ok:
- Backup/Restore
- Flash 32 bit ROM (SuperiorOS)
- Flash 64 bit ROM (ArrowOS)
I flash zip file and later flash recovery.img using adb fastboot. After i got pitch black recovery interface in which i done factory format. Due to this i lost pitch black recovery interface and came to normal twrp 3.3.1. Any way to retain pitch black even after factory format.

That's difficult (and that's why I stated it is 'experimental'):
the recovery.img is too big for the recovery partition, so it cannot be made 'permanent' easily.
One way would be to shrink the kernel (remove functionality), but I doubt it would be enough.
The other way is to increase the size of the recovery partition (on the cost of 'persist'),
but I don't (yet) know how to do this.
So for now, it is just a kind of 'demo', to see how it looks like, and what functionality is there
(tools are accessible on the upper right corner).
Updated to PBRP version v3.0.0 --- see changelog in OP.

Ok well with twrp I could not get it to work it would just sit and boot loop until the phone would revert back to slot a I was trying to root my gfs phone

Were you using twrp boot image? Also try flashing vbmeta if you haven't yet.
Yes the img not the zip file and I'll look into vbmeta

On the curtana thread, they say there's a bug and if you do not have encryption, you should just press 'cancel' and it should continue as normal. I have not tested this, just saw it there and thought it may help.

BUGS:
* Decryption: prebuilt kernel has execve disabler driver so decryption hals don't start (kernel source released doesn't boot either, so can't really do much about it for now.)
* Flashlight: strangely enough, the sysfs nodes aren't responding.
* Backup of /data: sometimes will fail because of the decryption failing resulting in stupid long filenames which the recovery can't deal with.

INSTALLATION:
1. Download the OrangeFox zip and image to your device
2. Reboot to bootloader
3. Fastboot boot the OrangeFox image
4. Install the OrangeFox zip as a normal zip installer
5. The device will automatically reboot into OrangeFox recovery after installation (allow this to happen)
6. Enjoy!

Sorry, there is no firmware available to unbrick the device. You need to go to service center to follow up the Recovery .

Twrp didn't install , so I tried this, it did install on Android 10 v.c.17 , flashed this recovery with flashify app, ... These r the things I found out.
After flashing recovery , you may reboot to recovery, after rebooting you will get small message in downleft corner recovery mode , after that the screen will turn off, if wait to see what happens next after a long time realme will reboot to system & recovery is spitted out returning to default stock recovery.
To avoid stock recovery Press volume - button as soon as you see blank screen after recovery mode message. Press for 55+ seconds, then orange fox logo appeared, you cannot use touch for some 35 seconds after that recovery is usable,
And only read only mode is available so no backup can be made with this recovery , but all other options are access abke & maybe they work too..
Fix the above mentioned bugs & this unofficial recovery may become official. This recovery works, but also gives a scare.
I think the files part is confusing,(1)
(2) storage mounted as read only
(3) screen time out leads to a black hole, so you have to reboot.
Orangefox unofficial & Skyhawk unofficial both works on realme 3 on Android 10, but are set to readonly, backup are not possible now, future releases may fix this bug..
@mochi_wwww can fix the bugs and post new updated recovery??
