hi all, i need some help. I am using a taiwan 64gb htc 10, and i have read that many people in this forum using taiwan sets have received updates OTA. But i haven't been able to receive any updates of yet. Is my set faulty? Pls advise....i am using the set in Singapore
Hi,
Is your phone carrier free? If not that's the problem as carriers deliver the updates slower than HTC does with their unlocked phones.
You should consider that updates are not delivered to everyone at same time as this will collapse servers. Updates are delivered in groups.
What software version do you have?

If you are impatient, you could download the OTA package and manually update your phone.
same here, taiwan version, still 1.92 update or not, i'm happy with my 10

I am not from India & I'm looking for information on the India variant. I have e-mailed honor India and got information that looks different from what I have seen online.
From looking at an online seller of the 7x in India, the model number they show is the BND-AL10 version (32GB Version), however the response I received from Honor was the version sold in India is - Honor 7x >> Bond-L22B (32GB) = BND-L22 (which is the same as gsmarena info). From what I have seen online, the box says BND-AL10.
- On the device itself under the ''About Phone'' section what does the model number say? Is it the same on the box and the about phone section, BND-AL10?
Also while reading on this site, the BND-AL10 version is also the Chinese variant, so do the phones that are sold in either country receive OTA'S on similar timelines? I'm guessing the one sold in India is configured for the market, google, etc
- On the version sold in India, does it have a lot of pre-loaded app's that are native for the India region and can it be uninstalled?
- Can OTA updates be received when outside of India or are OTA updates dependent on having an active India sim card in?
- If OTA'S are not received when the device is out of India, can it be loaded manually & how so?

My device shows bnd-al10, in retail box and in about phone section too.
Yes it has some pre loaded apps but most of them ar uninstallable.(truecaller, facebook, ucbrowser and some games)
Ota update does not depend of sim card, you will get the update when a update for Indian variant is released. Independent upon where you are.
You can update manually if you can't wait for the update to be released for your variant by using firmware finder app. (Instructions are given in that app)

In terms of the OTA updates, honor india response was that i will not receive any OTA once the device was out of india, which I found strange. Hence i thought maybe it was about having an active sim. I believe your answer makes sense but not sure why they said no. If OTA's for example do not come to the device, is there a way of installing it manually?
In regards to updates, i have seen on the site that they have a software page, how would one go about updating from their page? Load the file on a sd, etc.. any link for the process to follow?

As i said you can force update manually by using firmware finder app

Maybe as Suggested in the thread is to try updating with the firmware finder app and see if that works since you haven't received updates as yet?

i used firmware finder, it find the update but after download completion, its did not install.
Once you have used FunkyHuawei to install a firmware update can you then go back to OTA updates? I ask because I have two Mate 20 x EVR L29 phones. The one I have updated with FunkyHuawei isn't receiving the EMUI 9.1 update, even after switching regions in the HiCare app. The other one got the 9.1 update notification as soon as I switched regions to Singapore. FunkyHuawei hasn't provided the latest update on it's site yet (odd they are a week behind Huawei itself).
My second EVR L29 just got its second EMUI 9.1 update, but the phone I previously upgraded with FunkyHuawei is still on 9.0. There has been no activity on the funkyHuawei Twitter feed since June 22nd. What is happening?

I am new here and this is my 1st post. I have a S20 on ee and i cannot get the ui3 update. Everytime i use the software update i get a message stating my software is up to date but i am still on ui2.1 android 10. I have tried using smart seitch to find update but no luck. I have gone through Samsung and they said your phone was not made for UK market although it was bought on affordable mobiles .co.uk. They advised that it will update at some time. Any help appreciated
