Getting HTC media player back?

I installed Skyraider 2.5.2 vanilla, the only thing I need from Sense is the media player.
The Stock media player doesn't read the internal memory where all my music is (I still have a the 2gb and it's full to the brim)
Does anyone know of a way to install the HTC media player, and will the lock screen controls play nice with the vanilla lock screen.
If it doesn't play nicely with the lock screen is there a way to get the vanilla media player to read the internal memory?

You no longer get lockscreen controls, thats a feature of the sense lockscreen. I'm not sure you would be able to get it back with the controls on the lockscreen. Check out "MixZing Media Player" from the market. It reads from both and also has its own lockscreen widget and controls.

[Q] music player widget

I've been looking everywhere for a widget that can control the music like skip, Pause, play for the default player. I couldn't believe android lacks such a simple feature; when I had an iPod touch, whilst the screen was locked, double clicking the home screen would bring up the pause/play, skip buttons.
Whereas now when the screen is locked, I have to unlock the screen to get to the music player to be able to change the track etc.

MIUI Roms have this feature... And the PlayerPRO also has it. You have to turn on in program's Settings

Dont want to flash a new rom on it. Don't want to change the default player either, as I've tried others and are more ram hungry than the default player.

its depend on stock roms,you cant say all android roms has no feature like that,in android you can have everything that iphone has and not,just try search this forum..

Then, I think there's only one other option, get a LiveView (soon SmartWatch) or a wireless headset.

Try PowerAMP or Winamp!

But the thing is with Winamp or Poweramp, they're more RAM hungry (i.e. they use up a lot more RAM) than the original Music Player.
The Default music player does have a widget, but it is permanently on screen and doesn't disappear when the music is turned off, as I would like to have one on my lockscreen and would like to control my music from there i.e. skip tracks etc rather than having to unlock then go to the widget.

With WidgetLocker Lockscreen you can put a music player widget on your lockscreen

Try this app and enable lockscreen controls from settings menu.
I know its not a stock replacement app but its worth a try..

it adds on to your player and create a remote for your player .... you can even use your hand free to create a remote

I use Player Pro but it's not free. You can enable lock screen controls 2x4 and 4x4. It's a really nice player IMO. You can look up lyrics from it and all that jazz.

I have Player Pro, but couldn't get the lock screen controls to appear. What settings do I have to have for the lock screen, right now I have it set for pattern and it wont show up? I used Player Pro on my EVO 4G.

Stock player has the capacity to do so.. What I do is setup the lockscreen with the Pattern Lock.. it'll show the controls that way.

Got to settings, lockscreen, then widget and choose what you want. Make sure "hide controls" isn't checked. Player Pro has no equal in my book.

I have Winamp pro. I would say it was worth the 5 bucks for the equalizer and no delay between track changes. I javelin no experience with the lockscreen player.

PIN Lockscreen music controls

Ok this is driving me nuts. I have no lockscreen controls when I am using the 4 digit PIN lockscreen. I am on the stock everything. Strangely, the app Beyondpod player has lockscreen controls but the stock music player and winamp does not. I haven't tried Google Music or Poweramp yet. TIA

I fixed this by downloading an app called Cloudskipper. It has it's own lockscreen which comes in front of the PIN lockscreen. I've seen reports of the lockscreen bypassing onto the homescreen but this is not the case with Galaxy S3. The PIN lockscreen always comes up if you want to get onto the homescreen.

[Q] Play Music lock screen?

So I've been a bit bummed that I don't have a full screen music widget with controls on my lock screen, as I mainly use my tablet when I play Music. The other day I used my Nexus 6, and saw that when I used Play Music, it had full - screen lock controls for music and artwork. It looked awesome! Is there any way to make that happen on the Tab S?
If not, is there any app or mod I can use to make widget or music controls a thing again for the lock screen?

I don't know if you want to go this far, but Euphoria ROM has that, and even has an equalizer animation on the lock screen when music is playing! Perhaps it's an AOSP thing, although the TW on my Note 4 does have the album cover and controls on the lock screen

I've been thinking about putting a ROM on it, I just couldn't decide on a decent one that was stable on Lollipop yet. I'm not a fan of flashing nightlies or weeklies. I'll have to check out Euphoria now, thanks for the suggestion!
Sort of on topic, any suggestions for a tablet-optimized music player? I've been using Shuttle and I love it, but the controls are so tiny on the 8.4 that I miss constantly.
