Adds a configurable Energy Notch around the camera notch indicating current Battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only you can quickly glance and get the battery info but, Energy Notch adds an accent to your phone's camera notch.
Got a full charge? The Notch will be wrapping the entire curve of your notch like an arc.
Battery depleting? So will the arc of Energy Notch.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy Notch can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring
✓ Energy Notch puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
✓ Energy Notch direction can be configured as left/center/right
✓ Energy Notch can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Notch can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Notch could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Notch has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Notch consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Notch more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Notch sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Notch. Once awake, Energy Notch quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Notch goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Notch to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.

Tell s me not compatible with my rn7 I'm on cr droid 6.8

Hi. You should also post this in Note 7 Pro forums. It has the same dimensions as the Note 7.
Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using XDA Labs

Careful with this app says the redmi note 7 can use it but will not show in the play store and when you can open it in the play store its says not compatible very suspicious.

Anytime soon for RN8pro??? And does it support notification breathing effect?

Not compatible
Says not compatible in play store I am using redmi note 7s with PA rom

For everyone complaining about the compatibility on Redmi Note 7, this easily can be tracked down to one simple fact.
Custom ROMs, including my EvoX or the PE by letsmakecakes uses the Pixel 4 XL's fingerprint, which will make the device appear as a Pixel 4 XL to Google Play Services in order to pass SafetyNet's CTS checks. Just sideload the .apk if you are on a Custom ROM
OP, think about adding this to the OG thread or whitelisting the Pixel 4 XL as supported

Apk link please

Tried on my Redmi Note 7 4 / 128 Gb with EU MIUI 12.1
When enabling accessibility, it says that my device is not supported :laugh::laugh:
Uninstalled in a few seconds :laugh::laugh:

Good idea... Tried in my RN7 with Havoc Os and it works... Left side of the ring is thinner and I should configure to 9 notch thickness but it's funny in general... Gradient feature is very good... Thanks dev! :good:

First first first ?
Is there a transparent status bar?
Howdy,
Thanks for your work. I have a few questions, if you care to answer. If they seem like newbie questions, that's because I am a newbie.
When you describe your ROM as 'lightweight', what exactly do you mean? What has been taken out of Google's code that makes this better than aosp in terms of battery, performance, stability?
Second, Google's official list of Nexus images doesn't have LMY47I for manta yet, only LMY47D. Are they delaying release because it isn't finalised and bug-free yet? In that case would it have been better to base you ROM on the released version?
Third, afaik franciscofranco hasn't released his lollipop manta kernel yet, so which kernel are you using?
Lastly, I'm on the stock LMY47D, rooted. Your promise of battery, stability, performance seems attractive. Games, movies & web are 99% of what I do on my N10. Do you think I should switch? I'll need to decide for myself, I know. Just asking your personal opinion.
Cheers, and thanks once more.
Thanks guys for bringing Chroma to our Manta. Already installed, it's a smooth sailing. Paired with Khaons kernel is flying. I can't find any bugs so far... Oh...now it's hard to choose what layers to install

Sorry it took long to answer, been out and about with no service.
Chroma is based on aosp with some bloat removed (mostly outdated aosp apps) and lightweight code for features (no big bloated code )
Google releases don't matter because we have the source code for lm47I (which was mostly sim code changes so those don't apply to tablets)
This doesn't have Franco kernel (other devices with chroma have it if a current supported kernel is available), this uses the prebuilt stock aosp kernel for now.
As far as battery, stability, etc. Fixing bugs in aosp's code improves these. Performance is achieved by bug fixes and a art conpiler trick (the optimizing apps at first boot) that force more into the ahead of time cache files
Can anyone confirm audio working? Not getting any sound through the soaker speaker or headphones... I'm at work, try to do a log cat later

Maybe it's just me, but after going through the set up and about to restore my apps, I just keep getting "unfortunately Google Play Store has steopped". This only happens after I flash GApps, until then the ROM is stable(ish)

It's a problem with the GApps. Apparently a number of GApps are having this problem when using the new gapps.
To workaround the problem, go to Settings > Apps > Play Store and clear app and clear cache.
Or use older gapps, I mirrored the old GApps https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934551489

PLUS BEAT
An Alternative to Notification LED on OnePlus 6T
One Plus 6T is a beast but it lacks a notification LED. It's a tedious process to pick your phone up just to check if you have unread notifications. Plus Beat makes use of Ambient Display and generates pulses after regular time intervals. The time interval can be set by the user. The ambient display lits up if there is an unread notification.
Tested on: OnePlus 6/6T/5/5T/3/3T. Not tested on other phones but should work with any phone supporting Ambient Display and wake screen for new notifications. However, only OnePlus 6T is officially supported as that's the device I own
Features:
Set time interval for notification loop on ambient display
Per app configurable notifications - Choose apps to display notifications.
Hide or Show Notification content on per app basis - Show or hide notification content on per app basis/
Stealth Mode - Hide all the content and show notification in the form of the app icon.
DND Profiles - Add Do Not Disturb timings to pause Plus Beat.
Custom colors for notification icons.
Work in Progress Features:
Time interval for notification content display.
Time after which the app should stop showing notifications.

Please post feature requests, bugs, etc. and help me improve the app. Before posting bugs, please make sure:
Make sure 'Wake screen when you receive notifications' is enabled under Settings > Display > Ambient Display.
Make sure 'Plus Beat' is removed from Battery Optimizations. This is important for the app to function properly. Otherwise, the app might malfunction on reboot. OnePlus has strict policies on app start on boot. If it shows already 'Not optimizing', select optimize and reselect don't optimize. Restart the device and check if it's working. If the app doesn't work, please repeat this process.

Just downloaded hopefully this one can become the go to app for notifications that we need. Thank you.
Editne minor complaint and one suggestion off the get go
Complaint: minimum of 10 second pulse, personally I like the pulses around 3 seconds so I can see with a glance especially at work if I have a notification
Suggestion: implementation of per contact color of notifications, or at least give certain contacts a special color
Hello,
Great work !
best notification app for oneplus this one is a lifesaver to me
(in future improvement) would it be possible to have multiple notifications on the screen ? or select the number to display ?

This would be very specific as not all apps show notifications which have contacts in them like WhatsApp, Messenger, etc. Nice suggestion though. I'll think something on similar lines

Multiple notifications aren't possible because of the way Ambient Display works. It will always show the latest notification. The work on the app was actually started with this idea of multiple notifications but the Ambient Display itself doesn't support it

Oh that makes sense and no biggie was just an idea, faster pulse options would definitely be a good touch though. Also found something else that would be nice, a hex code box on the color chooser would be nice for those of us who want the color just right.

I think something like ""quite hours" would be nice. When you goes to bed and put your device next to it, is no fun to have phone which flashes screen every 10 sec
Keeping an eye on this as it is similar to pixel pulse. Glad to see we have options
Great app but if there any chance to include the clock in the pulse? I assume I can't be the only one that uses their phone as their bedside clock.

Is there any way to hide the fingerprint icon while pulsing? Either with the app or by way of outside (root) modification?
Works great! Thanks for this.

Add option to change the scale of icon
Add option to move icon

It's not off actually. When notifications are rendered, the icons are small and colors go a bit on the lighter shade. Adding an update to set color as hex directly

Got a question for you is there anyway to save our setting and transfer to a new phone. I use this on my s10plus already.

Thats not possible currently
btw, dont have a note 20 yet, but light around cutout should be positioned fine.
I'll be getting my N20U today and will definitely look into this. Can you tell me if there's an RGB setting for the camera ring? That would be cool!

I was looking to see if there was an RGB rainbow effect with the spinning notification. I downloaded the app and I don't think one is available. Maybe a suggestion for a future release?
Thanks!
I like the app and was thinking about buying pro. If I do can I add to family library for my wife to use too?
This app works perfectly, enjoy the coffee from me and my wife's apps!
Works great on Note 20 Ultra. In my opinion best notification out there for N10+ and 20 Ultra

Hey...
Lighting around front facing camera is spot on...no problems. However, on lockscreen the lighting around fingerprint is way off. Just a heads up for problems to probably address.

Jawomo...I tried to send a video...but XDA didn't support that file type via Tapatalk...the picture below however, shows part of a blue ring (it was rotating). As you can see, the Fingerprint placement is a little higher up. Hope this kinda gives you a visual of how it is off.

About this app:
Refresh Rate Mods
Change default refresh rates
-Easily change the overall refresh rate settings of devices supporting multiple refresh rates.
-Set supported mid refresh rates as the maximum refresh rate limit for battery savings (e.g. 96hz instead of 120Hz).
-Quick settings shortcut
-Tasker plugin support
Note: It's reported that after a certain Samsung's update, 96Hz on Adaptive Mode doesn't anymore work on S22 while on normal power mode. But still working while on power saving mode on certain brightness level. Unfortunately, this is beyond control of GMH.
Motion smoothness mode switcher(Normal, Adaptive or High)***
-Set you device motion smoothness mode to stationary refresh rates (high mode) for better smoothness if so desired on Samsung devices with native Adaptive motion smoothness with a little trade-off to the battery.
-Apply adaptive mod on device that don't natively support adaptive mode [premium]
-Tasker plugin support
Per-app refresh rate settings:
Set different refresh rate settings for every app either adaptive or fixed(stationary) [premium].
Motion smoothness on power saving mode (not working to all devices with OneUI4.**+, test first). ***
-GMH will apply a workaround to bypass 60Hz limitation on Power Saving Mode (PSM) on supported Samsung smartphones.
-Automatically apply workaround when PSM is enabled [premium]
Note: It's reported that this workaround is blocked and not working in OneUi5.0 on S22
Screen-off Mods:
Force to Lowest Hz
-Force the lowest refresh rate on screen-off or Always-On Display(AOD) to improve standby power consumption a bit.
-Select refresh rate to set for AOD/screen-off[premium]
-Tasker plugin support.
Auto apply power saving mode during screen-off ***
Auto disable Autosync***
Quick-doze mod
-Quickly enter doze mode during screen-off that can not be interrupted by motion [premium]***
-Tasker plugin support
Auto SENSORS OFF (experimental non-root workaround)
-Device sensors will automatically turn off while screen is off until the device is unlocked to help minimize battery-draining motion-triggered wakelocks while device is not being used [premium]
-Tasker plug-in support
- Supports up to OneUI4.* only
Others
Battery protection mod (Experimental)
-Option to set maximum charge to 86%-95%(for OneUI4+)[premium]
Quick resolution switcher
-Easily switch to any supported resolutions using the included quick setting tile***
-Tasker plugin support
Customizable refresh rate monitor
-Use statusbar or overlay which you can place anywhere on screen.
-Tasker plugin support
Net speed statusbar indicator
OneUI inspired UI. Dynamic theme and Icon. Manual language selection
Note: The premium license is on a per device basis (not per user).
***these marked features require a one-time ADB procedure (this is not root)
Galaxy Max Hz background service is highly optimized. Background battery usage p is very negligible .
Info:
This app targets older android sdk in order to control refresh rates without ADB setup or root. Just tap OK the dialog that says "This app was built for an older version of Android...." when opened for the first time. If OK button is not visible, just tap the blank space on the lowest portion of the dialog.
If google play protect will prompt during install that the app is built for older version of android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections, you can ignore it and proceed to the installation. For privacy related concern, please refer to FAQ No. 3.

Judging by the Hz counter in Developer Options, it works like a charm to set refresh rate to 10hz when the AOD is on on the S22. Thank you for your work!

Same here with Snapdragon variant, seems to just drop it down to 60 according to refresh rate overlay in Developer settings.
S22 SD variant here, I can confirm
96hz does not work when set as Min/Max (will default to 60hz)
48hz does not work when set as Min/Max (will default to 30hz)
Other than that, Great job. I can see myself getting premium.

Strange. S22 is advertized to support 48hz.
May I know the lowest refresh rate S22 normally goes down on stock (when galaxy max hz is not installed)? Thank you

On stock I can see it go down to 24hz but your premium trial make it go down to 10hz.

S22 SD, 96Hz adaptive doesn't work. It will switch between 24Hz and 60Hz....However, setting Max Hz to HIGH 96Hz works but will keep 96Hz as fixed.

I brought the premium version of galaxy hz for my s20 a while ago, could I somehow migrate the license to my s22, like deactivating s20 version and enabling it on my s22?
Coffee
96Hz works again after the latest update.
And after 3 hours it doesn't work, again.
i've bought the pro version for my s22. What I'd like to achieve is 96hz adaptive to 24hz. Not possible atm. Let'hope Tribalfs make it possible
Hello, for to get more lower frequencies ( 30-48 mhz) i have to disable the battery saver ( when i place this battery saver option the screen is placed to 60 mhz by default), can you fix this? thanks

Got my S22 Ultra today, and as far as I can see, aodnotify isn't working for me.
I'm attempting to just have a notification light around the camera edge, but nothing is showing.
I have the correct accessibility settings enabled and have tried the basic steps in the faq/help.

Just saw you have an Ultra. theres a dedicated ultra forum. Have the app reported to be working on Ultra there.
Normally just install and youre ready. Do you use any powersaving apps which may interfere?
hi Jawomo, thanx for your work. I have an issue with the app that notificatiIn light doesnt pop up after the 30sec interval (stamina mode). It pops up correctly in the beginning then after 30 sec goes off but never comes up again. Same with the interval mode.I'm using the paid version of the app in a s20 fe.any clue what could be wrong?

New 3.75 update for S22 is online!
Great app mate! Bought PRO version, definately worth it!
Is it possible to transfer pro mode between different phones? I bought it on my pixel6pro but now I use a s22 Ultra.
I bought the pro version on my pixel but I have sold the phone and got the s22 ultra instead, is it possible to switch the license from pixel to s22 ultra without paying again? Thanks.
I love this app on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra! Is it possible to have it set to Tap to Show (or any mode, that's just what I like) and only have the notification light around the camera go off/blink 3 times (or for 5 seconds or something similar?). The idea being it pops up once for a short period of time so it does not constantly go off?
After the last system update on August 31, 2022, the notification diode does not work with the AOD turned off, it worked previously

That's a bummer to hear. I just picked up an S10e and I'm coming from an S9. Would love a way to recreate LED notifications without draining the battery. Kind of sucks this is the way it has to be done (using the always on display), since I really don't see the point of an AOD. I had originally planned to use this app with AOD turned off and only coming on with a notification, but I guess that won't work after the update.
Is there any reports of screen burning or is it possible?
Hi,
Samsung A52s 5G, ONE UI 4.1, Android 12, aodNotify v3.85. Activated notification preview (icons). When the first notification arrives, the notification icon on the AoD does not light up (the LED lights up). When a second different notification arrives, then the two icons suddenly appear.
But it is necessary to fix this problem since when the first notification arrives the AoD remains dark and the icons are not activated until the second one arrives.
Suggestion: You could add the LED movement option to avoid the screen burn effect.
Thanks.
S22 Ultra, ONE UI 4.1, Android 12, aodNotify v3.85. I am still in the testing phase.
Question: There is a floating icon that shows on all pages. It has floating, attach to edge and minimize to an edge. I don't know what this does. When I press it, nothing happens. How do I hide it?
Update: I saw a Facebook post on this. Some how a setting in Accessibility was turned on. I turned it off and it fixed the problem.
