Manage Apps - Uninstall button stopped working - Redmi Note 8 Questions & Answers

Global Rom 11.0.9.0 rooted with TWRP and Magisk. Using Terminal debloater to gradually get rid of both miui bloat and google stuff.
Has been working ok until after debloating Cleaner, Games, Google Velvet, google One time initializer and google partner set up and google play services and Framework and Play store.
"Downloads" as a heading was in twice as well and took both of them out.
I would not have expected any of these to have stopped that function - anybody have a suggestion as currently cannot actually uninstall those and others?

If your trying to remove all good stuff. Maybe easier to try install a China ROM instead of global. It already has no Google.
Since you are removing playstore and framework, all other Google apps would not function.
And the cleaner app aid closely tied to miui security app, and that can't be uninstalled.

That is the point - I don't want any Google, but I also don't want loads of Chinese tracking instead.
I will probably move soon to a custom rom but wanted to try Miui first for a bit.
I will see if I can reinstall the cleaner although I have read elsewhere it was removed without fuss.

For reference for anyone else who has this issue I did this via the debloater module and lo and behold Uninstall now works........

[Q] Google Addons

What exactly is Google Addons?
The market
Sent from my Vision using XDA Premium App
The Google Apps? You need them so you're apps function correctly, gmail, market, ect. Needed to be flashed up your first installation of a gingerbread rom. If you mean when you first boot up your phone, just extra apps you can install if you want.
The Google Apps addon is a flashable ZIP which contains the files for the Android Market, Google Talk, Google Sync, and other back-end files and libraries needed for Google applications from the Market, like those that allow for C2DM (push notifications).
They aren't included in CyanogenMod and other similar ROMs due to Google throwing a hissy fit back in CM4, saying that CM could be used to port those applications to devices which don't come with Google Apps, despite the fact that there are no such devices currently in development, let alone back then.
Ok so if I'm installing any AOSP ROM's then I need to install the Google Addon's as well. But this is not needed with any Sense ROM's. Thanks all!

Next 3D Launcher Google Play verification error (purchased app!)

Hi all,
yesterday I have updated to the latest Malaysk ROM for my RK3188.
I have already purchased the latest version on Next 3D launcher on Google Play Store.
Now when I reboot the device, Next Launcher tells me that there is no purchase verification available on Play Store.
After the message Next Launcher is gone!
So I searched on the web and found the Lucky Patcher that will "patch" the Play Store to fix the problem.
So far installation of the Lucky Patcher and the modified store was successful - BUT on next reboot the Next Launcher still throws the error message and is disabled afterwards.
Are there any additional steps needed to make this work?
Thanks for your help
André
If you're using the launcher version included in the ROM, this app might be patched and so might fail the Google Play verification.
Since you have purchased the legitimate version, simply uninstall the ROM launcher app and install a new one from the Google Play.

I finally managed to get Next Launcher working in my existing Malaysk ROM.
Can't tell the reason, because I had to try several things.
First of all I needed to install/activate the preinstalled Xposed framework.
Player around with some switches in Lucky Patcher and user the Google Play Store Installer (from within Lucky Patcher).
After that installed Next Launcher from (modded) Google Playstore again and finally the purchase verification worked.
So thanks everybody for your support !

Stock used Safestrap to flash over some gapps and just installed it that way and it all worked fine (gapps Google Apps Minimal Edition for Android 4.4.x) im sure i did this before but open gapps wouldent let snapchat work
if we could remove all of amazons stuff off the rom and replace it with others from a flashable zip or something it would be better as other apps like snapchat and barcode scanners would work, the problem is i have no idea how to remove stuff from the stock rom. I used system app remover and started removing stuff for fun. on cm 11 right now there are 61 system apps right now i did remove some anyway on stock it was like 270 something better if we round down to like 230, rather then port roms i think we should make fire os better i mean i love the swiping up to go back and having no status bar or that pressing the home button would open resent apps and you could close them from there, swiping down would open the notifications bar and other bits i mean its good when you think about it and the best think is the battery life but im sure thats because of the lack gapps . sorry for the spelling <3

[GUIDE] ARCore Enable - No root

Hi guys,
Since we're waiting forever for official ARCore support for our device, I've checked the official Telegram group MOD EDIT: Telegram link removed, please read the STICKY! and thanks to one of the admins suggestion (user: $android_lover[*_*]//=-=//), we can now enjoy the ar stuff without root, magisk modules, etc.
All you have to do is:
1. Join the beta program for "Google Play services" app in the Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms&hl=en);
2. Download and install "Google Play Services for AR" from APKMirror (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/arcore/);
3. Since this is not official, the Play Store won't allow you to download AR apps due to compatibility issues, so you have to manually download and install the apps you want to use (via APKMirror or elsewhere). I've already tried and used "Just a line", "Measure", "ARuler", "BBC Civilisations AR" and also the 3D animals from the Google app;
4. You can leave the "Google Play services" beta program if you want to;
5. That's it, go nuts.
TIP: You can also use "Playground" (the Google AR sticker app) with the latest Gcam (7.3.020_2.0) and the Arnova8G2's mod of "Playground" that also can be found on APKMirror (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/arnova8g2/).
I'm on stock 11.0.2.0 (QGGEUXM), with no root and locked bootloader. To be honest, there are some minor bugs here and there (it depends on the app), but it's better than nothing and it all works like a charm, at least in my case.
Enjoy and thank $android_lover[*_*]//=-=// on Telegram.

Convert China Miui Rom to Global Miui

I have installed Miui China beta Rom on my Redmi note 5 pro, but it comes with nonsense Chinese app and no Google services ...
Is there any options to install Google services and play store and remove all nonsense Chinese app
I think you should use xiaomi.eu.

Talking about a way there are 2 ways
1. Open app store and type Google and drag down u wil see play store icon and download this to install play services.To remove bloat u have to remove manually but still u can't remove all unless u r rooted
2. Second way is use Xiaomi.Eu rom which is based on china stable/weekly and comes without any bloat and more features than global version (I am using Xiaomi.eu 26th march 2020 build)
Cheers
Thanks Bro, I Know This Methods but I want to 2 it by my self. I have rooted the phone. When ever I try to remove all the nonsense Chinese app (Like Get app) and convert play store and play services as system app device just doesn't boot us...
How do Xioami.eu Does it. It's uses Chinese Rom as base and just removes all the Chinese app and add play store... How can I do the same

Wrong section. This has nothing to do with development.
