Adds a configurable Energy Ring around the camera lens indicating current Battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only you can quickly glance and get the battery info but, Energy Ring adds an accent to your phone's camera lens.
Got a full charge? The Ring will be a 360 degree wrap around the front camera lens.
Battery depleting? So will the arc of Energy Ring.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy Ring can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring
✓ Energy Ring puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
✓ Energy Ring's direction can be configured as clockwise/bidirectional/anti-clockwise
✓ Energy Ring can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Ring can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Ring could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Ring has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Ring consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Ring more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.
Download now from Google Play Store! And if you like, please leave a rating.

Please note that, the version you download from Play Store must be ER_GEN_2.5 or above for OnePlus Nord. If you don't see the latest version on Play Store, clear the cache of the Play Store App and check again.
Also, I would appreciate if someone posts some good photos of Energy Ring on OnePlus Nord (not screenshot, but a photo with another phone/camera.)

Just installed it and it works perfectly on my NORD.
One question, how about the burn-in effect?

Glad that know it works great on your phone, possible to attach some pics (not screenshots) of it?
Regarding burn-ins, as the Play Store description says,
Screen burn-in:
The original variant of the App, Energy Bar has been used over several years by users on their AMOLED devices, there has been no complains. But there is no claim that it may not happen.

Thanks for the quick reply.
One question: When i lock the phone and then go back to the lockscreen the ring disapears for a short time (0.2s) and comes back again. Is that normal (like it gets new informations about the battery status) or is that a bug?
Edit: When i unlock the phone directly with fingerprint, the ring need a short time (0.2s) to appear.

It's normal as one other user pointed out.
The reason for it is well, Energy Ring completely sleeps that includes vanishing from the screen, the only thing active would be screen on/off listener. So when it gets ON, it almost reconfigure everything, it was kind of required during initial development of its parent App - Energy Bar.
I think I can get it to stay as it is without any adverse effect, expect it to be smoother in future updates.

Hello thanks for your work, but on my OP Nord is not working i dont know why, when i unlock the screen the screen shows but nothing more.

Regarding the issue, you mean, you were able to configure and see Energy Ring, but when you lock and unlock the phone it vanishes? It doesn't appear on the Lockscreen or it doesn't appear anywhere at all after you lock and unlock?

Just couldn't find the app. Cleared the play store data and all but it just isn't showing up & also checked all the apps by the Dev i.e; @jagan2 but the one you mentioned isn't on play store.

Hi! What happens when you directly click the link in the first post? That should certainly take you to the App's listing on Play Store?

This can be also work for notch if u include v shape n u shape noutch with x n y potions with size control.
Please include this.

There's a slight bug if face unlock is enabled
The ring is hidden with a tiny streak visible
Then it works properly when the face scan completes or fails to find a face

The app stops working after the battery saver is turned on. When I tried to turn it on, it took me to the accessibility settings where it was already on.

Stopped Working after some time
Initially it started but when I fully charged the phone it stopped and when I try to enable it, it takes me to accessibility services where it is already ON.
Please sort this out as I was loving it.

Works fine for me, thanks.

Working great! Any ideas how to disable the persistent Android-System notification, that "warns" me that energy ring is displayed above other apps on my OnePlus Nord?

Couldn't get this working until I went into Accessibility settings and enabled it -- working fine now!

This is honestly really great. I like the ease of use and customisation options. I hope it doesn't drain too much and I'll get back on that.

Looks interesting. I've downloaded the apk from your post, but it doesn't allow me purchase. Is that because it hasn't shown in the Google Play Store yet?
Thank you. BTW, I'd send you pictures of a Note 10+ (not 5g) if you'd like. I'm sure it isn't different visually from the 5g version.
This looks great. My concern is burn in. Will we have any issues with that?
Edit: used the one you attached to the post, gonna get the one off the playstore and unlock once you've gotten back to me about burn in.
Awesome app buddy! You have skills. I sent an email with pics cause I don't know how to pm pictures. Thanks for your efforts!
Works great, except it does not show on AOD screen.
Works like a charm. Love it but also have a slight concern on screen burn in. Are you able to make it pulse or have another rotating color in it?
Just downloaded. Link took me to play store. Yes I agree blinking or rotating would be nice to avoid burn in.

Yes! Download the app Good Lock from the Samsung store and then use Quickstar in the app. Good luck

Thanks for the added support for One Action / Vision. I appreciate it
Good afternoon,
First of all thank the app.
A question, I use an application to detect and stop trackers, and if I stop them for this app, it stops.
What trackers do you use and what do you need them for?

Goodnight,
The big problem is privacy:
Trackers
Some of the items are old, but here is information:
Three quarters of Android apps track users with third party tools – study
These Android apps have been tracking you, even when you say stop
Three out of four apps use a hidden tracker, according to a Yale study

Energy Ring doesn't employ any such tracker, it has a single slot Ad while you open the Settings. Other than that, it has no third-party tracker whatsoever. However, whatever tool/App you use to detect 'tracker' it may have highlighted Energy Ring because it is an 'Accessibility Service', by virtue of its nature it can read info just like any other Accessibility Service based App on your device, but, it does not read anything whatsoever. Please read the description in the first post.
Energy Ring can't work without being deployed as an Accessibility Service, I hope that clarifies things.

This developer did a great work, moreover he did it alone. He has to get something for the energy he spent .
There is one ad banner that's it, but ads were irrelevant for me, means no tracking.
Even if you think app is tracking, it doesn't track like google does every second .

A great utility ,Thanks :good::good:. For adding One Vision.
Make this a small analog watch around the camera with same such customizations and i will pay for it. Btw great app thanks.
Wow.
Why does the app eat around 280MB RAM ??!!
Badly optimized application?
How do I disable the battery tray icon in MOV?
thx!!!!!!!!

Hi thanks for this application, it is working in my 6t perfectly, I don't care about battery usage of this app, because my mobile is already 2 years old so I seriously don't care, any way I will donate a small amount, I really like to donate galaxy large but my situation is not allowing me now but in near future I will:victory:

When I installed and, enabled. I saw a battery bar that was in the status bar area. Looking in the settings I saw that you could move the bar to the top of the status bar or under the icons on the status bar. Does anyone know how to get the battery bar to outline the notch only on the 6t like it is in the picture in the post?
Hi @jagan2! Thank you very much for sharing your creation with us. I've - naturally - dropped a 5-star rating on the Play Store. Probably the best implementation I've seen so far.
I noticed that when selecting gradient, it tells me this is a "trial" feature but I don't seem to be able to trial this. It reverts back to segments when exiting the configuration so I'm guessing it's unfortunately named "trial feature" while it should be "donation feature" or similar.
The settings are very intuitive and stick with the KISS principle. I think you deserve a more slick app icon to match this.
Any chance of getting this on the 7T?

@jagan2 thanks for this awesome release
Can anything be done for the OnePlus 6t users here, who encounter the 'device not supported' play store issue?

Just go straight to Accessibility after downloading and enable it there.
Just loaded it on my 6t for a test run .. works fine and easy implementation... stock rom and kernel... but rooted ... nice work..

Adds a configurable Energy Notch around the camera notch indicating current Battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only you can quickly glance and get the battery info but, Energy Notch adds an accent to your phone's camera notch.
Got a full charge? The Notch will be wrapping the entire curve of your notch like an arc.
Battery depleting? So will the arc of Energy Notch.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy Notch can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring
✓ Energy Notch puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
✓ Energy Notch direction can be configured as left/center/right
✓ Energy Notch can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Notch can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Notch could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Notch has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Notch consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Notch more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Notch sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Notch. Once awake, Energy Notch quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Notch goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Notch to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.

Hey! I really want to try this, but it's saying my 7T is not compatible. Do you think it's cause I'm on a custom rom maybe?
Thanks in advance!
Working fine on stock OOS
Can we get reverse linear for charging? Going left to right.
EDIT.. DBL Post..,sorry:crying::crying:
Sorry for Dbl post..
Looks great!! Great job OP!!
Well done and great Idea!!
Sent from my OnePlus 7T using XDA Labs
I'm really excited about your app.
Would it be possible to include a notification function?
Just WOWWWW
fantastic app!! works like a charm! thank you!
Very good job. Regards
Great app, I like it very much, congratulations @jagan2
I'd like to report a little bug I've found.
In my OnePlus 7T (Android 10) the "Gradient" option in Color Configuration is not working properly. After a full charge, the bar colours gets reversed: if I set the colours green (to the left) and red (to the right), it shows a green-to-red bar (from left to right), instead the proper red-to-green bar, regardless of the option chosen in Notch Direction, "Left" or "Right" ("Center" option seems to be working properly with this). And for example, if I try "Merged Segments", it works properly, showing a red-green bar (from left to right), and if I change the Notch Direction to "Right", it shows a green-red bar, that is ok. So the problem seems to be only in the Gradient option. Nevertheless, after a while, the bar gets in the righ direction again, and the problem is solved by itself (don't know how or why).
Maybe you can check it to find the problem and fix it in a future update.
Thank you again
EDIT: I think I've found the reason: the colour bar is inverted (using the "Gradient" option) only when the battery is 100%. When it decreases to 99% and below, the colour bar is ok. I dit the following test: I fully charged my OnePlus 7T and at 100% the colour bar was inverted; I started to use the phone, and after a few minutes, just when the battery level dropped from 100% to 99%, the colour bar got OK again. So it seems to be a problem with the "Gradient" option at the 100% level of battery, cause it shows inverted colours in the bar; but below 100%, the bar is OK and shows the colours properly. This issue at 100% battery level is not present when using "Merged Segments".
Installed it and it says my phone is not supported....
Weird...
Ahh.. It needs internet access...
Why is that?

If I remove all data, disable wifi/internet for the app and start it, it says 7t is not supported when i want to enable it.
Only after turning internet on i can enable it...
Looks amazing! Using it as we speak. The only thing I dont like and is a bit counterintuitive is the customization of the segments. Adding and removing is not logical and changing the color all the time doesnt really feel great. Maybe a simpler system?
Looks very good, using it currently

Installed it on my 7T (OOS 10.0.0.11) and worked (after giving it access to internet through AFWall. @jagan2 Why does it need internet access??).
After recent update of OOS it doesn't work anymore.
After giving it access to internet once again it says my phone isn't supported.... (It says the same on previous rom version when it had no internet access).

Looks awesome!
Installed it, loved the way it looks, and made a little donation to for the ad free. Good Job!

Since the inner screen's camera is designed to be invisible, have purposefully ignored it. Energy Ring will appear only on the outer screen's cut out.
I prefer if "Universal Edition" also have the features of your Energy bar app so we can have the bar for the Z Fold inner screen and ring for outer.
Working perfectly, thanks
Also can't you give us the choice whether we want it to show on inside screen or not. That would be great

That would be some customized feature for Z Fold 3, may consider it in future.
BTW, the 'Universal Edition' is essentially combines all several versions of Energy 'Ring' App made for specific phones into one.
Works great thank you
HUGE HUGE FAN of this app, I have been using it since I first found it and LOVE IT, I cannot wait to get it on my ZF3 when it arrived. I have it on my Note 20 Ultra and LOVE IT! Thanks!

Do you see any error? Like unsupported device or something?
No. Am I wrong in thinking it's supposed to work on inner screen?

Yes, the App isn't supposed to work on inner screen because well, the device is designed to make the inner screen cutout invisible.
Oh. Nevermind.
Update: Fixed the issue of System turning off Accessibility Service of Energy Ring frequently, it was a Android System Level bug, a workaround has been deployed successfully, let me know if Energy Ring is stable again for you! P.S. I am flooded with emails and messages, apologies if I couldn't reply all!
Would love an option to add the ring to the inner screen when opened up
Edit: nevermind read other posts
Wrong forum, sorry... delete...
Can you add support for Galaxy Z Fold 4? Thanks.
Update: Energy Ring works fine on my Z Fold 4 so far with the help of Tasker while waiting for the official update.
