How to get rid of the green "new gesture navigation" dot in the nav bar? - Motorola One Action Questions & Answers

It's really annoying and won't go away.
Sent from my motorola one action using Tapatalk

Okay, it just went away on its own after days of pressing "show me how" and the tutorial not showing up, then green dot popping back up. I did nothing to change it, it just went away.

Same problem here. Hope it goes away soon.

It's a bug, there's nothing you can do. Motorola is aware of it from what I've seen on the official motorola leveno forum but I don't know if they will release a fix or not

To those still going through this nonsense, I saw the green dot start as soon as I upgraded to Android 10 and go away on the 3rd day. Just keep dismissing the message and eventually it disappears. Searched for hours and could not find a solution that does not involve downloading additional apps. Hope this helps.

Stuck/dead pixel in notifications bar

As of a month or two ago, a bright green stuck/dead pixel has been lingering on the left side of the notifications bar. I am rooted and would like to avoid going to the store to get it fixed. Aynyone know of any quick fixes for it? Appreciate the help.
I don't think you can fix that but I may be wrong

The only way to get it fixed is to get a new phone. There is no way to bring dead pixels "back to life." Back up with titanium backup and unroot and reset user data and go to the verizon store
Is it a dead pixel or a stuck pixel. If it stays black, then all three sub pixels in it would be inactive. But if it has color to it, in your case green, you might be able to correct it.
Either gently rubbing the screen or rapidly flashing random colors on your screen (there's got to be an app for this) might pop it.
Yeah I looked into a couple of apps that did that in the Market. The only issue was the colors they were flashing weren't extending over the area that the notifications bar covers.
Perhaps put a request in the android development and hack / apps and games section for a full screen app to do this?
I actually found two apps that claim to fix issues such as the green stuck pixel that I have and they work in full screen mode. Ill try them out tonight and report back. Thanks for all the help.

Home keys dissapear?

Not sure if this has been brought up or not yet, but im curious to see if anyone is running into a similar issue, and what they did to solve it ...
Randomly, its only happened to me 3 times thus far, my back, home, and windows key do not show up. Everything else works, i just cant close out of apps or anything like that.
Any suggestions, ultimately I just power cycle, however if someone has an easier fix Id like to use that.
Sometimes they minimize to little glowing dots and just click them to open them up. Sorry if that's not it.

My completely vanish from time to time and what ever app im in goes full screen. That is followed by a pop-up stating the the System UI has stopped.. I just keep clicking on OK and then after a few mins it goes away.

[Q] My status bar stopped working - HTC ONE X

For some unknows reason my status bar stopped working.
All updates or mail notifications shows up - but it's inactivated
so when I touch it nothing happens.
Untouchable - a bit more transparent than normal.
Really annoying ...
Same thing just happened to me. I started a new thread before I saw yours. I can't figure it out. Did you try a factory reset?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Haven't tried yet - spent so much time with installing and transferring.
Maybe it's the only ...
I tried a factory reset....still not working. Can't find a lot of other people with this. But I am sure that it is just a software issue. Let me know if you find a solution..I will do the same.
are you guys rooted? if so try reflashing the rom
I'm not rooted. Not sure how..but it might come to it. I am sure that this is a software problem and if I might have to wait till HTC sends there next update. This is the only problem I am having and I purchased it at a local shop where I live so I can always exchange it but th there seems to be a lot of problems out there and if I "roll the dice" I could get worse. It's really annoying but I can survive for a couple of weeks.

Landscape mode
I'm not rooted either.
Found out that my bar works in landscape mode.
feels like the phone is working even if it gets hot from time to time
and loosing signal (need restart then)
Someone has a clue about this bar problem? Reason?
Great find. Does the settings when your in the camera app work? Mine does not. It's like the top 1/2 inch of the phone won't register any touch. I am starting to think that it might be a hardware problem.
I agree
The top section register no touch
I agree - but don't know what to do.
HTC support?
Give this a try.. Apps > Settings > Display > G-Sensor calibration > Follow the on screen instructions. Then attempt to swipe down to access your notification bar.
I contacted supportand this is what they told me but it was too late and I already dropped by my local shop and exchanged it for a new one.
Let me know if this works. I would like to know just in case it happens again.
I hope it will be that easy for you. I spent so much time trying to figure this out last night and I don't think that I tried this.

Didn't work
The calibration didn't work.
Will speak to my company on Monday and have a new one.
Wish you good luck with your new.

yes. same here.... did anyone try flashing a new rom to get it to work? i have tried some but still failed....
also I noticed that sometimes the screen just froze, i wonder if theres anything to do with it.....
flash other roms and restoring back to stock didnt work... sigh all this happened after 3 weeks of usage.... i am kinda disappointed.. dont want to switch to S3 but I guess I will now....
some found how to fix this problem ??? i have this also right now
Same issue here. It is definitely a problem with the sensor at the top of the screen. I am rooted and installed Landscape Rosie (allows you to rotate sense in the landscape direction) and the notification bar works just fine in landscape but not in portrait. I am on the phone with AT&T as I write this. My phone is about 2 weeks old.

It might not be relevant, but this sub forum is for the Tegra3 version.
this is the same problem of the same tech, but the problem is there are no way to fix this problom
I got hit by this problem this weekend. I am quite surprised. Mine is one of the first few HOX's and there has been absolutely no problem with the phone.
In my status bar, I had the GSam Battery monitor, Bonny Box, swipe pad and the Easy battery saver. The problems started when I installed Bonny box and it constantly moved up and down, inside the status bar....sorta kept flickering everytime I pulled down the bar. I uninstalled bonny box since I didnt really need it. Things didnt really improve...the flickering continued.
Then I installed Notification Toggle late last week and then this problem hit me. Had about 5 shortcuts in the status bar. The status bar just would not respond until I restarted the phone. So I removed the battery monitor and saver from the status bar. Problem persisted. I removed the notifications from the bar and restarted and no problems then. I ran it like that for a day and then put back only the notifications into the status bar and havent had any problems yet.
I am going to put the Battery monitor and saver back tonite and lets see then what happens...
I am not rooted and everything is stock. India version. Hope it helps. Let me know if any more information from my end helps.

how do i remove notificatios
Hi All,
My self Rupesh A i am also facing same issue "unable to drag notification bar" .. we have lots of third party tools why can't installed one of them in our HTC M7. I have installed "Open notification Bar" and i place this app Widget on my home screen .. when i click the app automatically my notification bar will drag down. So simple why we need to reset and all other stuff ..

Loading appears

Anyone else witness this when backing out of an app pretty quick, it's happened a few times when I quickly press the back button, I also seen when backing out browser I had some sort of green static in top left corner, only happened the once that like, are these faults common or is it worth enquiring about a replacement as I love the phone and not interested in an exchange for another... Only had it a week!!
Thanks
EDIT: Its also just happened but this time i was watching football, and the browser closed without my consent and the loading appeard.....

Check under Settings-Developer options-Don't keep activities.
If i have that option ticked i get the Loading icon, if unticked i don't get it.
Hope this helps.

YouTube App on screen buttons and notification bar

Its been a common problem ever since I have used the n5 and all other devices that use on screen nav bars sometimes the navigation buttons get stuck on the screen wile watching a video but is this a common problem with everyone or just me? I find it super annoying and I am wondering if it's a OS problem or just the YouTube App and is it something that can be fixed?

I have the same problem too. It seems like it happens every time after a "click on this for more" pop-up appears.
Was just about to ask this! It seems to be random too, I clicked on a different video and it was fine, but then it comes back sooner or later.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Ive found that if you click on the little "i" icon you can get a popup bar that you can dismiss. When i dismiss it the bars go back to normal. Works most of the time for me.
I've noticed it as well. Sometimes they disappear as they're supposed, other times they stay until the next video if I'm lucky.
