LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Thanks for the ROM!

Thanks for this ROM. Finally someone decided to work on Joyeuse LineageOS.
Is it possible to use signature spoofing on this ROM? (MicroG)

Wow. Thanks.

Great work ! Thanks ! It runs perfectly and I enjoy it

Did you sign the build with your own keys or with the public LineageOS keys the come by default?
As in, does LineageOS Trust complain about the keys used for signing?

Can't erase any of the partitions. What to do?
Code:
[Unixsystem ~]$ fastboot erase system
Erasing 'system' FAILED (remote: 'Check device console.')
fastboot: error: Command failed

Thank you very much! It worked.
I installed MIUI V11.0.5 before. At flashing LineageOS (ADB sideload inside LOS recovery) it said "patching firmware images". Did it overwrite the firmware then?
How should I root this LineageOS ROM? Same way as https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../how-to-unlock-root-redmi-9-9s-9-pro-t4108913 and extract boot.img from V11.0.5 vendor image?

This doesnt work on Curtana, does it?

@SebaUbuntu : thank you so much!!! Great work!
@heyadmwutanime : take the boot image from the lineageOS zip and then use the Magisk manager app to create a patched version. goto fastboot and flash patched boot image.
Playing with cams: anx(cannot get portrait to work) gcam versions(different lenses do not work well) Gonna try all over again tomorrow.

Did you install OpenGapps or MicroG to use GCam? I tried sideloading nanodroid zip (including MicroG and patch spoofing) but no recovery (LineageOS recovery or PBRP) is able to do it. Why the heck isn't there a good TWRP recovery yet? :crying:
edit: Sideloading in PBRP isn't possible. Only possible to install zip from internal storage or MicroSD. Bad thing LineageOS boot animation is running forever. :crying: Then how would you even flash OpenGapps?

installed opengapps with the recovery provided. Its the lineage recovery and works.
You can only sideload with this recovery. Make sure you have the latest adb tools.
I had problems with sideloading before, and found out that the adb exec was not the latest version (although the "install" tool was the latest version)
Anx camera is being installed as Magisk module. Or gcam versions were installed as apk and an xml file.
About pbrp, I saw there is a 3.0.0 version available on telegram : joyeuse discussion group.
I have not tried this on yet, still
I also note that some errors (cannot mount system/product/ ...) can be resolved to first unmount those partitions in twrp/pbrp before flashing the file.
If boot anim is running forever, goto recovery and erase cache/data, then reboot.

Did you install the ANXCustlibs addon from the website? That's needed for portrait mode. This one should be the right version:

For me working variant is:
ANXCameraUnity_185.SaltyIntelligentPlainsqueaker.zip
48MPFixQ_181.GlossyIntelligentCock.zip
Ultra pixel works, camera works, but Portrait mode doesn't work.
Additionally infrared doesn't work.

Auto brightness is too high on daylight. Could you please lower it overall and also bring it to 0% when it's completely dark?

I don't use custom keys to sign the build
Yes Trust will complain, but you can ignore the warnings

I used the 48MPFixQ_170.SophisticatedFatBetafish.zip addon and that one contains CustLibs already it seems.
Tried installing the latest customlibs after uninstalling the 48mpxfix, but that made portrait and 64mpx function not working.
Thanks for the suggestion anyways! it was worth a try. :good:

lineage-os 9 rebooting into twrp recovery
ok, i might be the only one in this situation: i was running pie pr1 by @SagarMakhar. i installed the latest twrp v3.2.3-0 by @SagarMakhar, rebooted into recovery and made a full backup.
then, having read about flashing vendor.img, proceeded to wipe cache, dalvik-cache, data, system and vendor partitions. flashed the rom zip and vendor.img from pr1, wiped cache & dalvik-cache and rebooted. but, the device kept rebooting into twrp recovery immediately after reaching the home/lockscreen.
so, i wiped cache, dalvik-cache, data, system and vendor partitions and this time flashed only the rom zip and rebooted, but the device stayed at the bootanimation stage. although i badly wanted to run lineage-os 9 on x00td, i had to restore my nandroid backup (which went fine on the twrp v3.2.3-0 by @SagarMakhar) to make the device usable.
hope i get tips here to resolve the above issues and run lineage-os 9 on x00td. thanks in advance to SagarMakhar and others.

I too faced the same issue with TWRP. The workaround that worked for me is that when you have flashed the zips after wipe, dont reboot using the menu given in TWRP. Just press the power button until it reboots.
UPDATE 20180817
Changelogs :
- fixed Music Player crash
- Fixed case where device reboots to recovery after flashing custom zips ( disabled rescue party )

Great work.
Irrelevant reply, mostly due to error in OP thread;
In the first paragraph of the About it says this LineageOS is for Android Oreo (8.0) while at the bottom it is claimed for Android Pie (9.0)
Will be installing soon for better feedback, but just thought you'd like to be aware of that.
Also, would this include the Security Patch of the most recent official release or is that something not to concern myself over with LineageOS releases?

Does this work for the Amazon variant of the Moto g7?
Hi, I apologize if this isn't the best place to post this, but I get an error when following installation instructions. While flashing stock firmware to slot A, I run the command `fastboot flash partition gpt.bin` and get the following output:
Code:
fastboot: core/libsparse/sparse.cpp:131: int write_all_blocks(struct sparse_file *, struct output_file *): Assertion `pad >= 0' failed.
zsh: abort (core dumped) fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
I tried googling for the error, but wasn't able to come up with a clear idea of what to do to fix it. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks a lot.

I'm using the latest Android platform tools on Linux. I should have included this in my first message, but this is a Project Fi phone. I tried both builds in the Fi folder of the lolinet link in the OP, and both had the same problem. The model numbers on these do match my phone. (XT1962-1) I'm really struggling to find an explanation for my error message anywhere online.

Thats not a guarantee its all the work he has done. He may still be pulling from multiple gits in a script. I would much rather talk to the op and check before trying to jump through loops that could easily be there.
EDIT: I sound like a **** there, I dont mean to be. I am just not great at this stuff so it may be nice to get a little help.

I tried to root through Magisk and superSu, and in both processes, apparently, the installation (flash) occurs normally - without erros.
In the case of superSu (v.2.82), after reboot system, I installed a root checker and verified that root was not installed properly. I also tried to install other versions (v2.7. and v.2.79).
In the case of Magisk (v20.2), my attempt was worse. After the reboot system, a screen appeared with the following information: "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly. Visit this link on another device - g.co/ABH"
So I had to install LineageOs all over again.
Any more suggestions ???

I get this error on mokee with magisk and signed boot... (If I don't sign the boot it completely doesn't boot) but one press on power button as mentioned after the warning perfectly boots mokee...
What currently is the best rom! Mokee? Or los16?
I've noticed rhat lately mokee9 isn't nightly anymore, but 'released' and they are now pushing mokee10 as nightly builds... Have they progressed enough to use as daily driver now?
The rom is so good!
Thank you.

I used nikgapps but others should also work fine though I cant be sure about that. And any version is supported. It doesn't have to be specifically pico or micro or anything.

The file META-INF/com/android/metadata contains pre-device=OnePlusNord but other ROMs use pre-device=avicii
Edit1: Installed it with adb sideload in LOS recovery.
Another question: Is it necessary to use the script to change the release/debug-keys if I previously used LOS from the other thread?
In the file META-INF/com/android/metadata of this LOS is post-build=OnePlus/OnePlusNord/OnePlusNord:10/QQQ3A.200805.001/257:userdebug/dev-keys but in the same file of the other LOS is post-build=google/coral/coral:10/QQQ3A.200805.001/6578210:user/release-keys
Edit2: Key does not need to be changed.

As with many custom ROMs, the fingerprint sensor works poorly or not at all when nightlight is activated. The lower the intensity, the worse. With the default intensity definitely bad.
How do I fix this?

You can't CTS is not supposed to pass once bootloader is unlocked. On other roms I have used *hacks* to fix this but I will not use them on LineageOS.

I can confirm this problem on my/our 2 different Nord (European Model).
If the intensity slider of the night light is on the far right, it works quite well, but it doesn't work if it is in the middle (default) or left.
I also read a news report a few weeks ago, it was probably in the XDA News Portal (www.xda-developers.com), that many phones with in-display fingerprint sensor have problems with reading the fingerprint when a custom ROM is installed and the night light is on.
I cannot find the article at the moment, but I will search for it.
Nobody else has problems with fingerprint reader and night light ?

Coming from LineageOS 19.1:
Orangefox doesn't decrypt data partition, so unable to format. Had to use TWRP to format for clean install.
So, formatted and flashed with TWRP - keyboard doesn't work
Tried adb flash on TWRP, same!
I was only able to make it work via OrangeFox after wiping everything in TWRP, return to OrangeFox and flash via ADB from there.
Since, most things work out of the box, but randomly flickering screen.
Any suggestions?

We release the build after testing 1 week as daily driver for our device and we didn't encounter any of these problem. If you really believe that it's a build issue. Then mention with proper logcat.
adb logcat -v time -d > logcat.log (if you're on windows platform)
adb logcat &> logcat.log (for Unix platforms)

fortunately it went away by itself after a couple of reboots. now I've discovered that I have wired headphone issues, just like on LineageOS. The sound worked perfectly for abou 10s when a popup about TTY showed. since then, just a popping sound but that's all I hear on it
Face unlock calls the rear camera, and the front camera cannot be switched
Thanks to the developers for bringing EvolutionX to this device. But there are two bugs I find. The flashlights switch is not working as it said the camera is using it when there even no camera app working in the background. On top of that, Both front and rear cameras are incorrectly used when using third-party apps. This bothers me a lot. All in all, You guys have brought new life to this old model and I am very grateful. I'm looking forward to the next release to fix these issues.
