I know, I am working on it for the next update. It is a low priority issue to me, though. So please don't expect a specific hotfix release.

BUG: SIM Disabling
Stock Base: v11.0.9.0
Kernel: Loki v4.9.230
Bug: Unable to disable SIM 2.

A ROM with multiple functions for lineage.
This is what I was looking for.
Thanks opal06!

I'm sorry, but there is a reason why the ROM comes with the kernel it does. Custom kernels can be flashed at will, but functionality is not guaranteed and bugs won't be fixed.

Thank you for the heads up opal06, I am still new to this modding scene and my understanding of how the different components interact with each other is limited; however, I have re-flashed crDroid without using a custom kernel and am still experiencing the issue and can therefore confirm that the bug is present in the "unedited" version of crDroid.
I will try to put a paste-bin logcat for reference.
I will update this specific post with bug details as I keep on testing and using the ROM.
Bug #1:
Issue: SIM Disabling not working.
Workaround: Remove the SIM.
Build Number Tested With: CrDroid - August 15, 2020
Stock Base: v11.0.9.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open Settings
Open network and Internet
Open SIM 2 or SIM 1
Press on button for "Use SIM"
Logcat: Link
Bug #2:
Issue: Green Pixels/Green Overlay in Stock Camera App.
Workaround: Use a third party app.
Build Number Tested With: CrDroid - August 15, 2020
Stock Base: v11.0.9.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open Camera/Snap
Take a picture.
View photo in Gallery App.
Logcat: Unable to provide as of now due to uninstalling the camera app.
Bug #3:
Issue: Microphone not working properly when using speakers in a call. (Tested with Signal only as of now.)
Workaround: Use earphones or don't use speakers for call.
Build Number Tested With: CrDroid - August 15, 2020
Stock Base: v11.0.9.0
Steps to reproduce:
Initiate a call.
Turn on speaker.
Ask if the recepient can hear you properly or not.
Logcat: WIP
Bug #4:
Issue: Inconsistent contacts display, some duplicates of the contact are shown.
Details: For example Contact 1, has details xyz.
Contact app shows Contact 1 as Contact 1 and Contact 2
Contact 1 contains details xy
Contact 2 contains details z.
Some contacts do however display properly.
Contacts are synced via NextCloud for reference.
Workaround: Use third-party app as of now.
Build Number Tested With: CrDroid - August 15, 2020
Stock Base: v11.0.9.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open Contacts App
Logcat: WIP
Bug #5:
Issue: OTA not installing update.
Details:
OTA/Updater downloads new builds/updates properly.
OTA/Updater is unable to install new builds/updates.
No notification of any type shows up after pressing on Install and clicking "OK" in the next pop-up.
Workaround: Dirty Flash newest build.
Build Number Tested With: CrDroid - August 10, 2020
Stock Base: v11.0.9.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open Settings
Open crDroid Settings
Navigate to "About crDroid"
Press on Updates
Press the Refresh Button
Download Update
Install Update
Press "OK" / "Install" on popup.
Wait for nothing to happen.
Logcat: WIP

New release is out. Main change is a rebase of the device and vendor tree. This fixes the charging LED and a few other bugs like blurrz rendering in some apps. For additional changes to refer to the changelog in OP. OTA might be broken though, feedback is very much appreciated.

Latest release, BT headphones: when receiving a call the notification takes a long time to show at the top of the screen and an even longer time to switch to phone after tapping the green button. That is, if the screen is on, if it is off, the only notification is the vibration. Also no ring tone with BT headphones.
All else so far is great.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
What's working :

RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Camera
Video Recording
Video Playback
Audio
GPS
Flash
Led
Sensors
What's not working :
SELinux is permissive
VoLTE Not Working
Instructions :
Download the latest build and gapps
Reboot to recovery
Flash the latest build and gapps
Reboot
Downloads :
Builds : https://sourceforge.net/projects/zf2l/files/LineageOS/
Root addon : https://download.lineageos.org/extras

Reporting Bugs
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

I left my phone overnight and the lag seems mostly gone now.
Do note that I left it to charge overnight, and iirc since Oreo, if the device is fully charged, it begins optimizing the dex files to produce oat files which perform better. Now I am a bit rusty regarding Android ART internals so I may be wrong.
Either way, it's a night and day difference and my phone is much smoother now. (PS: I am also using firekernel, but I flashed that yesterday with the ROM)
---------- Post added at 08:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:06 AM ----------
Anyone else having issues flashing Magisk? More specifically, does TWRP (3.2.3) crash while flashing Magisk?
Do note that I use firekernel, so this is in no way a bug report or complaint to our awesome dev. I'm just asking if anyone else is having issues.
PS: I don't mind making a bug report on the stock kernel if someone else also has this issue on stock.

Guys don't flash FireKernel... this rom has FireKernel By Default with latest patches... && as of now It's recommended to use stock kernel or don't report issues

Just managed to install Magisk 17.1, I removed the boot image from the LOS16 ROM zip, and then I just patched it in the Magisk Manager app, modules and root are working fine by the looks of it.

Thanks for the ROM, it's awesome that someone is compiling this!
Would you be able to reupload the previous release? The current Mega link is corrupt (file is about 100MB too small) and I'm experiencing the same wifi issue that's being reported in the mainline herolte 15.1 thread.
@Critique I had no time to test your last two builds (X-mas stress), but I already downloaded them and I can confirm that the 20181208 build is approx.. 100 MB too small.

hello,
First of all I want to say thank you because I am trying to ungooglize me and it is not so easy.
I am really surprised thant in xda there are so few people in that idea.
So thank you to critique to deliver us a rom "all in one and ready to use" without the beast.
Last night I tried to dirty flash the new release (build 04/01/2019) and it bloqued the phone on the screen "Samsung".
Hopefully I managed to come back to the TWRP and to flash the old release (Built 14/12/2018) (without the wifi?)
My question is: Did somebody manage to install the new release ? and
- If yes does he knows why I did not manage to...?
- If no,
What is the last build working fine (and with wifi)?
Critique could you rebuild your new release please?
Thanks, B.

Installed the new build today. Same behavior for me. Phone doesn't boot anymore and stuck on Samsung Galaxy S7 Bootscreen.
---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:18 PM ----------
For people who don't know.
When S7 gets stuck in bootscreen, press for approx. 10 sec Volume down + the power button until the screen gets black. Then Change immediately to volume up + power button + home to get in Recovery.

You'll need the TWRP unofficial by @mauronofrio due encryption. It'll may be needed to flash DM-Verity if you're not encrypted. Build is going to be up soon
So Fast. Thanks a lot.
Btw I guess we can't downgrade to Pie if we flash this version. Am I Correct?

I had to downgrade to Pie after because of the September pie updates. Just switched to the Official TWRP because of the changes made to TWRP to work with Android 10 encryption.

Mi 8 has ARB permissive, so don't worry about that.
So I shouldn't even try this ROM with official twrp? Only recommended one?

Installed and runs fine for now!! Google pay doesn’t wokr out of the box and bluetooth crashed repeatedly on my phone until I rebooted.. will further investigate
Fast and great work!
Several issues to report:
1) There is one or more app keeping on start automatically and error exit, a system dialog pops up briefly and disappear quickly. It may interrupt the other app. Any where to manage the auto start apps?
2) After first time bootup, swap close the apps won't work. After reboot, it works.
This is the finding so far.
Environment: Dipper dirty flash from Pie Plus 14/9 version, and also DM-Verity ZIP.
---------- Post added at 11:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:14 PM ----------
Further issue discovered:
First call in to mobile: incoming call appear several times then disappear, vibrate works, and recent call history is empty.
Second call into mobile: no incoming call appear, vibrate works, and recent call history is empty.
Series issues now: Can't make outgoing call.
Grabbed a phone number from website, click it, it goes of phone UI with the correct number, press phone icon to dial, no outgoing call made...

you need to flash kernel which already patched with su. however it will grant root access to all app and no manager so you can't hide it

This is Candy ten for the Moto G7. Built straight from source with commits from a variety of different Sources/ROMS. We wanted to give the users a fun, fully customisable ROM, with regular updates and security patches.
We do this as a hobby, and we happily share the Candy of our toils with the custom ROM community, for free. We use what we share on our own devices, most as Daily Drivers, so you can be confident that problems will be promptly addressed.
Thanks for your support and camaraderie. Special thanks to GZOSP, GZR-ROMs, LineageOS, SlimRoms, OmniROM, AOSiP, DU and the innumerable rest who make their source open. We can't do all of this on our own!
Donations are appreciated, but NEVER expected.
Stay tuned for more Candy!

* See Post #2 for Downloads
* See Post #3 for FAQ/Known issues
Note:
If you are coming from stock you need to flash copy_partitions.zip just after flashing twrp, else you might face a hard brick.
Do not wipe or format data in TWRP, use fastboot -w instead after flashing the ROM, as mentioned below.
1. If you're coming from another ROM:
Official TWRP is recommended.
Boot into TWRP
Flash ROM (link in 2nd post)
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot to Recovery
Flash OpenGApps
Flash the latest stable Magisk
No 3rd party mods are supported. (Like Xposed Framework or shady Magisk Modules)
Reboot to bootloader
Perform a factory reset using:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot to system
2. If you're updating the ROM:
Reboot to recovery
Flash Substratum rescue zip if you have a theme applied
Flash ROM
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot to recovery
Flash OpenGApps
Flash Magisk
Reboot to bootloader
Perform a factory reset using:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot to system
NOTE:
If you have issues with Settings or Play Services force-closes you need to clean flash.
Please give first boot several minutes.
New additions and fixes being added constantly
If you have any other issue, please let us know in proper bug reporting fashion as indicated below.
Do NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed other shady mods.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0.

Initial build
I've never heard of CandyROM before and am currently running lineageOS 16 so I'm curious as to what the differences are in terms of customization and general feel of the interface.
Also does candy ten mean this is an android 10 build or is it just the versioning?
Wanna try it out regardless but I'm hoping these questions get answered before I get a chance to ?

Just checked the telegram channel. It is indeed android 10. Happy to finally be able to move on from pie!
EDIT: I suppose I could just read the full post and see that it says android 10, but that'd be too easy...
So far the only bug I encountered it's some choppiness on the animations especially on the recents menu going in and out of some applications, but this happens every time with a new version of Android regarding custom roms, I remember the same thing happening with oreo and pie, aosp or one ui, it's a little bit annoying but totally forgivable since everything else is fine as hell, thank you very much my dude, awesome job.

Hi, everyone. Tried to install Candy from stock ROM. After theese steps my phone has bricked. No reaction on buttons, when linked to PC by cable it looks like "qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008" in the device Manager.
What was my mistake?

You weren't mistaken, as you followed the instructions the OP provided. The same happened to me and after digging a bit I found out that when you're coming from stock you have to flash a file called "Copy Partitions Zip" before trying to install any custom roms. I know this can easily be our fault but at least he should've written clear and COMPLETE instructions.
I'm going to try unbricking the phone, I'll let you know if I come to any useful conclusion. Thanks OP.
OP thanks for making an Android 10 for the G7! Rom appears to be quite smooth and rung great. However, half my apps (even current up to date versions) seem to crash on it. Cant find a Gcam build that will run on it. That makes it unusable for me at the moment. Totally clean flash per directions with stock (Fi) kernel. Am I doing something wrong?
Great work on the rom! Doesn't even lag ,haven't faced any issues till now or encountered any bugs. I wish I could use Smart Reply anyway . Everything works just great

In case you guys are having difficulty flashing candy rom on G7,follow the instructions below, that's how I install custom roms
Just backup or move everything to your PC,sync photos and contacts.
Here we are supposed to wipe internal storage in order to clean flash the rom.
+Boot into twrp,Format user data > yes
+Boot into twrp,wipe Data,Internal Storage,System,Dalvik/ART cache.
+Boot into twrp,flash copypartitions.zip
+Boot into twrp,flash candyrom.
+Now,from twrp,Boot into bootloader
+Boot into twrp,flash ARM64 10.0 Nano Gapps.
+Wipe Dalvik cache after flashing Gapps, powerOFF.
+Boot into System.
Incase if you want to permanently install TWRP on Candy rom and Root.
+Enable USB Debugging
+run command : adb reboot bootloader
+Boot into twrp,flash copypartitions.zip
+Flash twrpinstaller.
+Now,from twrp,Boot into recovery.
+Flash magisk.
+Reboot or manually powerOFF+ON.
I cant get data with this rom. I am on sprint network...
That fixed that issue. I have been getting now like flashing screen sometimes when pulling down the status bar to see notifications. Any fix for that? thanks
Thanks!
Thank a ton dude, this rom rocks. Better than lineage 16 for g7 haven't found a single bug. Speed is much better than lineage. Surprisingly awesome. Great work. Kudos!
@elboss Here's a test build. All others on Sprint (also if CDMA), Verizon please test if the calling/mobile data/volte works accordingly or not.
Candy-river-10-Stable-TESTING-20200402-1100.zip
Good morning guys. I am about to take this custom build. Coming from stock w/ Magisk. Super excited. Following the steps before actually doing the install, I didn't see the location to the "copy_partitions.zip" - can someone please provide a link or show me where I missed it please.

Does Candy ROM have fingerprint?
Hi, I downloaded this Candy Rom for Moto G7 and it has been doing GREAT! Thanks. Just a question. When I try to use Terminal Emulator to edit device fingerprint. But this option is disabled?! Is it because this ROM does not have fingerprint? or how can I enable it? Can you please help? Thanks
------> under Terminal Emulator
------> type "SU"
------> Type "props".
Then the option is given
1 - edit device fingerprint (disable) Below photo is what it should be. But my device is showing (Disabled)
2........
I have a little question. Sorry, I'm new in this stuff.
Is there any method to install ROM without having a computer?
