You can't capture a 360 degree photo in a phone. I think you are talking about panorama mode where you can keep on capturing as youmove your phone.

Actually, You Can, if your phone has gyroscope sensor. You can capture 360 photo (photo sphere, not one-way panaroma) with Google camera app or street view app.
Here is a 360 photo that i captured with my phone. 360 photo link

Ah.....I think I found my answers after googling around.....Here is the answers if anyone is interested:
There are a number of reasons why Duo Effects may not work with your photo:
One or both lens were blocked when you took the photo.
You didn't use the Camera capture mode. You can't use Duo Effects on photos taken in other capture modes.
The photo you're trying to apply the effects to was taken using the front camera.
The scene was not set to Auto.
The flash was not set to off when the photo was taken.
There was not enough ambient light when the photo was taken.
You've zoomed in or the camera may be too close to the subject when the shot was taken.
Duo Effects can't be applied to cropped photos.
Duo Effects can't be applied to the same photo more than once.
Duo modi all the time greyed out
Hi,
i have the same problem all the time the camera says lenses are blocked. But my hand is far away form the two lenses

Would it be difficult to implement a way for front-facing photos in Google camera to be saved as they are previewed in the viewfinder like in Snapchat, Instagram, etc?

It would be kinda difficult, but why do you want to take a screenshot of the viewfinder rather than using hdr+ which is superior to any other phone in every way, There is prob a camera app out there that can do this, lemme do some searching for you

I suppose I'm moreso looking for a way for my photos to mirror back to how they appear in the viewfinder. Not so much much a screenshot of the view finder, but an automatic vertical flip of photos taken with the front-facing camera. I was just curious, thank you

It is annoying, I just flip them in snapseed.

Why google camera flipping of front camera photos?

I just can’t believe that the best market front camera does not have flipped photo mode, so disappointed.
The GCam Tool doesnt work :crying:
Is there any solution?
yes, i am disappointed too...
Hello, I am the developer of GCam Tool. I had replied to your Play Store review, with my email address ([email protected]), requesting you to get in touch. Nevermind, let me help you here.
First of all, could you please check your selfie using a third party gallery app like Piktures? Sometimes the gallery inside Google Camera app is slow to refresh thumbnail and so it might show it flipped but the actual selfie might not be.

What do you mean by flipped photo mode? My front camera photos all come out in the proper orientation, where the image matches the perspective of someone who is standing in front of me.
I'm using the gcam mod and it works fine. For selfies not being mirrored that is.
Apptuners you're right in saying Google photos is a little slower to update but it does work

But it is like a mirror reflection of what you see in the camera preview, isn't it? What you are saying is logically the correct way as even the writings on your clothes will be readable. Still I guess some people (myself included) prefer to have the output exactly as you see in the preview.

Thank you. That is great to know.
i hope google will fix this with an option to choose.
i prefer to see the same result as i see in my camera before i shoot
Glad I'm not the only one. It feels weird and unnatural when the picture isn't like in the preview. I know it's the way people see you but still I rather the pic be the same as the preview
what the heck are y'all talking about??

Hold something with writing on it in front of you while doing a selfie. The screen will display the writing backwards. But the pic will show the writing correctly.
I like it the way it is.
Thnk god now they have added a setting to save the selfie just as previewed.
i am facing the same problem, when i open the front camera in potrait mode it doesn't capture what it shows, it flips the image, i wish if there was an option to restrict flipping images...

Blurry pictures with children or dogs moving around?

Guys, I have a question about the camera of this device. I've always used an iPhone or other Samsung S-line device. When taking pictures of my always-moving daughter, or dog, on the Samsung (S7, S10e) always the hands or feet are blurry (even shooting in the daylight, where the shutter speed is the highest possible) . On the iPhone, I always get photos without this blur. Does anyone have experience in this type of situation with the Pixel?
Yes, if you have HDR+ Enhanced enabled you'll get blurry pictures that's why I use HDR+ and Motion or without any HDR option enabled.

Without HDR it gets much more static? That's nice. If you could post a sample it you be nice

Blurry Group Selfies

All group selfies are unusable because of blur, I have the feeling it is not an out of focus blur, but the artificially applied portrait lens faking blur. Can't find more information or how to disable it?
Were you using portrait mode instead of photo mode?

Only tried stock. Whenever I take group photos with selfie camera only my face is in focus everything else is super blurry.
