Hello,
Old post, but what modell of the Wing do you have?
I have european ITC (Italy I guess...), but it seems that although I installed the radio app that dipson posted here above, radio doesnt work... I have and use the original LG USB c to jack to try, with standard headphones.

I'm afraid that USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is not going to work just like it doesn't for recent jack-less Samsung devices, as these adapters lack the micro chip inside which triggers a proper antenna connection required by software to operate. You need to get a dedicated USB C headset that contains that trigger and of course not every USB C headset will work either. I'm afraid the European and American variants aren't enabled with this feature anyway since you mentioned you didn't have it preinstalled and a USB to 3.5 adapter bundled with it. The Korean (F100N) variant has radio preinstalled and also bundled with a pair of wired earbuds USB C connector.

Thank you for your informations. I didn't think about this possibility. I'll try with usbc headphones when I get home, would be a nice plus if it would work, although fm is soon to be dead versus dab+ in many european countries...

[Q] FM Radio Software

From what Ive read the G2 has FM Radio capability. Any way to get the FM radio APK off of the Vision rom for use on G2??
Thanks
Stingerrray
I'm fairly sure it does not have an FM tuner.
You could always use an app like Radio Time that can live stream any FM station on the globe practically.

So if it is even possible, it will need a proprietary headset adapter thing as an antenna for the FM radio. I'm not even sure THAT info is correct. However, HTC's site makes no mention of a radio.

heck even apples ipod nano can listen to fm with ANY pair of headphones. its required since nano doesn't have a built in antenna. Fm radio isn't listed under the G2's chip specs though same went for the N1's. though somehow the N1 got radio. maybe the same thing will happen to the G2. once we get root.

That site also says the G2 has a 2Gb ROM, which has already been disproved.

They pulled up the page for the Desire Z, here is the compare page for the Desire Z & G2. Granted that it still states that the G2 has a FM radio, the ROM capacity is at least correct.

Playing FM without Headset..any mod?

Dear Friends,
I searched a lot for mod playing FM Radio without Headset.
Please if you know the solution reply.
Thanks for making such a nice forum..
lol.. if they make a mod to include antenna in ur phone itself you'll be able to use it.. till then plug in your headphones as they work as an antenna
simple answer is that u can only dream of playing it without headphones

Cut the Jack connector from broken headphones, just 4 cm cable and you have mini antenna.
Sorry for my English
Do this
As described by R3nn3K do this ...(IMAGE)
SORRY for the low image quality
ok I LOL'd @ the above.
Anyways, buy wired speakers for your phone. They'll double as the antenna and an audio output (something you'll be missing with the above) and you won't need to wear headphones.
Personally, I use the Altec T515s (had them forever) and they work great. Their best function is bluetooth functionality, but they support "Line-In" and come with a cable to plug your phone directly into the speakers (giving you the needed headset functionality to make the FM radio work).

Wow, grats on obtaining the power of resurrection, cause you sure resurrected this dead thread.
And while TuneIn Radio (the correct name of the app you're trying to mention) does work (so long as you don't mind the 30-45 second delay behind the actual station) the OP did ask about using the pre-installed FM Radio app (which has no delay or extra ads) w/o needing headphones.
Which was dumb in itself. Who uses a radio without an antenna?
Anyways, necro posting is sexy!

Yea but don't you remember those antennas in old phones? Later on they were being placed inside of the phone, nowadays I guess it's so little space in there, they just decided to use headphones as a source.

Spirit FM is the way to go
Guys FM radio without handset mod exists for Moto Defy. It is available on this forum. I have used it and the phone does not have any external antenna. And that also had an option to switch between headset and speaker. Unfortunately we do not have it for HTC One.

FM Radio.. anybody

Does anyone know how to enable the FM radio inside the G Pro (assuming ATT kept it inside). I know from past smart phones that FM radio ability can lay dormant inside the handset until software enables it. This was the case with a windows phone recently. I do know that the international model had the FM radio. I need to know if ATT removed the FM chip or disabled it with software. I hope some one has root ability to offer some type of FM radio on this device (or using the Bluetooth radio as FM). Thanks for any help!!!!

I have not tried yet. I was just trying to figure out everything with the phone first.
I tried it but it said that no fm radio was found... could be that I didn't have it set up right though.

Default settings are usually best.
It's more likely to work if you're rooted though.
If there is no FM driver in the kernel, an alternate kernel may help.

All recent modern phones have FM tuners built in to them. They can utilize the headphones as a receiver. The problem is AT&T has disable the tuner so we cannot use it without a special driver. @nerdyblonde what do you think could you guys pack this into Blisspop?
Spirit fm maker have told that chip is disabled by hardware electric bond.
Not possible via software to enable it

Any way to retrieve the necessary programming?
If the FM antenna pin is grounded, as it is in most "Western world" phones now, nothing short of an extremely expensive and/or "heroic act" will fix it.
Do you know, or can you afford to hire, someone with access to thousands of dollars worth of micro-soldering and multi-layer PCB reworking equipment. And the skills to use them ?
In 4 1/2 years devoted almost exclusively to FM radio on Android, I have only ever heard of 1 successful case: A Chinese Android tablet that had an easily accessible antenna jumper. He used my app but we could never enable audio, which can be another huge hurdle.
Vast majority of devices use a PCB ground trace, that can be thick and very difficult to break. Then you'd attach a wire to a 75 cm or more long antenna/headset cable. Never mind the few coils or caps etc that need to be installed too.
TL;DR: Forget about it and get a new phone with stock FM, or a BT/FM headset like Sony MW-1.

Question What"s in the box?

Hi,
I'm a happy owner of a Oneplus 11, today
I have seen a lot of unboxing videos, some of the phones are coming with protective cases, some of them come with
adaptor dongle from Usb to C.
Mine didn't come with dongle neither, with case.
Am I missing something?
EU variant comes unfortunately without USB dongle and without a case.
Makes sense for the most expensive device across all regions right?
