CTS Profile False Error - Moto G Stylus (Moto G Pro) Guides, News, & Discuss

Any luck on a fix for this on this phone?
Thanks you'll have a great day

Magisk Manager shows cstProfile True for me. I'm running Magisk 20.4, Magisk Manager 7.5.1 (267) & the stock Rom QPRS30.80-58-5. You didn't provide any info about what you've flashed, or what you've tried to fix it so I can provide any help.

I am showing TURE and TRUE on Magisk 21.1 and Manager v8.0.4

MagiskHide props config is likely the solution you are looking for if you haven't found it already or if someone is looking in the future.

[Magisk] SafetyNet Bypass Thread

First of all i think there is a need in common thread about Magisk.
I am on XT1685 with 137-35 ver. and exprerienced some Magisk issues. MagiskSU works well on 12.0, 13 beta and 13.3. But SafetyNet is not. My particular problem is not mountable magisk.img. And there is a suggestion that may be caused by f2fs issue on some Lenovo devices (or something else). In different threads there are a lot of different messages about working/not working SafetyNet so i think we need clarification. Most people don't even bother to point out OS version, stock, custom kernel, model etc. So let try to gather information about issue together.
SafetyNet status: not pass
Model: XT1685
OS: Stock 137-35
Kernel: Stock
Magisk: 13.3
Have you also tried the universal safetynet fix and it still doesn't pass?
That's peculiar, I'm on 13.3 with a 1687 running -35 with extended kernel by @attack11 and pass without universal safety net fix.

Magisk modules don't work with stock kernel
For OP, you should try a custom kernel, probably this will fix your safety issue

Same there. Yesterday flashed attack11 Extended Kernel V4 for NPN25.137-35 then flashed Magisk 13.3. All is green without USNF. Tried V5 but there was broken camera.

I mean folder mount apps, the app in which you can free space, in which you have to mount the folder or can search it up on play store as folder mount or app2s all in one tool. It didn't seem to work on magisk 13.3 whereas it worked on magisk 11.6

Can not say something about that. I never mounted folders. Use only Root Explorer for file managing. Do you have problems with SafetyNet? Could you send Magisk log? May be your mounting problem has common roots with stock kernel issue and read-only preferences

I used this video as my guide: youtube[dot]com/watch?v=zUPTFnzAvSo
Root was successful with Magisk 13.3 (including installation of ElementalX-G5-1.01) but ctsProfile and basicIntegrity are false with Safety Net check. The creator of the video had us flash universal safety net fix v1.zip and updated safety net fix v2.zip which I did, but the SafetyNet check still fails. On his video, both items passed.
Not sure what went wrong for me.
He advised users (in the comments) to flash a different kernel, then flash the two safety net zip files again. Good advice or not? Can someone elaborate?
I can confirm all green via these steps: from stock, install extended kernel v4, install magisk v13.3, and all green. Updated to magisk v14 via Magisk manager, all remains green.

After updating to v. 14.0 ctsProfile error occured. I rolled back to 13.3 version but there was the same error. I flashed the latetst beta of universal fix and ctsProfile check went through. Don't know would it work with 14.0 ver.

Hi,
Most of the work regarding the cts check can be done with a custom kernel.
And one relevant factor is remove the parameters "androidboot.verifiedbootstate" and "androidboot.veritymode" from the command-line (patching the "/proc/cmdline" file).
See this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73712158&postcount=471
If you like to pass the SafetyNet, then first use a patched kernel or request to developers to include this patch!
Don't waste your time with other complex solutions!
Hi,
If you like to pass SafetyNet in stock and have full support for Magisk then install this kernel:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73783900&postcount=483
Regards.
Lineage OS 14.1 & LOS kernel with Magisk 14 does not pass.

I changed to the v4 extended kernel, Magisk V14.0, and also getting all green on the SafetyCheck with the 35 rom. BUT MagiskHide does not work: when I look at the logs I see
fopen:/magisk/.core/hidelist failed with 2: No such file or directory
Does MagiskHide work for you?
Yes working for me I suspect you have mounting error above that in log?

I suggest install stock then extended kernel then magick fresh

Xposed - Android Pie and Mi A2 Lite

Hi,
does anybody use EdXposed module for Magisk?
I flashed Riru core v18 and EdXposed v0.3.1.7_beta in Magisk.
If EdXposed v0.3.1.7_beta magisk module is activated, mobile data does not work? Is anyone facing a similar problem?
The problem is definitly with EdXposed, since it does not matter which Riru core version I use. If I use EdXposed v0.2.9.9_beta2, then mobila data works, but this version of EdXposed is really buggy.
I am on stock Pie rom V10.0.7, but it was the same with V10.0.4.

I´m in CrDroid Pie + Magisk 18.1 + Riru 18 + EdXposed 0.4.01_beta_SNAPSHOT and all working fine
Have a similar problem when haved 3.1.7 but i´m not sure the EdXposed, reinstalled crdroid and works fine, now upgraded to EdXposed 0.4.01_beta_SNAPSHOT and all works fine
I tried the EdXposed 0.4.01_beta_SNAPSHOT, but unfortunately it is the same.

Maybe the rom or kernel, i´m in custom rom and all works fine
Riru 17.1
EdXposed 3.1.7
Stock pie 10.0.7.0
No issues here
I think I have found the problem. I seems that EdXposed and Camera 2 API are somehow interfering with each other.
I does not matter if I use Magisk module Camera2_API_Enabler-v1.0.0 or activate camera 2 API threw SU ADB with:
1. setprop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1
2. setprop persist.camera.eis.enabled 1
The result is always the same. My mobile data won't work. If I disable Camera 2 API, then mobile data works.
Well, I posted this bug on EdXposed GitHub site and got an answer. Apparently this bug can be solved by changing selinux to permissive. Worked also for me (even on v0.4.1.2_beta). Hope it helps someone with the same issue.

Hi,
I followed this method, and my phone is now stuck on the loading bar on start-up (the multi color moving bar)... What happened ?
What should I do:
Flash the original boot image, or can I flash the magisk patched img file ?
Thanx !
I was using it with AOSP Extended Last build and magisk 18.1...but signal phone is not working sometimes...so i leave it.

It is strange:
If I flash the stock image, the phone will start
If I reflash it with the magisk patched file, it will stay stuck (I removed edxspoed apk, and resinstalled magisk apk)... This edxposed framewok seems to have broken something. I think I'm good to reflash the ROM....

EdXposed is a magisk module. If you disable Magisk or EdXposed then the system will boot again. Flashing/booting the vanilla boot image is one way to do it. You could then use Magisk app to disable EdXposed.
Another way is to start TWRP and use the shell to modify/remove files in /data. I don't know the specifics of this, but the mm (Magisk manager cli) module puts a script in /sdcard that allows managing Magisk modules from TWRP.

XPOSED and Safety Net PASS -- Instructions How To

This is important enough it deserves its own Guide thread. All credit goes to @drewcu -- and of course the edXposed devs! Go here and THANK this post. Full exchange is below, but please go thank @drewcu in that post.

YES, EdXposed absolutely passes Safetynet (both ctsProfile and basicIntegrity)! Install instructions here: https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposed but see below for the specific EdXposed version I recommend using.
I personally use magisk-EdXposed-sandhook-v0.4.0.1_beta-SNAPSHOT-release.zip found https://www.lanzous.com/b642738. Newer Sandhook versions with resource hooking like v0.4.1.2_beta and v0.4.2.3_alpha (and the YAHFA versions too) found https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposed/releases introduce some LAG for me that isn't present on 0.4.0.1. Haven't tried newer ALPHA versions like 0.4.3.7 but you are welcome to see if you experience the same lag. Would have to separately install both versions, start opening apps, clicking around, and counting time till the V30 responds to see the lag I am referring to. Is subtle but most noticeable in 0.4.1.2 and less so in 0.4.2.3.
The only Xposed module I use is GravityBox(O) and there is a version specifically for EdXposed -- 8.5.3.1-edxposed (https://github.com/GravityBox/GravityBox/releases/tag/v8.5.3.1-edxposed_o), although I updated to general version 8.5.4 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-gravitybox-v8-0-0-beta-1-tweak-box-t3739929) and have no resource hooking problems with 0.4.0.1 like I thought there might be and had with general version 8.5.3. If you use any OTHER Xposed modules that require resource hooking, you will need to use an EdXposed version 0.4.1.2 or above which has resource hooking but also possibly some lag (perhaps none in the latest alpha I don't know).
So I stay on magisk-EdXposed-sandhook-v0.4.0.1_beta-SNAPSHOT-release because it works with the latest version of GravityBox no problem, has 0 lag unlike newer versions (I think an Oreo problem), and passes Safetynet just fine.
Not sure if some of the steps I took after reading a forum about Safetynet were necessary but I did them anyway -- namely:
1) EdXP Settings - Enable Black/White List
2) Black List Google Play Services and Google Play Store
3) Magisk Hide - ALL of Google Play Services

Any help.
Never mind, figured it out.
This is great. I'm so happy to have Gravity Box again.
I too had a problem with lag with newer versions of edxposed. I switched to the version recommend in the OP and all is well.
If you comfortable using "chinese" app. Taichi is simpler solution (personally), although not much modules currently supported. Both edxposed and taichi are available on magisk repo
Thanks @ChazzMatt, finally got around to installing Xposed again. Thank god for GravityBox!
edit: after playing around for a day, I'm disabling edx. I'm getting lag, force closes, unresponsive back button, and major battery drain. Sad to see the framework hasn't changed much in 1-2 years. It's not worth it for a single Xposed module.

I'm on a fresh clean install of the TWRP flashable version of US998 30b with Magisk 20.1 installed and working, and while i've got the Riru - Core module installed (v19.5), no matter which Riru - Ed Xposed module I use I get the following error message from EdXposed Manager 4.5.2 explaining why it's installed but not activated:
There seems to be a known issue("Wrong base directory: /mnt/expand/7f941a12-b7aa-4d2a-a664-f89a46b7d86c/user_de/0/org.meowcat.edxposed.manager") with your ROM.
Suggestions on where I go from here?

Solution Found. My EdXposed Manager had been installed to External Storage. It only works on Internal Storage.
Safety Net Fail w/ Gravitybox
It looks like as soon as I enable the Gravitybox module that you recommend, safetynet fails. Are you still passing with your setup (I'm wondering if there has been some update that this version of Gravitybox no longer passes)?
UPDATE: even though safetynet shows up as failing in Magisk, I am still able to use Google Pay, so maybe it is working? I'll update this post once I've tried using Google Pay to pay for something.
UPDATE again: after a couple of days, Google Pay showed a pop up message saying that it would no longer work. Uninstalling and reinstalling gets it working temporarily again it seems.
Dear @ChazzMatt
Should I install the old beta in the last page or the latest canary to avoid safety net and which versions is the best?
Note to everyone: installing xposed framework will trigger safetynet....and uninstalling it will do as well
And i don't know how to solve this except flashing a new rom

Does anyone have xPrivacyLua working on rooted stock Q?

Rooted with Magisk Canary, using EdXposed YAHFA, since Sandhook causes bootloop (hanging at G eternally). xPrivacyLua says "Module Not Installed Or Updated" Same installing from inside EdXposed and as .apk.
Other modules work if I install them, so EdXposed is generally working, but the only one I really care about is xPrivacy.
Is anyone using EdXposed, and are there any tricks or known gotchas with Q or the XL / Bonita that I am overlooking? I would really love to get xPrivacyLua running.
Edited to add:
Fixed by using EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.6.0_beta-release.zip

Question SafetyNet fails with LSPosed or EDXposed

I'm currently still using stock MIUI 12.5.5 (Android 11).
With Magisk, my phone could still pass SafetyNet without additional Magisk modules. However, I needed to install LDPosed or EDXposed in order to use the NoWakeLock xposed module. Well, I tried both and they install fine, but fail SafetyNet.
My understanding is that LDPosed is supposed to be more reliable and better compared to EDXposed, one of the reason being is that EDXposed will fail SafetyNet, whereas LDPosed won't...
I've tried using Magisk Props and a few SafetyNet related patches. They installed fine but I still fail SafetyNet. Those patches work fine for my other phone running on stock MIUI 12.5.3.
Just wondering has anyone tried setting up Xposed on their phone, specifically stock ROM, and got it to pass SafetyNet?
Installed " fix safety" works is LSposed.
i dont know if it works with edxposed
and check "Magisk hide" in Magisk manager.

Tried both already. Works on other phones but not on this one. Tried in both stock MIUI and GSI OctaviOS.
