Hey guys,
when trying to unlock the bootloader the official way, I get the error message
"Unfortunately, your device(Taiwan , (TAIWAN) )does not support unlocking the bootloader."
LG support has not responded yet, but the message indicates what their answer will be.
Is there any way to get the bootloader unlocked other than having LG send the unlock code?
I found several threads all over the internet with people describing the same problem, but no solution was posted. Since all those threads are from mid-2015, I was wondering if anyone found a solution by now.
If you find a solution , please let me know .

its clear enough to me... you cant.
and theres no other way.. yet... maybe one day it will.. unofficially.
I asked this a month ago with no luck.
There hasn't been any real progress on having an unofficial bootloader unlock since august/september of 2015.....
It's almost a year since anyone has really talked about it. I don't think it's ever gonna happen :/

I checked again today still no bootloader unlock for Taiwan ...Anybody try sending an email to LG to see what they say ?
my guy on the inside says there will be bootloader unlock but dont know when

Of course I meant an unofficial way when I wrote "other than having LG send the unlock code". Anyone working on that?

I asked the LG developer support. All they replied so far was that by company policy, they do not allow models other than "European market" to be unlocked at the moment.
I answered that I am not satisfied with this "policy" and that I'd like a reason for them to block customers from their freedom of choice what to do with their devices. No answer yet - will post here when I get one.

More people need to ask their developer support program to make an official unlock for the bootloder...this is not a one man job we all need to participate in this all those having TAIWAN H815 models..
Is there any way to at least gain root access on these phones? Mine is running software version "V20c-TWN-XX", which is Android 6.0 with security patch level 2016-01-01.

LP yes. but i seen 2 different post claiming root on MM with locked bootloader.
It's easiest to just downgrade to Lollipop via LGUP. Though it still took me a while to find the right pre-rooted image to flash on my phone.
I just completed the process of using LGUP to rollback to Lollipop v10c, and then rooted it. Surprisingly I was even able to get Xposed framework installed with the bootloader locked. I guess the only thing I'm really missing is TWRP, but I can live without it.

it could.. when i got my G2 there was barely any software all of the sudden alot of roms popped.. we need more people on this phone and developers..

not so sure ... but LG has removed the team the worked on past phones and eithe has a new team or will be not making any more phones. .... g5 sales arent too good...
I've the H815 V20d-TWN-XX 6.0 MM with sec. patch level 2016-06-01, and as I've read, no way to unlock bootloader for this model, so frustrating.
I was hoping at least to find a way to have this particular G4 version rooted with the bootloader locked, does anyone know how can this be done?
Been looking for a solution but haven't found anything so far, I'd just flash a previous version but some people wrote in other threads that this 20d has noticeable battery improvements...
So any help with, as for now, the best way to go to get root access in this device, is very much appreciated. I've been trying to do this for weeks

I am assuming with the boot loader locked, there is no way to try out any of the custom ROMs here ....what a shame as I wanted to give lineage a go

Read the OP carefully and be fully aware of the risks and limitations. steadfasterX is working hard to overcome the locked bootloader situation and has had some success to-date using his own version of Lineage with testers.

From most people I've read, htc won't care but some have specifically reported that htc did not service their phone under warranty because of it. Best to contact HTC live chat and ask directly

It really depends on where you live and service center itself. Some centers don't care about bootloader status, some (like the only service for HTC in my country) won't even take the device if bootloader is unlocked
Hi newbie here..Any one here with build number 150 (BND AL10 C675 B150) for Indian Version of Honor 7x?The build numbers that I have come across here in XDA and in firmware finder app are B141 and B160 (Face Unlock update). I have not received any OTA updates for quite sometime and security patch is dated 01.01.2018.I must add that I had bricked my phone (due to careless use of root access) around 3 weeks back and got stock ROM and Recovery flashed as well as Bootloader relocked from Huawei's Authorised Service Centre.Could anyone please throw some light regarding this situation ? Thanks..
I have the same build number BNDL10C675B150 after update from B130 . But i did not get face unlock on honor 7x after this update. Honor promise to give face unlock update by 18 March 2018. So I purchased this mobile on 16 march. But it is fake promise for sale promotion and sale maximising.
Also My all friend get B141 update then to B160/B161 (Face unlock) . I still do not get face unlock feature after 1 week from the given date. It is a case of fraud and cheating , to divert mind from other brands.
I request the company from mail to please give me update as soon as possible for face unlock.
Also i did not understand what have you done or brick or root ur phone but My mobile is safe and nothing has been changed to it.. it is in warranty so i prefer not to do anything with it. But Still no face unlock update.

Hi guys, I have the Mi A2 Lite from the end of December last year and the phone is blocked at the update of December 5, 2018, I contacted Xiaomi assistance 3 times from February to today because their answers were always "we withdrew the update for problems "or similar, in the end I discovered through IMEI1 and IMEI2 that my phone was initially intended for the papua new guinea, and according to Xiaomi I can't update the phone in any way. At this point the question is obvious to me "so if one makes a trip abroad and buys a Xiaomi when he returns home he remains screwed ?!"
Do you know how I can update my phone? I tried expressvpn but it didn't work.
Thank you in advance for your help guys, I hope that anyone of you have the solution. I bought this phone for my father too, it's his first smartphone and I wouldn't want to feel guilty about making a wrong purchase.

AFAIK unlocking the bootloader doesn't void warranty on AndroidOne devices, of course after you relock the bootloader. Because there is no way of knowing that it has been unlocked/flashed etc.

Yes You Are Absolutely Right. Bootloader Should Be Locked After Flashing The ROM Or In Flashing Time.

It sounds good to me, but when I felt the impossibility of not being able to downgrade I was forced to sell it as a tmobile device, since for some strange and not logical reason, it did not register on the sprint network in any way and the only option that sprint gave me is to send it to warranty:crying:
