Can confirm it does work and the settings are actually different. The AMOLED settings are more vibrant then the NATURAL settings, but not as vibrant as VIVID

Thanks for sharing! I don't get why Samsung would want to hide this setting...

Mind sharing the sub reddit link from where you got that?

The phone automatically switches modes like when viewing a movie, right?
Or not? Or is it there for 3rd party apps to utilize?
If not set to natural though it blows the saturation through the roof for pictures. Couldn't see setting it to vivid or cinema all the time.
Color calibration/throughput has always been a huge issue with Androids... still is.

I'll be makin' moar on my Gplus (in my sig) and probably put them in Xda > Android > General or Theme
#Warning: You shouldn't need warnings by now - but I'm not liable if someone actually finds a way to screw up their device with a bootAnimation
:victory:
Yup,can confirm black screen.
You should learn how to resize pictures with out completely screwing up the aspect ratio on them. Every one of those images is horizontally deformed.

It's kew. Honestly, I shared that I was making one on plus, and after 100+ pluses and a ton of comments, I wanted to produce a working version for everyone and "perfect" in time.

Thanks bro really a great camera app!
BTW HERE IS THE RESULT IN SUPER LOW LIGHTING CONDITION!
Sounds good ! I m going to test. Thanks.
Edit : I got a green screen with DU ROM 8.0. Shame, cant test this app...
Anyone tried this one?
Gonna try it! Its sounds weird to me but lets see!
Jb is even better. Thanx and a lot!!!
Seriously guys you see improvement?
Thank you so much! the focus is a bit more stable.
No, the quality of the photos remains poor. The ICS camera is no better than Google Camera.
We still need Motorola to release a proper firmware fix that removes ALL noise reduction.
I like me Hd Camera https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.snowlife01.android.hdcamerapro
This is the same app but fot Kitkat https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moblynx.camerakk It works great for me
My app also recommend this.
I made this app. I set a high resolution and a low and then already shares. The image can vary from camera to camera. Test. Thanks and any constructive hint is welcome. hugs

Video optimizer on all the time?

Hey all,
I'm liking my Note 7 fine, but I'm not LOVING it, and it comes down to one thing for me: the screen just isn't as vibrant as past phones (Note 5 and S7). It seems that Samsung has dulled it a bit, the colors don't "pop" in that over-saturated way they used to. Playing with the screen modes it seems the Adaptive mode is the most vibrant but even there it's noticeably duller to my eyes. It's by no means a deal-breaker, but it's my one "complaint" at the moment.
Interestingly, activating the video enhancer works wonders - when watching a video! Which is nice... but I want that thing on ALL THE TIME! I actually mentioned this to a Samsung rep in the store the other day and his answer was "well, nobody's complaining about it". Well, nobody BUT ME I guess. And I totally get that some people never liked how artificial the colors used to look on Samsung devices, and it's why the screen modes were always a great thing. I could turn on the mode that made the colors pop while others could leave it off. I just wish I could do that with this phone, but I can't.
I know there's no setting for activating that video enhancer across the board but I'm just throwing it out here in case there's a hack or app or something I'm not aware of... and if not, maybe get some enterprising dev thinking about it For me, it's taking a nearly flawless device and bringing it down just a hair. Not drastically, but a little.

Need Help Identifying A Stylus

Not long after buying my S8 Plus almost three weeks ago I remembered this interesting-looking stylus I saw on a review on this phone from Pocketnow. Juan Carlos did the review and he was using this stylus:
{

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I thought about this stylus because coming from the Note 5 I was feeling a little S-Pen withdraw and thought this stylus he was using might be a good way to interact with my S8 Plus similar to my S-Pen because of its fine point. They're pretty similar in appearance and from what I can see in the video the responsiveness was fairly quick.
Awesome. So I scan the entire comment section of the video and notice about 20 people asking Juan Carlos what stylus he was using and all but one actually got a reply from him and it wasn't even the answer it was just him making a silly joke about using Bixby Vision.
Dude's being super coy about giving us the answer for some strange reason. I tried to send him a tweet but I got nothing. What's up with folks who do this kind of thing? Why? Why not just share a link to where we can buy it or just tell us the name so we can go look? So strange.
If anyone here can identify what the exact stylus he was using in the video I would really appreciate the help. Minute mark 4:19. Thanks!

[MOD] Fulmics BIOS/POST boot animation

I got bored, and made this simple animation for the LG G6 (you could probably install it on many other phones aswell, but the numbers and info are for the LG G6 (US997))
simplest way to install is to use "Bootanimation for Superuser" on the play store, if you have any requests or questions, feel free to ask.

That's great! Is there/could you make a more generic Android/Google version, I'd like to use this on my other devices too.

Because of the different aspect ratio, it would be difficult to edit this one, but feel free to use parts or all of it, some tips, it is much easier to start from a frame right before the screen needs to scroll and work backwards, if you want to check out my inspiration, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=648555
