Power Button unresponse (stuck?)

Hello,
My HTC One M8 power button suddenly went unresponsive yesterday - Nothing happens when i click it to turn on/off the screen or even get the power menu up. Sometimes it seems to be stuck (Pressing the home button triggers the screenshot function (Power + home ))
The button itself does not seem stuck or anything and i get normal response when clicking it hardware wise.
I already tried restarting which didnt solve the problem.
I'm running stock rom, unrooted version 2.22.401.5
Any idea what might wrong?

My PC currently suffers from the same button stuck issue. All I do is power it off and keep pressing the power button something like 20 times gently and continuously. Give it a shot. Make sure the button is clean in the cut outs and do the same trick to your button. Make sure you [DONT] power off the device, as there's a chance of never booting up; just some friendly advice. :good:
Sorry to bump this, but might be helpful if anyone else gets the same problem.
I sent my HTC One M8 to repair where they replaced the power button - Everything seems fine now.

S4 mini with broken screen in download mode

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to rescue the contacts of a S4 mini with a completely broken screen (just black). I found some post stating:
First remove battery and reinsert, then press volume down, home and power button at once until the device vibrates, release and push volume up. Connect USB and flash the TWRP recovery with Odin. After removing/reinserting battery press volume up home and power. It should be in MTP mode.

As I can't see what happens on the phone I tried it several times but no luck. What happens is:
I press all the mentioned keys until it vibrates and when I release the buttons to press volume up, it vibrates again and a few seconds later the Samsung jingle is playing (I guess this is normal booting). Any idea, what I'm doing wrong?

depends what was causing your blank/black screen. If the cable has come loose then it will not work until it's reinserted.
What caused the black screen? Did you drop it?
Is there any sign of power in the screen? Is the black screen you mention caused by "no power" or "no image", do you think?
If no power seems to be getting to screen then you should take the back off and the inner cover and check the connectors, as first step. But could be other hardware failure (if not software).

Phone doesn't turn on

Hello,
I bought a redmi 7 about 4h ago,
I was surfing on the phone randomly when all of a sudden green artifacts appeared on the screen then it turned off.
I can not open the phone again (by holding the power button) , I can only initiate fastboot by pressing the power button and volume down, but then I can't do anything else. Also the notification led doesn't turn on when I plug in the charger. I tried using adb but the computer doesn't see the phone.
Is there a way I can fix it without voiding the warranty or do I have to return the phone?
EDIT: I can now power on the phone using the power button, but I get a logo saying "redmi by xiaomi" then it turns off back after a second.
It should be under warranty and you should claim it from your nearest mi store!

Mi 10T 6/64GB volume down button broken and reboot issues

I recently bought a MI 10T and it fell from my hand damaging the volume down button. The lock button heated up pretty quick so I switched it off and later it would go to fastboot mode when I try to switch it on. I tried to press all the buttons and it went to some Chinese update menu where I connected to WiFi for an update (thought it would might turn on the phone) but it showed error.
I couldn't afford to change the whole display panel as suggested by the Mi service centre so I took it to a local shop and after they repaired the button, the phone won't turn on and go into a reboot loop from mi recovery 3.0. I tried to wipe data but still it wouldn't help. I tried to reach out to a few local shops but they are trying to take advantage of the situation and taking money for doing nothing and declaring that the motherboard needs to be changed. What do I do? Can someone tell me what can be wrong with the device?

Question [Solved?]Volume + button is stuck

That's it. The phone thinks the button is pressed even when it's not. The problem persists through reboots. Just lightly touching the button causes the volume to go up, so it's probably a hardware problem. No, i didn't drop my phone, idk why but it suddenly broke. Has anyone else had this problem?
[Edit]: the button "un-stuck" by itself and now works properly again thankfully. Idk how it happened.
Power button responds without pressing.
Basically, my mi 11x has developed an issue where touching the power button alone is enough to restart the phone and this is a problem because now the phone reboots if my hand touches the power button. it may or may not have anything to do with...
