Hello,
Long story short my ARC's accelerometer's X/Y axes are way off (can't use any apps that require accelerometer). Is here any way to calibrate it?
I think a hard reset may be the only way to restore the accelerometer (assuming it was not perma-damaged when you dropped it). There is a similar thread on the X10 forum

Unfortunately I don't think there is a system menu where u can calibrate it......could be wrong tho.

Also accelerometer itself is working just axes are off and here isn't any options in system menu/service menu to calibrate it (At least I couldn't find any).

No probs
Have you tried an app called Bubble? (spirit level app). What happens when you try to open this? I know you can calibrate the accelerometer within that app, but not sure if it applies to system settings too. Might be worth a try
I've tried buble level app. After calibration it works perfectly but calibration isn't system wide.
Hey, try downloading the game 'jetcar stunts' from the market, there's an option there to calibrate the accelerometer. Try that and see if it works
Hello All
Earlier today I noticed that somehow when my phone wakes up my lock screen is full screen, in other words the notification bar is gone. It is like it in auto hide, as it there normally once the phone unlocks. You can see come down as the phone unlocks. The thing is, I never changed it and the phone seems to have no obvious way of changing it in the options so I do not know how to change it back. without I cannot see notifications unless I now use the swipe screen lock as well, which I really don't want to. Any ideas please?

Many thanks for your reply. Sorry I should have given more info. earlier. Yes it is rooted (with TWBR 2.4.4.0) and running a Phoenix V8 custom ROM but in many ways it very like a stock ROM, albeit with a few extra bits and pieces and differences. It was fine for the last few days. I think, although I cannot be certain, but I temporarily put widget locker on it and I think it happened then but I cannot be conclusive about that. I did re-install Widget locker again just to see, if perhaps there was an option in there but could not see one, not that I would ever have chosen it. I have now removed it again. If all else fails I will wait for a newer version of the ROM and if a simple upgrade doesn't fix it I will rebuild the new ROM (it uses Aroma installer) from scratch, along side a complete wipe, if necessary, but I really don't want to do that now for such a minor problem. I suspect it is just an option that I need to find out how to change but so far no joy. Is it possible to just re-flash the default Samsung notifications bar or at a push re-install from an APK file?

Many thanks for your reply. I have just discovered it is definitely in auto-hide on the lock screen as when I go put my pattern in, if I touch near the top of the screen it actually comes down and then goes back again when I let go. Would a factory reset not, pretty much, be like a full wipe, as it just set it back to like it was when it left the factory? Although I do have the standard Samsung option of backup and restore on the same options page. I was wondering whether to do a full backup in TWRP and then try that option. It just seems overkill for what must be an option that can somehow be set. I was just hoping someone could enlighten me first.

Hey,
Having a few problems with the camera while in manual mode. Most times the manual mode either lags or dosent work. I can snap snap a few pictures and then when i try to change the settings in manual it wont work, it looks like it working but the changes dosent apply. Extremly annoying. The only solution is too reset default settings..
Also, if changing shutter speed to 4s when its lots of light it will make that setting stuck and even if i change it to higher it will just lag until i change back to auto mode and then back again.
This bothers me a LOT! anyone having the same problem? Also is it possible to NOT preview the shutterspeed, and just apply it when taking the picture (like most cameras).
edit: Just tryed the manual mode again and the manual settings is not working now either.

I have the very much same problem and can't find a solution, I'm afraid that I'll have to perform a hard reset. I tried to reset the camera settings to default, tried to remove the app data from the settings menu and none of this worked. But the manual setting funcion was working OK for me originally.

Yes, very annoying and i can not find why it seems to works sometimes. Please pm me or reply in the thread if a hard reset worked. Just spent 2 hours making my screen as sexy possible with widgets and apps so i rather not do i hard reset.:angel:

Thanks to @Frutek from the Pictures taken with M8 thread I now have a working solutions. Set your language back to English and the manual settings will work again. BTW, what is the language you are using the phone in now? Mine was Czech, I guess that Frutek used Polish... So it may have problems with Slavic languages.
All i can add to this is setting shutter to 4 means it updates the preview every 4 seconds as you probably know but this setting only works in low light dark night settings. my manual settings do lag to and maybe htc will patch this soon

I am having issues with nexus 5x, with flash on & HDR off a the flash is pathetic in a Dark room the flash goes off but all the photos are dark? Or when there is a little light with flash forced on the room is no brighter??? Help.
In a bright room if I force the flash on the photo goes dark? This makes no logic?

Think I have found the problem, when the battery goes below 20% the flash looses most of its power.
Same problem here, when battery goes below 15% and i take a picture of near subject, the photo is almost all black. Does it happen to someone other?
I think however is a simply intrinsic energy saver...

The problem is android optimize the camera app for battery life
go to configuration->battery->battery optimization
then select option "all aplications", search for camera app and select no optimize
try again and compare

It may sound stupid, but use the WhatsApp app..
I tried every other app than the stock camera and it doesn't take the photo after/before the flash turned on..
Tell me if it did work to you ?

Use the camera nx with the zsl ! It works great with the flash unlike the stock camera app..

I got this new phone yesterday, overall it's pretty good, but i noticed something weird, when playing games, specially shooters where you need presicion it doesn't have a good response to small movements,
it's like having high deadzones with a analog stick from a controller, it doesn't recognizes position changes of the finger immediately after the start of its movement.
i have to pass a couple milimeters of distance from the initial position to the next to register, i haven't seen much people talk about this but some people say that it is a phone issue, others say it's a miui or rom issue, i seriously want to root the phone to test other roms, but i don't want to lose the warranty right now so i want to make sure if i can do something i didn't do.
My poco x3 nfc didn't have that issue, but i sadly can't do comparisons because it's not longer working.

(EDIT) i fixed it! it was just to manually adjust some settings in game turbo, this was getting through my nerves, please watch this video if you have the same issues.
I have the same problem with that, but i tried a lot of roms and fixes for that nothing helped.
If you really need only in game's, i found a solution of small movement via gyroscope, maybe that could help you.
This sucks... Yeah i use gyroscope to do these small movements for now.
Do you have the same phone? I'm thinking of returning it, but i still don't know if this one i got is a bad unit or all poco f3 suffers from this. I'm still thinking what is the best thing to do.
I have same phone i don't think its unit problem . Root your phone (you can easily unroot later) and use increase touch magisk module by vito hermawan.

what did you do in game turbo?
You have to adjust touch settings manually for every game and set it exactly like this, if you don't know where to find this watch the video i linked in the post

Pro mode for some reason sucks i don't know exactly why, it feels really bad but maxing these three options make it feel perfect.
Dont use Pro mode, just go into custom and to like the guy said on video.
I don't recommend you to change any of those touch settings.it becomes more choppy. Just disable swipe to screenshot feature.

Hey guys, i fixed this problem with clearing all data of "battery and performance" and this enables 120fps in cod mobile and i dont have latency with touch. Try it, it will solve all your problems.
