Custom roms - Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro Questions & Answers

Hi
Does anyone know if there are any more custom roms for Mi 10T (apart from LOS 17.1 which has a thread in the forum)?
I'd really like to see PixelExperience for our devices. I hope we get it one day!

As far as I have seen in many telegram groups, devs are not that Interested in developing anything for this phone before a11 comes out as stable.
One guy did pixel experience plus, but without support, and when he got a warning in lineage os group because someone else posted about pe+ in wrong group, he deleted everything, so no pe+ for now.
All in all, don't ask them that question in telegram groups, you'll get countless whines about servers not being free (i was building roms on my 10years old pc, i don't know why they need servers), and it will end with "why don't you do it yourself".
Truth is, they have no clue - one of them can't build kernel for weeks now, so based on that I don't think we'll see any success with custom roms for this phone anytime soon...

Lots of new Custom-ROMs

I am following this XDA section for a long time now. For most of the time, there were 2 or 3 ROMs (with more or less regular updates) for swift available: Cyanogen/Lineage, crDroid and Ressurection Remix.
In the last two months, nearly a dozen of new ROMs appeared, most of them unofficials. Can anybody explain this to me? Why do they appear now, where the Swift is (in my eyes) disappearing from the market?
Greetings
Matthias
Once you flash them all, you'll understand. They are pretty much the same. Different mix of features, all of them are LineageOS based. The only one you probably SHOULD try is Beroid's ROM (Dirty Unicorns and CRdroid), and LineageOS / ResurrectionRemix IMO, probably Mokee. Custom ROM's availability is more about the will of its creators, not about the headset itself. One day addictz10 just came and throw us as many of them, as he could.
It came to a point that I ask to myself the same question also. Rather than a question, I think its a blessing to have these. Many kinds of ROM to choose from a device with an official support that almost dead.
The real question is "Are we expect to have a frequent updates to these ROMs?"
All ROMs are almost the same but ViperOS, DU got my attention. I'm trying to boot AOSPA 7.2.2 at the moment, but sadly it's stuck at bootanimation, wish me luck
cheers,

Much better if you choose one AOSP/CAF based and LOS based for easy manage.
Also considered a fully featured ROM of course.
Cheers!

When is a Pie Rom gonna release??

Hey!
Just asking if there are any pie roms for the Cedric. Due to my looking around on the internet I would say that there isn't any. There seems to be for the plus and older models of the Moto G. And is there any roms being developed for this device.
Don't want to offend anyone I know how long or tedious doing this kinda stuff is and appreciate everyone who takes their time for development and what-not just a little curious
Thanks!!
I have seen more than 2 repositories in github with android p, so we have to wait only, there is already a rom based on android 9, but I have not tried it and apparently it needs to correct several errors, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAmYJ2UJk2o

TWRP, Dev support ++ for the OP7T in future

Times are changing for oneplus. Seems like software support will be worse in the years coming.
I love my oneplus 7T. It's nearly the perfect phone for me. Right now I'm on the latest open beta, rooted with arter97 kernel. Amazing experience. Could easily keep this phone for many more years to come..
But.. If official updates is lacking, we need proper ROMs, and a functional twrp and good dev support. Is there any chance this will change in the future? Or is official twrp dead?
To the developer community out there, please correct me if I'm wrong.
The biggest obstacle to a "functional TWRP" is the decryption issue that OnePlus will hopefully address. If that gets resolved, we should see the ROM community take off. I agree that the 7T is a phenomenal phone and damned near perfect. That being said, I'd give almost anything to see Paranoid Android on this phone!
Twrp works to flash roms. Try looking into GSI for now since the twrp we have now does not support oos backup but we have a few roms guys.
What is a proper ROM according to you?
There are very stables ROM in the development section.
And you don't need TWRP at all. Convenient sure, but absolutely not needed.

You can push the zip to /cache and flash fine. TWRP is not the reason for 'lack' development. An *actual* dev would have been able to build a ROM without any need of TWRP.
There are already good ROMs here in XDA, and you can find more on Telegram.
That being said, TWRP has made lots of progress on Android 10 and 11. Dynamic partitions should be fully handled, and fastbootd tools should be working too.
Just sync the sources alongside mauronofrios tree and test away.
As said upper, twrp is not an issue for devs, neither for us to flash roms
Amount of roms simply relies on the amount of people having this device. As OP released several phones (7, 7T, 7 pro), it seems normal we have less roms.
As a counterpart, Android's updates make it more easy to port roms, and most devices now share bigger part of dev tree.
AFAIK Paranoid Android 11 was just released on 8 & 8T.
7 & 7T will follow pretty soon, just be patient. Not every dev team has all devices to build up roms.
By the way, such topic won't change anything, maybe try financially supporting devs or learning to port roms by yourself.

Question Any one tried gsi on the device?

Hi guys just wanna asked has anyone tried gsi on this device. Cant really get used to with the whole miui rom. also any device tg group that we can talked bout the device?
Seems very few people owned this device and that is why no much groups / developers available
Also, don't forget the device needs special rom managing fold and unfold cases, so I don't think we will get any custom rom very soon.

Question LineageOS

Who has LineageOS for Galaxy A52s 5G?
if you had searched a little you would have found this answer which would have saved you from asking your question.
You will find your answer here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-for-this-phone-a52s-5g.4416593/post-86614101
And this answer is correct.
Indeed, the devs are not going to work on custom roms for smartphones with no real reputation.
Developing a custom rom is a lot of work and a team. Even LineageOS!
I am prettysure a group of people are developing Lineage OS for this phone, but it might take some time before it releases.
