Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S7+ start receiving One UI 3.1 update - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 / S7 Plus Guides, News, & Di

After rolling out the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update to most of its high-end smartphones, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 11 update to the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+. However, the new update brings along One UI 3.1 instead of One UI 3.0, which is a surprise. The company’s flagship tablets have become the first devices to receive the One UI 3.1 update.
The Galaxy Tab S7 (SM-T875) LTE, Galaxy Tab S7+ LTE (SM-T975N), and the Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G (SM-T976N) are now receiving the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in South Korea. The new software update comes with firmware versions T875NKOU1BUA8, T975NKOU1BUA8, and T976NKOU1BUA8, respectively, for the three tablets. The file size of the new update is over 2.4GB, so we advise you to download it using Wi-Fi.
The new update brings many Android 11 features, including one-time permissions, chat bubbles, a dedicated media playback widget, a conversations section in the notifications shade, and improved Digital Wellbeing. It also brings One UI 3.1 features such as the refreshed UI design, improved stock apps, Private Share, the ability to remove GPS location data from images while sharing, improved performance, improved memory allocation, more lock screen widgets, and video background for calls.
If you are a Galaxy Tab S7 or a Galaxy Tab S7+ user in South Korea, and if you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. It is likely that Samsung will roll out One UI 3.1 to the Galaxy Tab S7 series devices in other markets and to other Galaxy smartphones and tablets globally over the next few months.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of jamming up my brand new S7+ considering I haven't used odin in years been living with TWRP on a Pixel C and Nexus 6 both of which are super easy peazy compared to Samsung devices having an added layer of complications

I could go back and reinstall my firmware with ODIN, good

so i've got the sm-t976b version, can i flash sm-t976n firmware version on top? or there's brick risk, so that i should wait for the t976b rollout? thanks

Absolutely, that's what I have.

Guys, it's not rocket science. Download fw, unzip, flash in odin. Use homecsc, and data doesn't wipe. It doesn't get any easier. Want root? Patch the ap file with magisk before flashing.

Put your tablet into Download mode
Select the files shown in the image and flash away.

Not worth my time... I am sporting XAR firmware, and expect the next update to be next month. If so, I may upload it here, as all the XAR firmwares seems best when checking them out with other patched or modded firmwares.

How do you know there will be an update this month?
Do you expect that the update come with an updated security patch?
TIA
To answer my own question, I flashed the above firmware ( PEO-N5110XXSDQA7-20170207091810) to my Canadian Note 8 (n5110) and here is "about device" screenshot. It does not say anything about Security Patch Level.
My Galaxy TAB A has the same security software version and it has November security patch. So I guess this firmware should have November security patch.
It's odd they would release annother 4.4.2 build rather than an actual update. but the annoying part is that there doesn't seem to be a canadian or usa build.

It f/w an update... the few released have stagefright updates and fixes to kk.
Though other regions will be updated as well, with even more recent updates to KK and stagefright.
I just dont bother with these as the only regions I deal with are XAR and BTU. I am a happy puppy with C0I3 as it only has one outstanding stagefright issue, which my antivirus scans for automatically when I download vids. So I see no real reason to update my build unless I get bored and redo all my customizations one more time. Ha!

Safe to update to latest patch? Without breaking root / twrp?

Awful quiet around here guess everyone bought the tab s6!
I noticed an update available this August 2019. Has anyone flashed their tab s4 with Odin? And then rooted once again? I'm using a t835n and plan to get the t835 international version. But I want to be sure I can root after.
Another question - on sammobile they have so many different country options for the t835 international model. What is the actual difference? I use my device in USA so what would be the best version to flash so that I have the most bands for my carrier (TMobile). Or does flashing firmware not have the effect I am thinking on bands?
Thanks!

That's a very good question.
Are you on Oreo or Pie?
My guess, based on the rooting guides I've been reading is the one for the country that you bought the device from. I think you are on the Korean version, so I would think that would be the ideal update to use on the device and then just use it in English.
As for the S6, I'm inclined to buy another (3rd) S4 because the lack of the headphone jack is intolerable for me.
I will ask in the Note 9 forum, but do you happen to know the international version of the Note 9 that is the equivalent of the Korean 6GB Tab S4? They dropped the headphone jack on that one too. I use it to get radio on my phone.
So I rooted the Korean 6GB versions that was factory shipped with the most recent and up to date Oreo firmware and it rooted just fine. I'm missing a few apps but I'm not sure why that is (weird like missing email, internet, calculator, some google crap...). I'm trying to figure out why, but I NEVER let it connect to the internet for any reason yet. I sideloaded some of the apps and it seems fine. I'm going to check with my other Tab S4 6GB that is on the original stock firmware from the beginning to see if those apps were ever there in the first place tonight and post in the TWRP thread.
Root is fine. So I think you will be fine with the most recent firmware for Oreo. I suggest getting the Korean (region specific) firmware for your specific device.
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-s4/firmware/SM-T835N/KOO/
It took me a little googling but it did turn up. Sammobile site didn't fine it for me, I had to google to get it, even thought it was still the samobile site where I found it. I didn't download any successfully yet.

I have an AT&T 10+ still running on Pie.
I refuse to upgrade as it runs fast, very stable and I know Q would screw it up bad.
Lol, a virus be less trouble than Q
Be warned, AT&T's last phone updates are usually their worst.

My Galaxy S9 SM-G960U1 haven't got Android 10 Update Yet ?

Hi,
XDA Community
So my inquiry today, is that
i realised samsung has just roll out the Android 10 Update for S9 devices, on Feb 2
but my phone is not getting updated yet via OTA, like always
I had no problem getting Android 9 (Pie) when it released.
but now, i am so confused, why my phone is not getting the update.
Well, i looked into SAMMOBILE official page, and some carriers of my model [SM-G960U1]
have already the Android 10 Update,
so my question here is, wich one of those sammobile.com - samsung - galaxy-s9 -firmware - #SM-G960U1]
, is my correct update or firmware
i figure out is the Uknown (XAA) Version [sammobile.com - samsung- galaxy-s9 - firmware - SM-G960U1 - XAA - download - G960U1UEU7DTA5 - 314846], but i need to be sure
so here we are, i need some help to get the correct firmware for my S9.
The things is that the PDA and CSC are the same on each Carrier, and is difficult to identify
i never had that issue with previous phones like S6, S3 or S7.
also, i looked into IME PAGE INFO, and says that is : XAG Version -> IMEI.info: CSC XAG
so, that confuse me.
NOTE: AND not MY Phone is not Rooted, i keep it official since i bought it.
so for you, i have the ADB Lines: of my S9 Phone:

XAA is one of several multi CSC firmware sets. Just flash it in Odin, youll be fine. HOME_CSC to not have it factory reset and CSC to have it factory fresh.
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s9/firmware/SM-G960U1/XAA/download/G960U1UES7DTB2/319745/

very insightful.... posts like these are the glue that keeps this community together :: facepalm ::
Thanks to all,
i just figure out, that my device support XAA and TFN Carriers, and i just get the Android 10 update, today.
for some one that this can help
to switch between XAA or TFN, just depend on what type of SIM you are using, both can work on this samsung s9 model, the phone will automatically reboot and swith the best for you (XAA or TFN)
Have a great day!

Downgrade to Android 12, One UI 4 - because of broken ANT+ Support?

Is there a possibility to downgrade to the last Stock ROM?
How to do this?
It's because of the broken ANT+ Support. Custom ROM with ANT+ would be great too, but I can't find one with working ANT+. Any recommendations?

You can flash Android 12 Firmware using odin.
Just download firmware files from Frija by typing your phones model number.
As for the CSC, the only one I know of with Android 12 as of now is KSA.
Once you get all the firmware files, place them in odin and flash while your phone is in download mode.

Is the wrong CSC a problem? I would need DBT for Germany unbranded.
Dispite of this, I can't find a Android 12 Firmware for my SM-G980F with Frija - not even with KSA.

Wrong CSC shouldn't be a problem as long as you have a sim card installed, but then again, it doesn't matter anyways since you want to stay on Android 12.
The S20 got updated into Android 13 in most countries.
Second way to do this is via those websites either Sammobile or samfrew where you just input your Phones model, CSC, and select what Android version you want.
