Unlocked ATT Galaxy Note 3 question.

Hi Guys, I'm considering purchasing a Note 3 that's currently on ATT and having it unlocked to work on T-Mobile. Once I unlock it, when I am looking to have it rooted, do I follow the steps for T-Mobile root, or for ATT root? Also, when flashing roms, would I use a T-mobile or ATT kernel?
I have a lot of experience rooting devices, but have never tried rooting an unlocked device from a different carrier. Thanks for your help.

Follow the steps for the N900A (ATT variant). By following the directions for another device you're asking for a brick.
Rooting a locked or unlocked device is no different. The only difference may be differences in the EFS/NV items after a unlock which are completely separate from the system.

You'll need to use everything from the AT&T section.
Edit: Ninja'd ^

Same here. Just bought an unlocked ATT Note 3 to use on T-Mobile.
To confirm, follow all the steps for ATT only yes?
Anyone have step by step instructions? Best ROM's to use for this scenario (Att Note 3 on TM), kernel links etc...
Thanks.

[Q] Sprint Note 4 on Verizon

Knowing we are all seeking some way of obtaining root without some long and complex procedure. Since Sprint and Verizon use the same technology is it possible to flash a Verizon rom on a unlocked rooted Sprint note 4?

No you can't flash anything but sprint roms on that device

Is it possible to get rid of the carrier boot animation?

I just got an S9, coming from a factory unlocked S8. My S9 is on Sprint and I can't stand the Sprint boot animation.
Is there anyway to get rid of it, and just have the regular Samsung boot animation?
I'm with you, I want it gone as well.
Sprint Galaxy S9 (SM-G960U)
Flash the unbranded/unlocked firmware for that model S9
also remove the carriers sim when you first boot and run setup

or use knox configure.. knox configure is a bit more technical though

unlock bootloader for g988u verizon

New to flashing and unlocking bootloaders. Accidentally came upon the download screen and wanted to learn more. I have a samsung galaxy s20 ultra 5g g988u but from Verizon. Ive read everything i could and still confused. Can anyone help me out with anything. Lol i just want to learn
U.S. variant of Samsung phones cannot be bootloader unlocked. Everything you read online most likely is referencing the international version, which can be unlocked no problem. The only way you can unlock a U.S. variant phone is by paying a service fee (search for SamPWND).

Is it possible to Root my Galaxy S20 +? (G986U)

I've been told that samsung locks their phones so you can't root them. Is this true or is it still possible to root this phone? It is a SM-G986U and uses a Snapdragon 865.
I've tried following a bunch of tutorials on YT, but they all say to activate OEM unlock, which doesn't appear to me. I've tried changing the date and everything to no avail.
thanks!
United States snapdragon does not have oem unlock meaning no root unless your bootloader isn't updated to high. Then you can use a service to unlock bootloader
I sent you a private message
