Root has been removed from LineageOS builds, to allow people who are not interested in rootaccess to enjoy apps such as PokemonGo or banking apps. A zip to re-enable root will be provided here. Other packages such as SuperSu, magisk or others are not supported and may cause problems

When do I have to wipe data?
You must wipe data only when you're switching from another rom or migrating to Snapshot branch from Nightly and vice versa. You don't need to wipe data when you update in the same release channe (this applies to 13.0 -> 14.1 upgrades too)

Unofficial Lineage 16 was released yesterday and the dev was kind enough to publish his device & vendor blobs used.
Using them, I'm currently building RR for you peeps. I don't own this device. hence, testers are needed to test Unofficial RR 9.0 .
Please note that testing a ROM has it's own risks and I willnot be responsible for any damage to your device.
Always take the necessary precautions like backing up data, keeping a nandroid backp ready etc.

These builds are created every Saturday night from a 100% unaltered LineageOS repository, which is synchronized with upstream every day. I must stress that there are NO MODIFICATIONS at all; if it worked/didn't work in the last official Cyanogenmod/LineageOS releases, it works/doesn't work in my builds. At Apple we called these "sustaining builds" -- they keep devices in sync with the latest security patches, but receive no new features.
with android 16.0 a device as with 2gb ram started hanging. Even with the These Zram Compression Tweaks , this device still wasn't performing optimally. Wiley already creating ROMs for many other lineageOs devices for prior generations. So I, had asked him for same if that can be done with HONOR 5x also. And he did that. And as from community i am very thankful to him.
Notes: This flashing procedure is same. If you are coming from any other ROM clean flash is needed. And obvisouly latest gapps.
Please do not ask anything in official to official lineageOs thread. And neither do I or Wiley will be looking at any error. These are builds are coming directly from lineageOs sources.

Afaik yes.
this great phone should have custom rom support as poco f3 has.
i am going to buy this phone only if it has custom rom support same as foco f3.
I am also keeping an eye on this device, it's reasonably priced and I'd like to try porting sailfishos on it since it could run android 11 which is supported as a porting base. The same catch 22 applies, I will buy the device when a lineage-like custom ROM is available..

Same, waiting on a custom ROM. The phone is literally perfect. Good price (Sub 450, great form factor, great battery, all it needs is a custom ROM as MIUI is meh.
xiaomi.eu has a build for it. I know MIUI isn't everyone's thing but I quite like the tweaks the team over there made.
I'm wondering how it's possible that alioth has lots of roms and psyche not.....? ;-)
