Unable to flash stock ROM - HTC U11 Eyes Questions & Answers

Hi,
I got a htc U11 Eyes and to root it I first unlocked it's bootloader, flashed TWRP recovery, installed Magisk and then when I restarted phone it got stuck on htc logo.
I'm able to take it to TWRP recovery screen but nothing else is working.
I have it's stock ROM as well but unable to flash it as TWRP refuse to recognize the ROM file as a valid one.
I have the zip file of stock ROM but it doesn't have any meta file or .img file inside that I could use to flash using a desktop.
Any help will be much appreciated.

same for my device
I found this website they have complete stock firmware for HTC U11 Eyes I did not try them and still checking if it is safe to use their services or not, check it also may it help you

Have you root acces?
If yes, you can do it
Step 1
Go to /dev/block/platform/dw_mmc*/ on any root file explorer.
*dw_mmc on my phone is "soc.0"
Step 2
Run Terminal Emulator
Code:
ls -al /dev/block/platform/dw_mmc*/by-name
*dw_mmc on my phone is "soc.0"
Step 3
This one will give you info about the dev block names WITH their familiar names (i.e, boot, recovery, system... etc)
On my phone RECOVERY partition have name "mmcblk0p43"
On the other phones should be the same (same model).
Step 4
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p43 of=/sdcard/recovery.img
File recovery.img should be created.
sorry no root. Waiting for 5.0
I found orginal recovery.img image on new OTA update.

If you are an indian user then can you please post recovery.img over here...
Yes! Appreciated if you post the link. Till date we do not know any single site which keeps listing of all firmwares of HTC which can be downloaded. Earlier I was using Galaxy Note. For Samsung, you can easily download firmwares from sites - Sammobile or samsung-updates.com. Few Chinese sites are there but it is very difficult to understand evenif you use Google Translate. So, sharing will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
D820n
If it work for d820n can you please upload it
Please share the recovery with us. I tried tons of recoveries for the d820 that you can find on the internet. None of them worked. I cant update or flash my phone due to missing recovery.
Edit:
I figured it out. I downloaded the newest ota-update via system settings. The update file can be found in download folder in your internal storage. I extracted the recovery.img from the .zip and flashed it via WinDroid 2.4 (go to Commands then flash recovery). I tried to boot into into recovery to have a look if it works. I got stuck in a black screen with a red triangle. Then i turned my D820 and it booted properly. I tried to update the system via ota and voilà: it worked. System runs smooth.
I got an Optus (Australian Carrier) phone so i don't know if my recovery will work on other D820's. And its the D820 Single-Sim with Snapdragon 615 quad-core processor. But if you guys want to try it at your own risk i will post my recovery here.

Do you mean that you rooted your device first using TWRP or CWM, downloaded ota and flashed it's recovery then flashed the whole ota?
Anyway, I'd be glad if you can give me a copy of your recovery.
By the way, was your ota v1.21.401.1? My D820n single sim is running it.
Yes, that is what i did except root. I got stuck on flashing TWRP because none of them worked for me.
My ota is 1.01.980.1_R. I can not post links because i am a new user. I'll send you a pm with the link.
If it will not work you might try another recovery from a different ota. Therefore just check on htcdev all available ota-updates for the HTC D820.

Need Help Getting BUMP'd TWRP on my LG G3 VIGOR D727

Like the title says, I need help finding a TWRP img for my LG G3 VIGOR D727 from Rogers (Canada) running rooted stock android 5.0.2. I have already found a thread that had TWRP img files for my phone, and I tried to use both of the twrp img files they provided. I used many methods to flash the img files like adb, flashify, terminal emulater etc, and they all ended up with me trying to reboot into the recovery and getting the "Secure boot error" on the top left of my screen and having to replace my battery. After a bit of research, I found out that LG phones have locked bootloaders, and I think the secure boot error I'm getting may be connected to that. It said to get around it you need to use a "Bump'd" or signed img file for it to work, but the thing is, I can't find one anywhere for my phone. The codefire website for BUMP won't load and I read somewhere that it's been discontinued or something. Can someone link me to a twrp img file for my phone that is BUMP'd or signed, or could you tell me how to BUMP the img files I have myself?

Have you rooted your phone first?. Also patching Bootloader after that flasht twrp.
Instructions, but they are old and no more support.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3s-beat-d722-thread-t3110048
Probably no more updates for your D727 or links for twrp.
Only twrp found, but i don't know if it compatible

How to get root on Nougat

Hi folks ! i have read a lot but getting confused somehow. Can anyone tell me or guide how to root my HTC 10 on Nougat ?
Unlock bootloader
Flash latest TWRP
Flash latest SuperSU
Beware Unlocking bootloader resets phone
Make sure to Nandroid backup
Better would be to flash Magisk to obtain systemless MagiskSU. This will keep SafetyNet working which is needed for Apps like Android Pay and so on to run and work. On the other hand you can in addition install some miss without even modifying system which would enable you to just flash stick recovery and install official OTAs as soon as they hit.

Bootloader needs to be unlocked. TWRP is compatible to Nougat - see TWRP thread. Latest Magisk can be found in the Magisk forum. Yes you can flash mods and install root Apps if you flash Magisk as it will flash MagiskSU as well.
All can be found in the respective threads, named above.

Detail your steps, please. Exactly what TWRP version are you trying to flash, and where did you get the TWRP (link to it)? Did you check the MD5 hash of the TWRP you flashed? https://twrp.me/, besides supplying all the official versions of TWRP for the HTC 10 "pme", also gives a link to the MD5 hash of each version in small print on the Download page for the version you choose "md5 for twrp-3.2.1-2-pme.img".
How are you trying to get into TWRP once you flash it? On the 10, after holding the Volume Down and Power buttons to boot into Download mode, choose "reboot to bootloader", then from the bootloader choose "boot to recovery mode".
I haven't been on Nougat since 8.0 came out so I can't personally test the latest TWRP with it, but if there's any problem with the latest versions with Nougat I'm sure it'd be mentioned in the TWRP thread here in the HTC 10 Development section. Have you asked about this issue there?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply mate.
Bootloader unlocked through the HTCDev site instructions. DL mode shows device unlocked, software modified, and S-On. SD Card is inserted. Fastboot in download mode to flash every .img listed on twrp and all .img files from the unofficial list. Didn't check the MD5's, thought it was pretty unlikely that all failed, but I'll try that when I'm out of work. Attempting to flash from Download Mode, using "fastboot flash recovery twrp***.img", *** changing per version. From bootloader mode, when I choose "Boot to recovery mode", I get the HTC logo + red disclaimer, then a reboot, more HTC logo + red disclaimer, then back into bootloader mode. Google searches have suggested using unofficial TWRP 3.0.3-6 or 3.0.3-9, but these files are nowhere to be found anymore. DL links here on xda seem to have been removed. 3.0.3-10 and -11 produce the same error as all other .img files. I've tried this on a machine at home and a machine at my job, so that's two different networks as well.
As a secondary, I've also tried "fastboot erase recovery" a few times before flashing TWRP images, same result.
Edit (2/3/18 @ 16:01): Verified the MD5 hashes, everything has downloaded correctly. Even if anyone has a copy of the 3.0.3-6 or -9 .img files, I'd be willing to try those out too.

Not able to find Z2 Plus' "Stock Recovery" "Boot Image"

Hi Everyone
I have a Z2 Plus 64GB India released model running Android 7.0 and March 2017 security patch. I have unlocked bootloader, installed twrp and also rooted using su zip file.
I have made the necessary tweaks that I wanted to do with the device and want 1) unroot (I know how to do it. Not an issue), 2) Replace twrp with stock recovery. But even after searching around in different forums, I am not able to find the stock recovery image anywhere. Can anyone help me with where to find the recovery file?
Also is it enough to only replace the stock recovery or boot image also requires any re-flashing? I am not sure about this.
Appreciate your help.
Recovery
Follow this link and download
I've extracted the recovery img and uploaded it to the drive drive.google. com/file/d/0ByBSgAwMMburNS12VEx5VVZ0b3c/view?usp=sharing

Global OTA 9.5.4.0 + TWRP = fail

My phone has unlocked bootloader, TWRP, and is rooted with magisk. Got the OTA for (global) 9.5.4.0 last night - it downloads/de-crypts ok, reboots into TWRP, and then fails to flash. I also tried to flash manually via TWRP by locating the downloaded file, still fails. During the night, it rebooted itself (to try again I suppose), and my alarm didn't go off.
So here I am, late in work, wasting more "work time" to ask you for a possible solution
Go back to original miui recovery then you can update your miui successfully. After update, reflash twrp and magisk.

Sounds easy, but I don't know how to do that. Could you point me in the right direction?
you can't flash an OTA with TWRP
Flash recovery img with fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
then boot your phone
settings->about phone->system update->update
it will get in origin miui recovery and update system automatically
after update finished, reflash twrp and magisk
Thank you very much @jimandy60
With all the respect though, I would prefer downloading the file from a popular location. Is there any way to find this hosted somewhere else, maybe by Xiaomi?

Hello!
I got the same problem but instead to come here and ask for help I tried to solve myself. I downloaded the lastest TWRP version and the device was not going into recovering mode. Then I installed again the previous one without results. I downloaded the TWRP app from Play Store and trying to solve I made wipe data, cache and I am not sure but I think also choose wipe system. Now my phone is stuck on the fastboot screen. Does not start. Using ADB I installed back the stck recovery but the problem remains. Somebody can help me please?
reflash the full rom?
download&unzip full rom package, get in fastboot mode and run flash_all.bat
