So if anyone has problems , clear cache on carrier services all the carrier apps and reboot. I didn't have any mobile data or service. Scary stuff

Works for me. Tnx.

Ok here's my guide. I think it's best we don't start another 5G/Volte thread so maybe laughterwym can reference this post in the first post of this thread.
Download EfsTools modded and extract.
Put the correct mcfg_sw.mbn in the EfsTools folder. Download the mcfg_autoselect_by_uim file and also put it in the EfsTools folder.
Flash the Volte module in Magisk (doesn't really matter wheter your mbn is in it, as long as it has the right system props and more important disables the qril stuff that) (Both this module and this module are working for me. You can also find the modded module I used here. I'n my modded module I set the 5G connection to NSA so use that one if your carrier doesn't support SA yet.
Connect your phone to your computer with usb debuggin on in your developer settings. Make sure you have both qualcomm drivers and google usb drivers and of course the latest platform tools (and add the dir to your system path).
Use the workaround we normaly use to connect our phone to qpst:
Code:
adb shell
su
resetprop ro.bootmode usbradio
resetprop ro.build.type userdebug
setprop sys.usb.config diag,diag_mdm,adb
diag_mdlog
cancel (ctrl+c) once it starts to "hang" at failed to open diag socket
change usb config (file transfer, no file transfer)
Open a command prompt in the extracted efstools folder
Run the following command
Code:
EfsTools.exe efsInfo
You will get errors because of the hacky workaround we have to do with Pixel phones to use them with efs software. In my case everything worked like a charm. You can check efs explorer after writing your mbn to see if it looks allright.
Run the following commands one by one:
Code:
EfsTools.exe writeFile -i mcfg_autoselect_by_uim -o /nv/item_files/mcfg/mcfg_autoselect_by_uim
EfsTools.exe writeFile -i mcfg_autoselect_by_uim -o /nv/item_files/mcfg/mcfg_autoselect_by_uim -s 1
EfsTools.exe uploadDirectory -i mcfg_sw.mbn -o / -v
EfsTools.exe uploadDirectory -i mcfg_sw.mbn -o / -s 1
The -s 1 options are there so we write configurations for the second sim slot.
Important note: If you have a carrier that uses NR-NSA you'll have to edit lte_feature_restrictions.xml in EFS explorer to get everything right. I've uploaded the file here. If your mcc isn't in the following list you'll have to add it;
Code:
<plmn_list name="dss_plmns" ns="global">
228-01 505-01 505-11 505-39 505-71 505-72 204-04 204-08 204-69 204-12 262-02 204-16 204-20 232-03 232-04 232-07
</plmn_list>
Your VoLTE, VoWiFi, ims settings and 5g should be working now! Some carriers have very short carrierpolicy.xml, mine only says dds is enabled. Keep that in mind when you use apps to monitor your connection. 5G is working on my phone but I see empty rat stuff. Currently I'm writing code for changing lte_faeture_ca.xml to add all the information other Carriers have on the phone. Once you start tweaking it's hard to stop right?
Please share your findings! I'll update this post when I remember something usefull so your feedback is very helpfull!

Ah thanks for sharing the mbn files and nice to hear it's working for you! Seems like the Nokia mbn is different from the one I used so new stuff to explore!
I've added your mbn collection to the google drive I'm revering to to stack everything in the same place.

Still not getting any 5G connections. On Google Fi using US Cellular towers and the map shows coverage in my area. On Proton rom with the Proton kernel. I'm in Illinois USA. Am I missing something?
EDIT: Nvm just did some research and I guess 5g is only supported by T-Mobile which sucks in my area. Bummer.

The download link showed "Not found".
Could you drop a google drive download link here ?

Just curious.. will this enable 5g C-band? N77/78 for instance?
The Pixel 4a 5g and the Pixel 5 have the hardware/modem to use N77/n78. However, only the Pixel 5 has received the necessary software update to enable it.
I'm dying to access this band, and the 500mb-1.0gig speeds it offers.
And I'm at a loss for how to enable the bands on the 4a5g.
I'm just curious, would flashing the updated radio.img do the trick? Or would your module help me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As of now, I can get 5g, but it's the lower bands.. a fast extension of the existing LTE network. I can download at around 100-150mbps on average, with random runs at over 200mbps.
However, with C-band going nationwide last week, I've got friends who are pulling 1gig speeds on their iphone 13's using C-band.
Considering that I use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop, fire stick, and smart TV... The difference between 100mbps and 1000mbps is quite noticable.
Thanks for your guidance.

[SOLVED] To port IMS Manager to KLTE

I want to port/build IMS Manager for getting VoLTE feature on klte (LineageOS 14.1) but there is no guide on XDA, YouTube or even on google search... There are even VoLTE patches for Mi, Moto and Yu devices. Please help me to build it as I don't even know where to start after getting sources... Thanks in advance! ?
Update:
Found VoLTE rom for S5 (snapdragon variants) https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-s7ux-pure-stock-t3505699
So you are aware IMS manager is that, a Manager, it doesn't effect your IMS functionality. Furthermore, LineageOS doesn't currently have native VoLTE functionality afaik. IMS manager is a samsung app for the samsung system, you'd better bug the Lineage Dev's for a tool for manipulating the IMS settings in LineageOS and more so bug them to implement VoLTE, however this comes at a risk as it can interfere with 911 Functionality and as such could pose libaility they wish to not deal with
Pls help him, I need VoLTE, too
If you need another similar to stock android 32 bit chip set ROM with ims manager, I could suggest you download wind7 ls 5016 firmware(snapdragon 210 with marshmallow). It might help you. Please try.

Bro you saw my above comment?
Have you made any progress on this? I've had a look at this in latest lineageos and on Galaxy s6. Though I think the basic idea is the same. The ImsManager is part of lineageos Rom. Though it needs a ims service. If that is not available even if you enable volte or WiFi calling over build.properties it will not work.
So to my (limited) knowledge, the first thing one would have to do is provide an implementation of that service. I think in Stock Galaxy s6 that is provided in imsservice.apk that comes in /system/priv-apps. I've attached the version of stock s6. Though I'm unable to use that since it's signature is not accepted and I'm neither able to decompile nor to resign /zipalign the package.
Any ideas? Or is this an all wrong way I'm following?

I didn't had to port IMS Manager to lineageos or any rom. And instead I tested the above specified rom, it's for SM-G900F but I flashed it on SM-G900W8 and SM-G900T. After flashing and booting up for the first time, I got VoLTE running on both devices without even changing a setting. Keep in mind that the rom have 3 bugs, SystemUI crashes when you get a notification from WhatsApp, You cannot disable the lockscreen, If you change lockscreen from swipe to something else and lock the screen, you won't be able to unlock the device. Then you'll need to factory reset/flash the rom again or have to manually remove lock using TWRP. I am switching to a different operator next week, I am tired of the battle for VoLTE. Hope it helps.

Whats working, whats not working...etc? You tell me! You fix something, you tell me! You found something, you tell me! Adb somehow is not working, you need to change ro.build.type from userdebug to eng and adb will start working. If you have idea about whats going on with adb, you tell me! Somehow managed to boot this rom, a lot of work and time I spent to get Oreo boot, got also credentials working but somehow camera is fail to work, probably we must use Snap camera instead of the Camera2? You can try snap camera and tell me. You can try other cameras too and tell me!

Heyho. I just tested building from @munjeni 's sources. Unfortunately TWRP throwed an error 6. I checked the updater script and found some strange lines. With them removed I was able to install and boot
I'm really up for doing some fixes, but for me it's learning by doing which can be a time intensive process.
BTW: USB transfer works by disabling ADB in developer options... I just copied the screenshots off the device.

Yes, adb works. But only if you revert this commit https://github.com/munjeni/android_device_sony_amami/commit/e0cde4386d51ad2b45d7700f495a85fdb75dc8d2.
Adb from the 8.0 tree seems to be broken, but maybe it's a problem with our devicetree.
Nevertheles, as Munjeni already did, replacing the adbd with a prebuilt one (I used one from an Android 7 tree i had lying around) works quite fine.
@munjeni : Is adb built from 8.0 source working for you? Or is it a permission problem?
Hey. I've got some news. Wifi was working for me. I just installed a new build and was able to connect
I can't test data connection - the sim reader is broken in my test device.
I think we should move ahead to lineage 15.1 (android 8.1) because support for lineage 15.0 was already dropped.
Unfortunately there are several build issues - let's see what the time brings.

[GSI] [treble] Android 9 pie Bluetooth in call problem

I am willing to pay up to 50$ if someone is able to fix this problem for the elephone u pro.
If there's someone else who wants to get the problem solved then please write here your payment offer.
But it would be a shame if people make an offer here and do not stick to it later.

1. You have to extract stock /vendor/etc/audio/audio_policy_configuration.xml and delete A2DP related section like this:
https://github.com/PixelExperience-...mmit/977444af69f10fc135d07e19f1e5f1183e73e9ff
then replace it (by root explorer or creating magisk module).
2. You also need to change /system/bin/rw-system.sh.
Please delete
Code:
mount -o bind /mnt/phh/empty_dir /vendor/etc/audio || true
and save.
NOTE: This works only on CAF based custom roms. It doesn't work on AOSP.

No, the fix needs device specific path and not all GSI has it.
I have the Razer Phone and have got either audio working or in call but never both... I am in the process of going through both audio routing files and see if I can combine them to get it to work, but I haven't messed with Android in years so it's taking more time than I anticipated to get caught up on all the changes you guys have made. The last time I built a rom was when treble was just on the discussion table. It really amazes me this bug has gone on this long, but maybe there's more to it than I'm seeing so far. I have seen some good devs working on this.
Enlighten me Please

Btw do you have any idea how to control the led colours?
i still have no bluetooth calling on Mi Mix 3 on the @AndroPlus rom's so his solution definitely doesn't work for all devices.
furthermore there is still a bounty to get bluetooth working perfectly on vanilla android gsi's

This module is only working for who have already setup the nfc-sim, cause the API reason the carriers application can't read nfc-sim so can't do first time setup.

Hmm I think you can ask Verizon, if I have nfc-sim what can I use !?
In Taiwan we use nfc-sim to replace EasyCard (Physical Card) to take public transport or convenience store payment. NFC-SIM is an old technology just for transition, we are waiting can use Google Pay or another payment to take public transport.

Hi, since payload dumper can work on Android 10 I can easily access to system partition to get files I needed, But in my research 5T (Android 9)、7 Pro、7T seems not config problem. For now I'm working on make 5T can use nfc-sim, if I have any progress or test file I will contact you, Thank You
Since the discontinuation of the poorly-named Isis Mobile Wallet (later renamed Softcard) in 2013 there are no active NFC-SIM services on any of the carriers in the United States. So, while your Verzion, AT&T, or T-Mobile SIM card may support NFC-SIM, there is no use for it. I am also not aware of any NFC-SIM services in Canada. So if you live in either of those areas this tweak isn't of any use.
What is the purpose for this module? I'm not sure why I would need it. What benefits would I get by installing this?
doesnt work with my 7 pro on OOS 10.3.0 for now (

[SOLVED] Help on Android 12 [GSI] Pixel Experience [Alpha] and TWRP

Hi, I did some experiments with the GSI PIXEL EXPERIENCE ALPHA that might interest some developers.
It works properly as is on nairo (moto g 5g plus) except for a few things.
- TWRP recovery gets broken, i think we need a newer version for this phone to work with android 12.
- The audio doesn't get routed in any way (i've tried with apps) to the aux output (headset).
I would take care of this problems if i had knowledge, if anyone can help it's welcome for sure, thanks in advance!

you cant send it to him but i didnt know mudule but can you share it with me
Sure! I've used nonsense notch to create an overlay at 240 pixel from the left of the statusbar, it doesn't work on landscape mode but it's fine for me.
Idk if it works by just inserting it in /system/product/overlay and unzipping it and then maybe installing the apk(?) (Mine it's in a folder that's why i made a zip file)
Overlays are really tricky, i recommend following the guide for the module instead of doing this.
After installation you can go to dev options and under simulate screen cutout you can choose the one you created *DO NOT CHOOSE THE STOCK OPTIONS ON ANDROID 12 THEY WILL SOFTLOCK YOUR PHONE*
I will create a guide on the fixes for gsi roms with your audio tweaks and this one, thank you again, let me know if you succeed!
Again, you shoudl really create one yourself on the custom mode of this module https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/module-n3o-no-nonsense-notch-overlay.4226413/
I created a guide to install everything https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...s-nairo-and-some-post-install-tweaks.4364963/
