Ordered a Samsung S20+ AT&T Locked, update on Cricket? - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

I am planning to take a AT&T locked SM-G986U to Cricket. My question is simple. How do I update the firmware?
My current LG G8 refuses to update and my understanding is I need an active AT&T simcard.
However, I found this: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...M-G986U1/ATT/download/G986U1UEU1DUB7/1491717/
I found out that SM-G986U1 firmware should work on SM-G986U.
Will that above firmware work on my incoming SM-G986U? Will it allow VoLTE? Has anyone tried this?
I need VoLTE on Cricket and I know the AT&T firmware allows for that. But the above firmware is for the U1 not the U(should be cross-compatible) and says it's the AT&T version.
Can anyone please confirm this? Thank you so much for any and all help, advice, or suggestions.
If anyone can or wants to try or test this I'd love to know the results.

yes it will work and you get updates from samsung

So using that above would get me VoLTE? WiFi Calling would be nice but I need VoLTE. Just still a bit confused, thanks for your answer and help.

i get both but i have a att phone on att and running the u1 firmware

Ok, yeah mine is an AT&T model and I'm not sure it'll arrive up to date. We'll have to wait and see. thanks!

Is v2 bootloader now available for firmware on g960u1 Galaxy S9 phones?

I have an unlocked S9 (G960U1), and recently downgraded to the Verizon Rom G960U so I can get carrier features like wifi calling and Video Voice. Now I am planning on using another carrier, but I want to return to the unlocked firmware. Can I do this now? I read an older thread saying that it wasn't possible until Samsung came with a v2 bootloader version of their unlocked firmware.
omg someone please reply to above question im in the same boat

How to Enable VoLTE on Galaxy S9?

Hello,
I have a Galaxy S9, Model: SCV38. Is there a way to enable VoLTE on the phone to be used for Indian carriers? If there is some other post discussion, do point out.
If the correct firmware is installed, then it'll work. If not, then you're out of luck.
You might be able to flash the carrier's firmware using Odin (I did that on my S9+ to get VoLTE working on EE UK, as the phone had generic firmware).

Flashing G960U software to G960W

Hi,
I'll be getting a Canadian S9 soon but i have no need for the device and i'll be sending it to my sister in the states (she is on AT&T). I want to know if i'm OK just flashing the latest version of the US firmware to the Canadian device? and what is the CSC of the unlocked version of AT&T in the states? Will she be able to update as usual after that and will Samsung pay work?
Thank you very much in advance.

if its rooted, its not a sprint device as none of the us market phones can be rooted. short answer is that you cant, even if you did flash firmware. I bet you have a 960F model which is gsm only and sprint uses cdma still for regular voice and text

Upgrade SM-N975U with ATT to Android 10

Hey guys, so my question is how can I upgrade my Note 10 plus to Android 10, I have the SM-N975U model with ATT, i live outside the US so the person who sold me the phone unlocked it, the thing is that I was checking the original firmware for this model in Sammobile but alm versions are from different carriers (Verizon, Xfinity, etc) I didn't find the one for ATT. Does this make a difference? which firmware should I download?
Just follow this thread. You can use T-Mobile or Verizon firmware. All the same but Just use Home CSC for no data loss. You will not find the AT&T firmware using Frija or Sammobile (or anywhere unless someone extracts it & posts).
Check this thread out.

Hi mate. I don't know if it's gonna help, but I live in UK and I had 975U too which was on Android 9.
System didn't allowed me to update it, probably cause it was on AT&T so I followed a tutorial on yt and updated it to 975U1 Android 10.
EDIT:
N975U and N975U1 Firmware Links Here
For those who aren't already aware, N975U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the Note 10+. The N975U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM unlocked and with no carrier bloatware. Firmware is 100%...
