No SIM after flashing custom ROM.. - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

My device note 10+ (SM-N976B) was on pie..
I updated it with stock ROM android 11& oneUI 3.1 but it is not accepting SIM card it says emergency calls only unable to make calls or do anything, although it detects the SIM because SIM tools application gets installed when I put SIM..
after that I flashed Dr Ketan's ROM too but problem persists..
My actual region is PAK (Pakistan) but it's CSC is AUT XEU previously when everything was fine it's CSC was vd2..
Please anyone help so that it can pick Pakistani networks...

Why didn't you ask it in Dr.keton's thread? Why a new one?
For your problem, did you check your IMEI ?

If it is in used condition, were the sims workings before flashing the rom? Also, I think you should clean flash everything again.
I think re-reading the doc's thread might be a good idea too since some issues have been reported and doc have solved them.

Your CSC is non PAK means your device was likely imported from other country, Pakistan don't allow to use imported device unless you pay tax. This procedure will change your IMEI. Unfortunately your contry have weird policy and resetting device wipe your changed IMEI to original and you will get blocked by operator and you have to pay again. I am not sure this is your govt policy or first time you have changed number was illegal way.
In any circustances, you needs to contact PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) for further assistance.
Next time, when you have questiom, post it to relevent forum. This is development forum and you can't post questions here. I am reporting to Mod to move this.

Thanks @dr.ketan for replying..
Yes you are right it's IMEI is changed because it is not matching with the box or phone back cover, but flashing did nothing with IMEI it was same when everything was fine & working with Vd2 CSC . I did factory reset several times everything was fine,(my current IMEI is also registered with PTA so no problem from there side) the problem occurs after flashing stock ROM downloaded from Sam mobile, then I tried your ROM too ,now everything is fine except SIM card problem, & model number is also changed from 976B to n975F.
is this the problem of AP file ? Or CSC ? What is the solution now... If possible then please help I'll be thankful to you.

If you are using my rom, it will show N975F bcoz it's common rom for both device
Also to note that, you must needs to apply Essential fix from rom Tool else you won't have network (this requires for N976B users)

I got a rooted GT-N7100 with different IMEI, no network

Preface: I'm old man and this is my first post feeling exhausted after reading topics I don't fully understand. Please bear with me.
My trusty old Note 2 has had some issues that made me to look for a replacement Note 2 (I spare you for the reasons why still Note 2). Few days ago I won an eBay auction and received an unlocked GT-N7100 supposed to be new.
The very first I did was install of Phone Info Samsung app. This app told my new phone was rooted and Firmware region was Hong Kong. I did a test phone call to my friend: OK, worked normal. Then I took several screenshots of Phone Info's reports, and did the same on my old Note 2 for comparison.
My main concern was to unroot this phone to ensure some for me essential apps would function on it after migration from my old Note 2. I followed online guide and successfully flashed with the H-K firmware N7100ZSUFNJ2. I understood this same region version was required but later I could flash firmware of my choice, the same Nordic I have on my old.
After reboot I tried to make phone call: Not registered on network. I thought first this problem appeared because of firmware and downloaded and flashed Nordic N7100XXSFQA1: the same network problem. The SIM card is the same I use on my old Note 2. More search led me to this possible solution: "How to fix not registered on network" (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745274)
Unfortunately flashing MODEM.tar.md5 didn't solve my problem. So far I had not paid attention to the different IMEI on the label vs dialing *#06# / displayed by Phone Info. This different IMEI was the same before my unrooting process. How come I could make phone call despite this error, it's beyond me?
Another issue on this new phone is that when S-Pen is inserted it claims pen is detached, and when pulled out the S-note won't appear. How come, can be solved?
Please experts, help me to solve this problem. I am ready to supply more info if required.

First thing I recommend is booting into download mode to confirm the model number. Download will show the actual model number.

Yes, I did successfully.
The latest ROM I see for Hong Kong is qa2: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note-/GT-N7100/TGY/download/N7100ZSSFQA2/126556/

I understood the firmware version should be the same in order to unroot successfully. Right now downloading the linked version. Thank so far.
After flashing with linked FW
So I downloaded the file you linked to. Here are screenshots of Phone INFO, on the left before any flashing, on the right after this latest. Need for any other screens?
The bootloader on the left is older at nj2 mixed with qa2. Weird that there is no CSC information.
The picture on the right is more consistently qa2.
The phone you purchased was definitely not new as the IMEI from the dialler should match the IMEI on the phone's printed label.
If flashing the latest firmware doesn't solve the calling issue, not sure what else to suggest other than trying firmware for a different country or a custom ROM.

You asked for CSC info, well here three screenshots. On the left my eBay Note 2 initially, the red in middle is my own Note 2, and on the right eBay after all flashing so far.
EDIT: I forgot to insert SIM on ebay Note2 before screenshot. When inserted the MobileOperator reads elisa / 24405. Interesting, the "24421" missing. Saunalahti was subsidiary of elisa, now merged to main company.
I've read that the differing IMEI issue can be cause if you flashed firmware that contains a lower version modem than what you already had. You can try flashing the latest bootloader and modem for this device with Odin (download in this post). Extract the .rar file and place the file starting with BL in the BL tab and CP in the CP tab in Odin.

The CSC changed to Hong Kong because that's what was in the rom you flashed.

What puzzles me is that this eBay Note before unrooting gave empty fields on Firmware's CSC Code and CSC Country. I'm here flashing the Nordic ROM back again.

After flashing a stock ROM, are you able to try other sim cards in the phone?
Search result on tampered IMEI
Curious as I am I tested the IMEI displayed by dialing *#06# on three databases. One couldn't tell, two others told this phone were Ericson A3618s. Wow!
On the other hand, Phone INFO's General claims this Note 2 were White while in reality Titanium grey.
Have you made any further progress?
Is it possible that the imei on the battery label has been blacklisted which is why the motherboard was programmed with another imei?
Try entering both imei numbers here: https://www.mobileincanada.com/

Thanks for caring about this problem still. The Canadian site looks more about unlocking. My previous post told about search result from http://www.imeipro.info/ stating the imei on label is clean. I just re-visited another database for second time http://www.imei.info and there I had to pay for Black list check which takes up to 48 hours.
BTW I have kept eye on eBay and wonder how Note 2s are flooding there... Although the seller won't accept returns I wrote request to return in hope eBay takes this as resolution... have to wait a couple of days before that process may start.

CSC Change is still possible?

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to check whether any working methods are around to change the CSC of a Note 10+
Couldn't find any guides apart from the ones which are in Note 9 Sections.
Any support on this is much appreciated!

Im also looking for a solution for this. SamKey's paid service is apparently supporting this but im unsure of the method their software uses and its a paid service. Users in Australia (like me) are having issues with RCS services through Telstra (TEL) because the Open Variant bought direct from Samsung not having the correct CSC. Some users have reported changing the CSC through SamKey successfully.
I have tried flashing with Telstra firmware but no luck.

I initially did *#272*IMEI# and was able to switch between CSC. When I switched to XAA, I was stuck and could not able to use the *#272*IMEI# anymore.. So I had XAA/XAA/ATT.. I saw many were stuck.
Found a solution that worked for me is as follows. Try at your own risk.
Downloaded the tool from
https://www.mysterious-dev.com/2020/05/changecsc-all-samsung-free-tool-android.html
and downloaded the ChangeCSC Software tool.. . watched the video couple of times.. The process lets you install custom THEME.. I was getting "Update" "Delete" and "Buy" ..
What did was
install another random theme
then went back to the program and clicked change CSC again
this time when I choose the custom theme pack, I saw the "Try now".. after that I followed the instruction to about phone->legal and clicked on CHANGE Carrier Android 10 and VOILA!!! I got that CSC change page.. I saw XAA was selected and I changed to TMB... after that "Sales& Network Code Change" and clicked ok.. .The phone restarted and saw the T-Mobile logo!!!!
I even tried the *#272*IMEI# and this time it worked and showed me the CSC screen!!!
Hope this helps anyone who is stuck...My phone now says TMB/TMB/ATT!!!

hmm.. don't recall if it wiped.. I had to do the CSC changing today and it simply rebooted and displayed the new CSC logo. It was with AT&T and when I change it to TMB. I get the T-Mobile boot logo.. I was able to get back in to the device without loosing any data.. The CSC showed TMB/TMB/TMB.. But I noticed the ringer/notifications sound still remained the AT&T settings. So to answer your initial question, my phone didn't get wiped out when switching the CSC.
Thx

I have found *some* Samsung models can still change CSC via firmware flash in Odin by following these pre requisites...
- disable find my phone
- sign out of Google and samsung accounts
- developer mode .... enable oem unlock
- flash a single CSC stock firmware in odin (do not use home-csc)
- phone will be completely wjped but after first boot and running setup, CSC will be change to match new firmware
Have any one tried

Emergency calls only. HELP!

Hello
I bought a used s9 a few months back. It had dual sim. In "about phone" it said G960F and was on android 9. A few days ago, I wanted to flash android 10 so I downloaded firmware for G960F, booted my phone in download mode and SURPRISE. The whole thing was in Korean and of course it was a G960N model. So I downloaded firmware for G960N this time and flashed it. Everything went perfect but when the phone booted up, It had no sim service.
I've tried everything I've found on the forums so far related to emergency calls only or no sim service.
Any kind of help would be appreciated. I have no sim service for 5 days now.
Things I've tried so far:
Flashing my phone again with android 9 stock firmware, which I can't do anymore as I've updated the bootloader lol.
Flashing custom roms
Changing csc from SKC to KOO
Flashing OXM CSC as I live in Pakistan
Flashing different modems and basebands
Nothing worked
Try flashing back a G960F android 10 firmware.

OK, let's go back to beginning: you've bought the used phone. 960F never was (as factory leaving) dual sim phone.
so, let's start from the beginning:
contact the seller and ask what the hell have you bought (if it was any variant of the S9 at all.. somehow I doubt it).
2nd: write down the IMEI and serial number, and check with Samsung if this configuration ever existed (if not, what I suppose, the IMEI/sn info about the REAL model can give you a hint what have you bought).
Having the above info in hands, find the "service firmware", 5 files ROM for your device and try to flash it.
If it will not work still, I'm afraid you have two options:
1. check IMEI against stolen devices with your carrier.
2. Go to Samsung service asking for help.
(if it was any variant of the S9 at all.. somehow I doubt it).

Well mostly it isn't a fake mediatek phone as it will not even have a download mode.
Probably he bought a shi**ily refurbished phone with it's internals mixed from multiple versions of the s9, in the best case.(a Frankenstein variant of the S9)

I'm going to solve this mystery for both of you. The phone he bought is indeed an S9. Here in Pakistan, 'software' guys in shops can convert these to dual sim models with some z3x and Chimera f*kery.
As for why his phone isn't working - it is because the phone had a tampered IMEI to bypass local custom charges levied on all imported phones (insane charges, doubles the price of these kinda phones). Once he flashed a new image on his phone, his IMEI status would have become NG instead of OK, which prevents the phone from accessing any networks.
Solution is to visit the same 'software' guys, ask them to 'patch' the phone. It is a 5 minute process, requires root (which these phones already have).

Any help will be highly appreciated...
Thanks,
Use Frija (or samfirm) to find and download the firmware. Following thread provides necessary info: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-25-feb-21-galaxy-note10-sm-n975f-ds.3957812/

Thank you.
But that's not the DS (Dual SIM) version
In Frija you can find N976N But when write /DS nothing
As far as i 'm aware the single sim and dual sim are the same firmware and has been for a long time.
I know the thread is for another phone type. Just use it to help yourself to download Frija. Frija allows you to download from Samsung servers. Type in the correct information in Frija to select and download the latest firmware for your specific device. Use Odin to flash it onto your N976N.

I have not had a phone with the imei status as NG. ( *#0011# - service mode ). Usually means that the EFS partition is corrupted.
The only methods i've seen to change this state is to root your phone and use something like chimera or z3x.
Or take it to a repair shop to see if they can fix it.

I paid 2 different man. But they couldn't achieve.
Main problem: I lost 2nd IMEI. It only shows one now.
My model was SM-N976N/DS but I installed SM-N976N rom.
Lost one IMEI. other was not working. I achieved to fix it. Now works.
And I installed a Dual SIM rom also SM-N976B/DS. (Mine is originally N796N. But couldn't find)
But no luck...

Loose signal N976N

Hello, Hope all are well.
My device Note 10+ 5g, Model N976N, (Carrier_ID: KOO)
I cant get Signal from SIM, The device did not recognize the SIM cards.
A technician make software for the device, and, in About phone, I can see the Model number(SM-N975F).. I've make some software chages/flashes and the device was corrupted.
A technician make software and, in About phone, I can see the Model number(SM-N976B/DS).. I got the signal for one time then loose it.
What is ur advice?
Can I flash N976Q with (KSA or XSG - Arabic country code) ? Still have Arabic Language and Signal in 2-SIMs ?
Thanks in advance.
Hello mohgaza,
To me it is a bit hard to understand your problem.
has your sim card ever worked
If so: what happened / what did you do that caused the problem
please try to improve your question.
You also state two different model numbers in your question. Why is that? What technician are you talking about?

This could be a loose contact or some working configuration between a lot of nonworking ones or something completely different. What country do you want to use your phone in? The choice of the modem file should usually depend on that.
Hello, I'll clarify:
SIM cards worked for less than an hour, JUST restarted and lost SIM signals.
Technician was trying to resolve the problem.
Worked well on n975f, BUT I flashed other firmware by mistake,
Then I went back to the technician and he tried n976b.
My carrier is Israel / Palestine, and I want to activate the 2-SIMs
So If the N975F Version works well, why don't you flash it?

It seems because I've flashed the most latest, and cant DOWNGRADE ..
that is becuase the phone has a patched IMEI try searching auto patch roms and install it will help you. or take it a better phone technician who has proper flashing boxes like Chimera it will patch the imei.
