MIUI 12.0.7 Released - Redmi Note 9 Guides, News, & Discussion

Unofficial Changelog:
1)The gray Control Center is here to stay
2)A month old security patch
3)The gesture pill is straight up ditched
4)Even more bloatware

I also noticed the inability to change between the new and old control center, mi support tells me it has been done due to performance related issues. There is a way to getting split screen back with its gesture in the settings but couldn't find a similar workaround to floating apps. Camera is ever so slightly faster that's the only positive I could think of so I just downgraded to 12.0.3

With the help of a custom recovery or with MI flash tool? Mine flashed the previous global rom fine using the latter aside from getting a checkpoint error, doesn't seem to have any real impact on the phone.

Which one is better? Xiaomi eu stable or official global stable.?

I ve just managed to Unlock my bootloader officially. And l 'm wondering about which rom is better in order to flash.... Is xiaomi eu stable rom better or official global stable? The first one is based on official Chinese, I know that. But am trying to find the best for my 6/128gb
Global stable
IMHO

For 6/128
It would have to be EU ROM
I've moved from 6/128 to 4/64
So I can get rid of ROM anxiety
Buy global hardware

u get newer stuffs on EU rom i think since it's based on china rom.
Eu is better. You can also root without issues if you choose. It also updates more frequently. Global literally has turned into a bandwagon rom. Just read for yourself.
I know that rooting is effecting the fingerprint. Is that soor?

In the xiaomi eu description says that if you want you can flash the twrp and the root at the same time but root is lagging a bit the fingerprint scanner functionality.

Just root via Magisk. It works fine and doesn't lag or interfere with the fingerprint reader whatsoever.
Still wondering who the hell makes up this kind of nonsense .

If you see the xiaomi eu stable subject and especially the installation description you will see that when they say about twrp install they have a warning about root via magisk.

All I can tell you is that pretty much everyone in this XDA sub-forum is running this setup, and has been since pretty much device launch.
It works fine.

You download the latest official ROM for your region from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com or the official MIUI site, unpack it, get Google SDK Platform-Tools (for ADB & Fastboot), and either use Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool, or use the script-files themselves from the ROM-folder.
Also be careful, because any disruption of the Flashing-process can hardbrick your phone.
the safest options would be to
Option 1)
Flash the stock rom without locking bootloader
Boot device
Boot back to fastboot
Lock bootloader
Option 2)
Use mi flash tool
Use clean all option
Boot device
Boot back to fastboot
Use clean all and lock
I've done the above and gone back to stock.
I'm currently happy with almost everything.
I have an issue with my Google maps timeline, in that I don't have any.
I'm thinking it might be something I did in my Google account.
Would anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Bootloop with standard ROM and working with custom

Hi there,
today I installed PixelExperience then ProjectElixir on my MI 10T Pro with no issues.
I basically just had to try it then I wanted to get back to the default OS but I'm unable to do it.
I tried to use Xiaomi Mi Tool v2 too and everything seems working correctly but when the system tries to boot it is stuck, bootlooping.
Then I tried again to flash TWRP 3.4.0.1 and flash a custom ROM (i.e. Pixel Experience) and it works.
Seems I'm having the problem only while flashing the factory OS; how is that possible? How can I dig deeper into the issue?
Thanks

You can flash stock rom using the official MiFlash tool using the fastboot rom or using twrp recovery rom but you'll need to FORMAT DATA due to different encryption. I'm using this twrp and works fine - https://dl.akr-developers.com/?file=skkk/TWRP/A12/v6.3_A12/[REC_BOOT]3.6.2_12-RedmiK30SUltra-Mi10T[Pro]_v6.3_A12-apollo-skkk_dc4ecad7.zip

Anyway, using the fastboot version of the official ROM (with the bat script flash_all.bat) worked correctly, even if it took quite a while to download.

Question Upgrading from V13.0.9.0.SKWEUXM to V14.0.3.0.TKWMIXM

Hi all,
I'm considering upgrading my device's original ROM (V13.0.9.0.SKWEUXM) to the latest ROM (V14.0.3.0.TKWMIXM). I have already unlocked the bootloader on my device. Can anyone tell me what my options are for installing this new ROM? Additionally, is it safe to perform this upgrade procedure?
Thanks in advance for your help!

You must first use Mi Flash to upgrade from EEA to Global using a Fastboot rom.
V13.0.7.0.SKWMIXM.(TGZ).
Then check if the updater offers you the V14.0.3.0.TKWMIXM (Beta Stable) or download it and try to install it with the updater (3 points at the top right).

Just like unlocking the bootloader, using Miflash erases your data and formatting the data remains mandatory for a version change.

Question Fingerprint Issue on Xiaomi 13 Pro

Hey everyone.
I recently purchased a Xiaomi 13 Pro from China and decided to install the latest stable ROM (xiaomi.eu_multi_NUWA_V14.0.26.0.TMBCNXM) via Fastboot. However, I encountered a frustrating issue after booting up the smartphone and setting it up – the fingerprint sensor does not detect my finger, preventing me from adding it as a method of unlocking. I have the same problem with EU stock ROM (14.0.22.0.TMBEUXM). It's worth mentioning that this feature worked perfectly fine with the China stock ROM. I have already unlocked the bootloader.
Has anyone else faced a similar problem where the fingerprint sensor fails to detect the finger on a Xiaomi 13 Pro with a stock or custom ROM? If so, I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this matter. Your help would be invaluable.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Edit: The phone was bricked and I had to take it to tech support for repair via EDL two weeks ago. They reinstalled the Chinese ROM and when I changed the ROM to the Xiaomi.eu ROM, the fingerprint sensor not working. Before all this it was working with the Xiaomi.eu ROM. I add the ADB Logcat file when I try to add the fingerprint unlock. ADB Logcat file

You should have said it earlier, the problem is probably due to the repair. Wait to see what Xiaomi's DEV has to say in relation to the log.
