Obviously it uses Google, but did I send $ 80 to the first page I find without trusting it? When can I ask experienced people and they recommend a reliable one? What attitude do you have?

If you read, you realize that I do not meet these requirements, but your desire to stand out clouds your vision

You didn't specify if your device is US variant or not, you just said I'm not in US and bought something from ebay. And I don't care if you met the requirements or not I lead you there and you do the rest. Also the guy is doing it for free no money involved.
Anyway, unless you meet the requirements stated in here you can't unlock it the normal way, to unlock it you'll need to flash a stock international ROM.
This method is not recommended as it may not work and you'll just waste your time, really. Also you may have to download and flash multiple ROMs until you find the correct one that works for you.
Back then you'd flash a metropcs ROM, unlock, then flash back. But that's back then. Don't know if this still work, or if it works for someone out of the US.
Desire to stand out? Cringe. Who am I standing out for? I'm honestly trying to help but I hate people who don't want to be helped but want to be mouth fed.

I know there was someone who had unlock tokens idk if they are still doing it tho look threw the thread

oh, i have the same question
UK residents should be aware that it is a criminal offence to change the IMEI number of a phone and if you are found doing it for other people you can get upto five years.
I love it when instead of answering peoples questions with an actual answer, someone feels the need to tell you how bad/illegal/wrong, it is to do what your doing. But then when you go back and look at older threads, or even on other forums, you see that same person asking the same question you asked, a year or two earlier. But once they know the answering, they tell everyone else not to do it, not to ask, and they can go to jail, blah blah blah. Unreal. Its sad when certain forums are 30% legitimate questions, and 60% "troll answers", and 10% real answers. It sucks when you have to go through reading 3 days worth of bull**** to get the answer to a question that is fairly basic, and in the old days would have been answered, and if there was no known answer, everyone would have worked TOGETHER to find one. Those days are obviously long gone, as everyone is more interested in "getting mine", and making, or think theyre going to make, that whopping $10 charge to give you that answer or do that service for you. Even though its "illegal". Ya its illegal, until you pay them, then legality all of a sudden is no longer an issue. Funny how that works right?
I would think XDA would be the place where "Devs" come up with solutions without judging! This is the whole idea of places like this. Where we do things we want to do with our devices. It can be getting rid of malware, junkware. Developing awesome skins, ROMs, apps. We circumvent operator practices to stifle our beautiful hardwares so why not develop easier ways to stop the government from blocking our freedom to use/buy devices and use them freely on any network!

[Q] first timer rom, and problems

I used Rom manager with DamageControlv3.1.2-deodexed.
Took forever to reboot, and had to shut down to finally reboot.
Many processes are stopping unexpectedly, I have no phone dial pad.
what next ??

hmmmmmmm, you start off your thread with a "q" and i can only assume it stands for question. In the evo section we have a section called Q+A....
No offense to the op, but i wish they gave an aptitude test before selling a smartphone. Or at least XDA should implement one before allowing registration?
But to answer your question, just reflash the rom, or another. the rom your using is pretty ancient anyways. Try virus or the new two point two rom. Either is excellent. If you want aosp, go cyan.

Alot of times when you flash a rom it takes a few minutes to initially boot up after you flash. Next time let it sit for like up to 7-10 minutes and see what happens. You might think its locked up or whatever, but its really building the cache and getting things ready for you.
Sorry these other kids has to act like idiots. Seems they all think they are moderators....just ignore the trolls and you will be ok.

And not sharing either. Jerk. [emoji35]
On a more serious note...About once every week or two we seem to get one of these threads claiming there's been an official release. Why? Are some people's lives so boring that they get some sort of amusement out of it? It's real quick and easy to verify, so it's not like anybody ever falls for it. I don't get people....

[Q] Has anyone tried this root method?

I came across this when searching for G4 root. https://www.androidroot.us.com/how-to-root-lg-g4/
Has anyone tried this? If not, is there any harm in giving it a shot?
Spam. You'll see root here on XDA before some news article.
Pretty sure that app will tell you the device is not supported once you installed it and all of its malware. I would recommend to run that app in a VM environment and prepare to delete it.
I wouldn't even try it. There is no root for the G4 yet.
Thanks for the advice. I assumed that I'd see it here first when it happened.

Lame. Funny because it says it RIGHT on their front website that it has root. Marketing scheme.
Paid by the click. Genius I say. Lol

Best advice is stick with xda as they are the number 1 trusted site on my list i check the post and google everyday, so far no root. To let u know you may hear or read that there is a root method by jcase. But its not out because he and whoever is a dev working on root is making it safe for us so we dont brick our phones easy. It is really hard as i used to root the old way and boy it was a pain on the htc evo 4g. Just keep checking xda and later u will see root

Question SIM unlock

Is there a way to SIM unlock the at&t pixel 6 pro on here? Other than the obvious "pay the balance off"?
If there is, you can probably find the answer in one of the search results for AT&T in the title of a thread in this section.

I honestly don't see that from my end. This new layout is confusing AF. But I haven't been on xda in a long time until recently.

Close to the upper right corner of the browser window. I understand. It's different. And yes, the app is way different, and almost every time on mobile I access XDA in Chrome too, and if necessary, in Desktop mode.
Thank you for your help, in the mean time I reached out to unlock base and they said this after failing to get an unlock code:
So I tried this method, and it works for at&t variant. But.... If I reset the phone, with my T-Mobile SIM inserted, it reverts back to locked with SIM error. Is there a way to make this permanent so I can reset if needed?

Please don't ask the same question in two different threads, especially so close together, but should always be avoided with only a rare exception. Other post -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/pixel-6-sim-unlock-workaround.4397465/post-86425807

Sorry about that, I already had this thread going first. Then posted on another found in the search per your request.
That's a pretty common situation to be in. Luckily, there are a few alternatives to consider. One option is to use an unlocking service. There are some pretty affordable unlocking services out there that can help you out. One that I've heard good things about is https://bestphoneunlock.com/unlockriver/ . They've got a solid reputation and offer unlocks for a wide range of devices, including the Pixel 6 Pro. Of course, you'll want to do your own research and make sure you're comfortable with any unlocking service before you hand over your hard-earned cash. But hey, it's worth a shot if you're looking to save some dough and get your Pixel 6 Pro unlocked.
