EDIT 8/8/2022: This will probably wipe out your phone call capability. I didn't make a backup of some partitions so now it can't make any phone calls, although LTE data works fine. I spent few hours trying going back to stock US version Oreo but that did not fix my phone call issue. Whenever I try to call, it cancels the call showing "Call ended" immediately. Once you extract the zip file, I installed "LGUP_Store_Frame_Ver_1_14_3.msi" and then also ran "SetDev.bat" as Admin to get it working. To run it as admin, right click on it, then click "Run as administrator".
Afterwards, you just double click "LGUPD.exe". You don't have to run this one as admin. The other one (LGUPU.exe) is a more simple version that doesn't have the advanced option, so don't use that.
Power off your phone. Hold the "volume +" button (it's the one on the upper of the two) and plug in the USB cable. Your phone should almost immediately go to Download mode. You can let go of the "volume +" button now. On the LGUP, you should see the following screen. At first, select "PARTITION DL" and then "Start". Select all of the details. I tried leaving the modems but after done it was causing errors so I had to redo this step.
Once done flashing, I actually went ahead and did another flashing, this time I selected the same image and did "REFURBISH" mode to make sure it's flashed correctly. Once done, the phone rebooted and I was greeted with Korean language welcome screen, where you can change the language.
I'm a Korean so I'm comfy with Korean showing up once in a while but I prefer keeping everything in English.
After all this, I'm really liking this version. There is a default stock black theme which is really nice. You don't have to download one Theme Store or whatever that was.
The camera works fine, and there is an obnoxiously loud camera shutter sound but I'm fine with that.
Dialer will show Korean characters under the numbers along with alphabets. You can enable automatically record all calls. There are also several other areas where it'll remind you that this is a Korean OS, so if you hate seeing foreign characters here and there, it's probably not for you.
Phone calls are working fine, LTE is working fine. Not sure if VoLTE is working or not.
There is no Wifi-call. I guess in Korea wifi call is not needed as there are good cellular signals everywhere.
LG Pay is installed, but it won't work because I have a SIM from U.S. Installing Google Pay, I was able to add a credit card for NFC payment, so I think that works too.
Keeping it in Airplane mode and rebooting, you still get the nag screen about Airplane mode.
Not sure what else doesn't work.
(update in 2022/8/6. I used a Korean SIM while visiting Korea on this phone. Once I came back to U.S. tried using a U.S. SIM. Data worked fine but all phone calls would not work. Not sure if there's some issue with my SIM - ATT based Tracfone or something else.)

@cloud1250000 guide is awesome. Stock app video recording produces corrupted files (video data is there, but corrupted, need to use this https://github.com/anthwlock/untrunc to get videos back). Other than that the Korean Q works better than both Pie (which sucks on this phone) and Oreo (which works better than Pie).

After installing LGUP you need to run SetDev.bat

Yes and it never starts out in full view, its always in a small viewing mode and after I've selected my handset it fails to open.

I was browsing the Verizon forum and came across a thread about disabling KNOX and OTA. I can't leave the base here for a few hours, so i figured I'd make a friendly tutorial. I have edited the script with some extra packages for KNOX that was listed in the comment. I will also explain how to edit the script to disable packages that you want. I not a programmer or anything. Since everyone uses a different combination of apps I will just explain how to disable the ones you don't want. Of course you will ADB set up for your phone, and USB debugging enabled on your phone. Disabling the package will remove the icon from your phone. It is not uninstalled, just disabled.
How to disable KNOX and the OTA:
1. Simply Download This file
2. Run script as administrator

Tool I used to identify the package - FX file browser
Folders I looked in to locate the packages/apps
\system\app
\system\priv-app
In these folders I looked at the the files and saw that they were ENABLED. After block command they were no longer ENABLED. I also saw active applications disappear from the Application manager.

ATTEMPT THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
My PC is windows 7 pro.
1. PC: download and install Samsung Android USB Drivers
2. NOTE4 : go to developer settings and turn on usb debugging
3. PC/NOTE4: connect phone to PC and unlock (screen lock). Set to MTP for USB connection settings
4. download and install 15sec ADB/FASTBOOT
5. Open command prompt as administrator
6. type "ADB devices" enter
7. you should see response "List of devices attached" and next line with ID and device
8. If you see the device listed then copy and past the commands from the excel spread sheet. You can do this individually for confirmation or you can copy the whole column and let it do it's thing.
Every item on the spreadsheet I did on my phone and confirmed that it's off. I've been using it for couple of days and had no errors or force close of any apps.

com.samsung.sdm should be the one. I just looked it up
I blocked this package as well. The icon is same as the ATT software updater.

When I go into app info for the updater I saw "com.ws.dm", but I wonder if it does anything else. Has anyone seen any problems after disabling it?

Can you Disable the Gear VR service and shell without any issues? It's frequently on the top of my Android System battery usage, which leads me to believe it's running down my battery a bit. I won't ever own a Gear anyway.
This is awesome; I can tell a lot of the stuff was disabled just b/c they stopped greenifying when I run auto-hibernate, like the android email and exchange services. Anyone know what the quick connect path is? I've been looking and can't find it, it seems to always be running on me in the background (even though I have it off).
For the life of me I can't get adb to work for this thing.
I've got the newest drivers, USB debugging on. My computer doesn't prompt me to allow anything when I connect though.
Anybody wanna help this dumdum?

Did you check app drawer to see if Evernote is gone? Because the package for Evernote is "com.evernote" when I look at the detail of the APK.

yes, normally its an installed app, but the nk3 update forced evernote on us and was not able to be disabled. I already use a note program that syncs with my gf's phone and our other devices and computers. so I didn't really want another. plus I was a bit deterred by the permissions needed by evernote.

I am not quite sure, however, this was another thing that was forced on us in the nk3 update. looking at the permissions, it seems like its some kind of knox/carrier iq/logging and reporting app.
I can update my post (later) if I do or do not experience issues with disabling the IMS stuff. but so far, so good..

I think you should change the filename to something that doesn't include "d8xx" i almost thought the rom is just for d802 but it includes all vairants and also could you add a translation of aroma to english .(if it's just THAT(aroma) in chinese not the rom XD).
i'm sure everyone will appreciate that

At first i thought the performance would be dull because of good appearance but the rom does maintain them both
didn't measure the full battery life but it's better than the stock one's for sure
The sound is pretty low though.(count as a bug ..my speakers are good )
no problem in connectivity the gps is good

I had the same problem while installing..
I restarted the phone by long pressing the power button(10sec). And then it worked fine after reboot .
I did that on a vs980 though you could try .

because it needs lollipop bootloader. So flash CAF.

Hi, i'm install the rom last day. Device D802TR, stock rom lollipop.
I'm applying root very difficult because first time root my device. Not worked "One Click Root" method. How did i do. Found the how make root and twrp method, using step by step this;
1- Install lg drivers for pc,
and device mount pc usb debugging. OneClickRecovery extract the " C:\1>"
opened the one click recovery folder the cmd.exe
2 -
- C:\1> adb.exe devices -> results my device
- C:\1> adb.exe push busybox /data/local/tmp/ && adb.exe push lg_root.sh /data/local/tmp && adb.exe push UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /data/local/tmp
- Unplug usb cable and close phone. Volume Up button press after plug the usb cable
open the phone download mode, and back to cmd screen.
- C:\1> Ports.bat -> device mount com port view.
- C:\1> SendCommand.exe \\.\COM7 (my device com7 port)
- # sh /data/local/tmp/lg_root.sh dummy 1 /data/local/tmp/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /data/local/tmp/busybox
- unplug usb cable and long press power button.Restarting phone and screen message
"upgrading Android" and after 5-10 second showing lg logo screen.
.. And open the phone, install root checker the play store. Open app check,operation succesfully,
my phone is now root.
3 - Install twrp official app, RebootRecovery(qbanin) in phone.
Copying files (caf bootstack, flyme rom, opengapps nano) in device download folder.
twrp application run and agree. And run RebootRecovery application, reboot the device open twrp.
Backup system,data,modem etc. (Making a NANDroid Backup). Reboot and exit twrp(because copying backup files the pc).
Install "root browser" the play store. Copy the files my pc.
again reboot recovery app, device open twrp.
Wipe -> advanced wipe (only dont select internal storage). Back the main menu.
Install -> flymeos file swipe the flash (flashing time maybe less 1.5 minute)
(Note: I did for the first time, i did not add other files. Because i'm beginner.)
Finally finished file flash and show the flymeos installation application.
Language is chinese, only click right bottom text, after again chinese words (me not understand chinese language,
very scary my face), other phone install translate application and take photo translate chinese words,
after a while I saw it for the first time english words.
This sentence "Save log file" and click show chinese text and little chinese word,click word.
This will not happen, and found youtube video.
Watc the video, I'm on the right path. Interesting for me.
Again click bottom right and show the list. Click top words, begin the installation.
install finish and reboot press. Reboot device showing lg logo and show flymeos boot animation.
As for me wait 6-7 minute. And me thinking not opening system, little scary. Because not install caf boostacks file
and opengapps file. But; And the system opening on.
Language selection screen, select lang, finally words I know. Click next,next etc. Start connected without a question.
Close gsm internet connection, select wifi and password (no my language keyboard, CZ and EN, but not found "I, ı").
Continue the installlation and final.
Show Lock Screen, slide the open.Tap to settings (Insist on using chinese applications, of course meizu account).
Anyway do not write more...
Once again install Flymeos. And add file flashing time, rom, gapps, supersu (but not install supersu).

while I'm not Japanese, I do find these articles somewhat annoying as they sort of paint a negative image of Japanese people in general. yeah, of course there are perverts in Japan that do this, but as many as there are Japanese perverts, there are that many if not more in other countries as well.

Idont think so ,These 2 versions should be different hardware scales

Yeah. It's a first world problem. When I try to take a picture of my kids while they're asleep the shutter awakens them. There are several camera apps in the store (s) that don't make the shutter sound if you're interested.
I'm thankful for the sound tbh. People at times try to record my kids on the trains( Japanese with natural blonde hair) usually I just tell them to stop and they do.
My kids aren't a tourist attraction for your amusement...

I tried this method on my 6 pro and it's stuck in a bootloop! can anyone help me?
I tried to reinstall the stock rom again but fastboot is as far as I can get. I can't boot into fastbootd to complete the flashing process.
I still have the original devinfo.img and I don't know how to restore it using fastboot. I tried fastboot flash devinfo devinfo.img but I get file size error.
please help

Try the Official Google Android Flash Tool (OEM Unlocking needs to be toggled on - you may not have to manually unlock the bootloader - the "site" will do that on its own). You may have to choose the option to Force Flash All Partitions, which will also wipe your phone.

I would pursue the warranty possibility ASAP, if you can. Then, if they let you RMA it, use the flash tool once more, but this time check the box for both Wipe and for Re-lock the Bootloader.

This partition is record of hardware information
So I think you did something wrong while modifying this partition
You can post the information about the failure when you flash the system partition
To facilitate better analysis of the reasons
In addition, if you stay on the google logo interface all the time,
you can check whether the computer system device currently has an adb or fastboot connection to confirm where the device boot stays.

[SOLVED] Bricked my Pixel 6 Pro
Hello, Today I messed up, I tried to change my Pixel 6 Pro's model from US version to global, so I edit the devinfo.img and pushed it successfully using adb, the same steps shared in some articles on xda. Now it won't boot again, it's stuck on...

Yesterday my X80 Pro (Origin OS) arrived and I was about to tweak the recommended settings for Origin OS (like notifications, and so on). When I started to remove bloatware I ran into the following issue:
Whenever I connect my device to the PC adbappcontrol recognizes the device and registers an USB Plug-In Event in the console. But 1 second later there's a log that states that the device disconnected.

I was somehow able to already remove vivo.pem and a small amount of other unneccessary bloatware but I'm still not able to remove something like the V-Appstore and other bloatware because my device keeps disconnecting. Apparently I'm not the first person to run into this issue as I stumbled upon this thread on the Android StackExchange where various things are suggested such as using an USB2.0 instead of an USB3.0 port. So far none of the options that were mentioned in that thread worked for me.
After some further research I found that there is an app called LADB (which probably is known here as it is developed by a user of the forum) that provides a local ADB shell so that I don't need to connect the device to the PC but can run the neccessary remove commands straight from the phone. After getting the app installed I wanted to start but in all videos of LADB, wireless debugging mode is used for LADB which requires the developer options screen to run in split screen mode. After enabling "Force the size adjustment of activities" however, I'm still not able to launch the developer options in split screen mode. I just get the message that split screen is not supported for the settings app. Strangely the same pop-up appears for other apps as well like Instagram, etc. which should be forced to open in split screen mode after enabling the previously mentioned developer-setting.
Is there anyone else that has run into similar issues or someone who could help me solve this issue? I'm completely new to using ADB, so perhaps there's also things that I just don't know how to do properly which could lead to an issue? Any help is really appreciated!!
UPDATE:
After fiddling around a bit I was able to connect my device to the Windows CMD for Wireless Debugging. However, it seems I'm not able to uninstall packages with a regular command like this:
$ pm uninstall --user 0 com.vivo.voicewakeup

On StackOverflow I found a thread where this topic was discussed as well. However, people were not on the same page whether --user 0 refers to the main android user or to root (to which we don't have access on the X80 Pro as far as I'm concerned?).
(you can't delete uid 1000 apps with such method)
With new protection vivo.uninstall.compatibility.not_adbUninstall it's become impossible to delete or disable Jovi app with ADB on my Vivo Y31 android 12.

Having same issue with x90 pro plus, can't remove certain apps via ADB. Tried your method but it doesn't work. Can you suggest anything to remove bloatware on x90 pro plus?

I suppose that on x90 pro plus framework.jar it's different. So service package isn't 134

I want to try this on x90 pro plus . im not the greatest ever regarding adb. should the older apk be copied in the phone ? and what (withou vivo.uninstall.compatibility.not_adbUninstall in manifest) should exactly mean ?i downloaded for test an older apk of some chinese app that i wanna get rid off . I really want to delete chinese useless apps but sadly i cant even manage to disable them . thanks and sorry for the newbie question

Unfortunately I sold my x90 pro plus because the Chinese bloatware was too annoying. If you find a way to remove all Chinese bloatware, I will buy the x90 pro plus again

If completely debloated , this phone is everything i ever wished . What a beast of a phone . I even like Origin OS compared to MIUI for example .

This thread is for those who don't want to unlock the device's bootloader, download any custom rom or take the risk to brick their device. I am going to use the STOCK MIUI FIRMWARE. I am not going to root the device or anything like this. Just relax and read ALL the thread.
1. Download the ADB AppControl: (PC)

With this programm we are going to debloat our device (remove all xiaomi bloatware) and do some additional tweaks on device.
The programm is not mine, the developer name is Cyber.Cat, so many congratulations to him for making this excellent programm. Please support the project!
2. Download xiaomi official usb drivers: (PC)

To install the drivers, you to follow some steps:
i. Extract the Xiaomi Official Usb Drivers.zip fileii. You have to find the Xiaomi Official Usb Drivers.exe file and run it.iii. Fisrt you will see:

3. Now you have to enbale USB debugging on your tablet: (Tablet)
i. Press the button until you become a developer.
ii. Go and enable USB debugging and Install via USB to install AppControl.
4. Install ADB AppControl in your computer. After that, open the application and a pop notification will ask you if you want to install ACBrigde in your tablet. With ACBridge you can see the icons of your tablet's application, this will help us in the device debloat.
- If you have done everything correctly you will have like this home page:
5. Now let's remove all xioami debloat files.
i. The list which contained all the applications that is safe to debloat (disable) them is:- Safe but disable not working:

7. A last tweak is to increase the miui animation smoothness:
- Go back to ADB AppControl -> Console and at adb type: adb shell settings put system slider_animation_duration 650 (if you want to go back at stock value, type: adb shell settings put system slider_animation_duration 450)
8. Well done mate you completed all the steps. Now enjoy your new Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet.

Watch out, mi.wallpaper is in the list you provided. It will lead to a black lockscreen and wallpaper and not being able to set a picture. I re-enabled it and everything is fine now.

Honestly I don't feel much of a difference. Sometimes the lock / unlock sound is the Android default one instead of the MIUI one... And my bluetooth devices list took a very long time to display but I'm not sure it was related.
It may feel snappier overall but given the tablet is already pretty fast, I think it's a kind of placebo effect.

What does this do ? Why down the pixel ?
Don't it will not hurm your device, I promise that. You don't downgrade the pixels because there are standard (it is the resolution of the screen). With changing this setting is like change change the size of the fonts in your device but you don't only make the fonts size smaller, you make icons apps etc. With that you gain a lot of space in your tablet screen.

Basically it is like increasing resolution on Windows, it is a software tweak.
Apps would think you have a bigger screen so they can display more. However the physical screen size has not changed so everything displayed is shrunken. You would have to increase text size to compensate.
Some prefer such setting as it displays more "clearly". It is up to you to decide.
You can also use adb shell to do the same thing.
This app is simply a GUI of adb shell, like all Android tweaking apps.
Saves you the time to search for commands.

I assume ubl means unlock bootloader.
I suggest you write more clearly so more people understand what you mean so they can help you fix the issue.
Xiaomi has built in themes app and you can choose apply only part of the theme. I applied parts of AOSP-like themes to the system (which includes nav bar if you use it) and they work together to give an AOSP-like experiene if you do not want to take the risk of unlocking your bootloader.
As time passes the tablet gets cheaper. Xiaomi would stop updates and more people will develop third-party roms. Official roms usually are most stable for your device.

im sorry, im going blind with this kind of tech stuff.. so im sorry.
and yes, i do have themes app on my device, but it doesnt show up, it says my region doesn't support themes.
and if im using another launcher, its gonna use navigation button, not gesture.
is there any ways to get themes on xiaomi pad 5 global rom officially without root and unlock bootloader?

You should try changing your region in settings. Try China mainland. That is what I tried to get aosp-like themes. Search for words like material you and fiddle through those themes. They can make it seem awfully close to AOSP with lock screen and all.
I made mi pad 5 go like a rocket with a simple tweak. Disabled expandable memory and now i have 3GB free RAM instead of 1GB and everything is faster.

Yeah I see. That uses your storage so it wears out quicker and storage is also slower. Ticked off mine too.

im already change it to hongkong, but the themes still doesnt show up
