I unlocked my BL and after that when I reboot my phone with volume up pressing nothing happens. Why? what should I do ?
To enter fastboot mode you don't need to reboot, simply press Volume + and plug it onto the PC while the device is POWER OFF , it should indicate the fastboot mode with a blue LED

Download Odin v3.13.3
https://dl2018.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.13.3.zip
Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 5 files:
AP (System &Recovery)
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem / Radio)
CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)
HOME_CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)
Add each file to it's respective field in Odin v3.13.3. Use CSC_*** if you want to do a clean flash or HOME_CSC_*** if you want to keep your apps and data.
Reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode (make sure your device is off) with the following button combo: POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
Other options in case first option did not work or isn't possible.
Option 2 VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP than USB cable
Option 3 POWER + VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP
Option 4 POWER + VOLUME DOWN + HOME BUTTON
Option 5 (Note9) USB cable + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
Once in download mode, connect your phone to the PC, preferably using the original USB cable you got with your phone. Odin should detect your device and a BLUE box will show up with the COM port number. (Be sure, the SAMSUNG-drivers are installed on your PC!)
Do NOT tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
Click the start button, wait for Odin to say 'PASS' in a GREEN box. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot, and you can disconnect your phone from the PC.

None of the Download options worked for me.
I booted in Recovery using the Volume up key and then selected reboot to bootloader.
Even the Note 9 method didn't work!

S20 ultra cannot enter download / bootloader mode

Hi folks
Anyone seen this issue before (see pic) ?
When I try to enter download / bootloader mode I get stuck on red text 'entering fastboot mode... ".
Odin cannot detect the phone connected to PC
The only way out is to press and hold power and volume down for 5 seconds to reboot normally
Tried factory reset and also tried clear data & clear cache partitions in recovery mode.
FYI I'm on O2 UK branded July 2020 stock firmware
With this steps the problem will be solved:
Power Off
Insert cable on pc
Press Vol Up + Vol Down
Insert cable on phone without releasing the buttons
But I agree, the 'old' method does not work anymore, I am getting the same message as the OP.

Amazing worked first time ! Thanks
Is this a very recent change by Samsung? I ran various Google searches but could not find any relevant article on the web or on xda forums

Question I have a challenge for you guys.

how would you factory reset a samsung phone with the following restrictions?
1. the factory reset option does not exist in the settings.
2. apks cannot be installed.
3. entering developer mode is impossible.
4. in recovery mode, there is no option to wipe data.
5. oem unlocking is disabled.
6. no hardware modding.
Sell it and buy an unlocked device
I never tried. By try to enter this dial code

Boot the phone in the bootloader and use Odin on PC to flash your phone system

To boot into the bootloader turn the phone off completely, press the volume up and down button at the same time (don't press the power button!) and then plug a USB to USB C cable from your phone to your PC while still pressing the volume keys. (USB C to USB C won't work)
Don't flash the wrong firmware or you may brick your phone
(Hope it's not a stolen phone btw)
