I went to the pop-up event in Shanghai and was told that as of now there is no plan for that, if you want OxygenOS you should buy the international version. But they didn't really seem to know for sure, a lot of the 'staff' there didn't seem to be 1+ employees, and weren't using +1 phones... so I'm going to wait and see how it goes.

Not at the pop-up for sure. In the past, I know you could maybe get a phone from HK JD or Tmall shipped to Shanghai etc. but you would be responsible for taxes/custom duty etc. not worth it in my opinion.
You can ask customer support center for help, maybe.
I spoke to support yesterday and they said its not possible as they're different operating systems. But as far as I'm aware isn't it possible to switch to ColorOS on the OP8 now?
I am also considering purchasing from China. But if I can't switch to Oxygen OS, give up and buy a global model.

please guys, this dudes knows nothing real about updates and all those things, this happened a lot of times in the Xperia SP era, one support guys said there will get kitkat, some other said no and other said that can't say anything "and stay tuned to software update page" (and all u know how that ended, with rage in part because us costumers), so stop doing that, they REALLY know nothing and u can't blame them, they are just low level employes, just wait for an official statment

Sony smartwatch 3 is EOL
The website itself says the watch is not compatible with wear 2.0, only thing is just wait for the development of a custom rom I mean devs ported Wear 2.0 to the Zenwatch 2 so let's wait to happen with the SW3

Have you tried the Windows program called Hi Suite. I also own the Mate 20 and after connecting my phone to the PC with hi suite, it did a update and from there my Mate 20 started doing the updates when I told it to check for updates. My Mate 20 is also on Android 10.1.0.248

i'm still on 10.0 too
Probably you have model C185 which was for (United Arab Emirates) market
I did try to update with the laptop and no 10.1 available
I did some research and C185 gets updates like around 8 months or more after other models get it
It sucks, but i dont care, phone works perfect on 10.0

In the support app to change your region to United Kingdom and under language and input in systems and updates change it to United Kingdom and start checking for updates. That's not patience.
Most devs won't want to build it until there's a decent custom recovery out.
It's pretty easy to build Lineage, there are guides all over the place.

This is now not how it works anymore, especially in this case, where Lineage just ships their own LOS recovery.
I just think one of the LOS devs are waiting to receive their device from dev program or if someone buys it themselves.

Yeah I usually prefer to stick with TWRP, not a huge fan of LineageOS anyway, it's usually nice and stable but very light on features.

It's pretty smooth. Final build quality actually as far as bugs go.
Are we supposed to get look to the os? I installed the old betas and the os looked more like origin os but was funtouch. Are we to expect a new look? This beta build looks like reg funtouch but smoother.

I updated yesterday morning, had 8hrs and 5mins sot by 11pm last night. That was starting from about 830 am. I usually get about 7.5 hrs sot since being on beta firmware. No heat issues at all. Never did and I've had the device since day 1.

Battery life good to me
I'm puzzled why they still don't have some battery health options, like slower charge, or charge to 80%.
The ROG6 has so many options in that regard, it really put the Vivo to shame.
