I'm on the fence between white with the satin finish or glossy black. From all the videos I've seen the glossy black model has a mirror like finish and attracts fingerprints like crazy. The white model has a satin like finish, so fingerprints will be much harder to see. I'm not too worried about scratches on either one of them, because the back is covered in Gorilla Glass 5.
I won't be using a case, I prefer the clean look.
Which one has your preference and why?

Normally, I'd take the decent black Version like I had chosen my Mi 8, but hey - have you seen the unique backside of the blue one with the nice Poco lettering and the different patterns?

I ended up ordering the black one. The white and blue versions had an estimated 2 week delivery time. Whereas the black version will only take 4-7 business days. I guess I'll be looking for a cool skin. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful.

Poco store on the AliExpress shop gave a world premiere discount 29th of march 09:00 GMT+1 if you bought it then it was 360 euro's but if you bought it between 09:00 and 11:00 then you got An extra 35 euro's discount

Same as any skin. Remove the back from the phone. Do a test fit first to see that it fits correctly. Then apply. The best way is to line up the holes on the back and then smooth out towards the sides to remove any bubbles
Don't worry about wrinkles. Get it lined up and slapped on. Then take a blow dryer and heat it up. That makes it easy to get on straight and remove creases. It also warms up the glue and makes it takier.
I've never understood the appeal of "skins". Personally I feel you'd be better off with a "slim" case, and under most circumstances it would probably be a cheaper route.
A friend had installed a Skinomi variant on his Droid X, and recently upgraded to a S3 as well. He decided to sell off his DX to a co-worker and had one hell of a time removing the skin, which ended up practically melting to the battery door and back casing of the device.
I have one on my nexus at the moment. Considering upgrading to the s3 as soon as I can play with one.

actually, the logo is the SAME logo (except for the obvious fact that the galaxy font is smaller on the US version) as the one found on the US Snapdragon GS3 variants

MUCH better than any cheap skin you're going to buy with all those awful n00b cutouts on the edges since they're assuming you don't have a heat gun to stretch it out.... by the way, I do vinyl graphics for a living, I know a thing or two about templates when compared to custom cut out vinyl and these even nicer back covers!

Thanks for the info. Wouldn't be surprised if they are exact replicas of the original with maybe some color variations...And I noticed the taped up Google packaging on one of the eBay listings..lol
I'd be a bit worried. Google couldn't even get the case right with it's early degradation problems. Maybe this will be a case of the knock off being superior to the real thing? I'd have my doubts though.

Amazon was knocking another $5 off at checkout. I do think that's still expensive considering you can get a tpu case for a couple bucks, but when comparing to what Google's charging, its a decent deal if the quality is the same or better.
Just received the black case. It came in a legit Google package that didn't look to be tampered with. Only issue being the packaging is for a gray case. The case fits like a glove and quality seems alright. The color is uniform throughout, unlike the two toned look of the Google bumper. Overall I'm satisfied..

I bought the 'brushed steel' and a black CF...very dissapointed in brushed steel which looks too light to be steel and more like aluminum. However, the CF is great and would order another one of those again if this one ever fails.

I'm going to check out the Verizon Store on Wednesday since they are the only brick and mortar selling it. Alot of the time these cell stores rebrand these accessories and give them their own model numbers making it impossible to find on their website.
You can't seem to buy them even directly from Sony so not sure Verizon will have them, although I bought my SW3 right from a Verizon store when they were sold out online! I would like a white one to mix it up a bit, hopefully some other company will make others too.

Sony seem to produce great products and then immediately shoot themselves in the foot with stuff like this. One of the main features they highlighted was the ability to change the strap and then they can't even get mass produced rubber straps out to people who are waiting to give them money.... Idiots.

I have the white too now. It seems to have a slightly more glossy surface than the black so is less of a dust magnet. Makes the watch look a bit nicer too.

Someone is finally selling the lime strap separately on eBay. But they're £65 just for the strap! Pretty sure I could sell my watch and black strap and buy a complete new one with a lime strap and lose less money. About as well as 2 layers of printer paper would, which is to say, almost not at all. It will protect against scratching.

It makes the phone less slippery, so i'd say it protects the phone from dropping. But no drop protection what so ever ?

Sort of not pertaining to your question, but I really want to see a clear gloss skin on the blue version. I think it'll get rid of the matte finish. You can sort of see the effect in the videos where reviewers dunk their blue phones. I'd imagine it would look like the Mirror Grey version, only blue.
Anyway, I blew about $45 on DBrand skins, and my phone should be here today. I'll be making copies in several odd colors/patterns of vinyl. Obviously they won't be for sale, but if anyone has any ideas for colors, post them here.

Wonder if they could do a slightly tinted version so the shimmer still shows through.
Just ordered the Dragon Red Gloss myself, I think it'll look damn hot on this phone and keep it "on brand"
I never heard of slick wraps until I read this post. Thank for the info, but I prefer dBrand over any other brand any day.

Yeah I saw that dude. Just picked up another skin for this phone and one for my wife's 6T. Don't think I've ever tried slickwraps so I'm really looking forward to it.
