Question Is there a twrp available for poco f3 now? - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

I think this phone is not bad. I am going to buy one. I saw some card resources, but I didn’t see twrp.

Redmi K40 currently uses the factory Android11+HDV3 architecture, currently only GooglePixel5 and Redmi K40 are used, TWRP is officially adapting to the Android11+HDV3 architecture.

It's actually the same architecture as pixel5, that's too powerful

Does the fact they released the kernel source mean we will be getting ROMs for the F3?

Can someone enlighten me what HDV3 architecture means? Google didn't give me a hint

Download "Treble Check" from Google Play , it will show your phone's partition type.
Your device was shipped with Oreo so it should be compatible. Use the search function for install tutorial.

Never flash a rom not meant for your device...EVER! Roms are specific to one device and on occasion, multiple variants of the device, but not from one manufacturer to another.

Global = Huawei
AUM= Still Huawei
Huawei makes both phones. Same manufacturer.
Global is a variant. L20 is a variant.
So like I said, you May be able to flash L20 roms on a Global but I don't own the device so I don't know the specifics. You need to look at the release thread for a rom(or stock firmware as another example) and read the first post or look at the thread title to see if it lists multiple variants of the Honor 7.
In either case, your question is better asked in the honor 7 forums where people know more information about the device.

By this method:https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...ference-how-to-port-image-to-ab-root-t3829885
I don't know how do i do that, pls someone port miui for a/b
someone tried, with no success
Why not just buy the MIUI version of this phone in the first place? This is an Android One phone, why would you want something seriously inferior on it? Put development efforts to Lineage or the other ROMs for this device.

I think there will not be any development so soon since the kernel resources were not fully released. Atm, I will wait for unlocking bootloader and global rom.

It's a Mediatek phone, so don't expect any custom ROMs.
Take a look back at the Xiaomi phones released with Mediatek chips and see how little support from developers it got

Exactly. The only fully working custom is Xiaomi.eu which is based on stock firmware with a few tweaks.
Redmi Note 4 MTK was released with Android 6 (Marshmallow) and never received a working Android 7 (Nougat).
Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon was also released with Android 6 and received Android 7 (Nougat), Android 8 (Oreo), Android 9 (Pie) and there is already an Android Q beta version released.
The choice is simply: If you want a custom ROM don't buy Mediatek

Let's wait, we never know! The (partial) source code release is a step forward. I think that the "missing" code parts have with the LCD to do and not with the chip anyway.

There are many differences :
- Xiaomi never released Kernel sources on Note 4 (MTK), you can find Note 2 and 3's on their GitHub (very tardily released), but not Note 4's...they already release Note 8 Pro's
- Xiaomi didn't sell Note 4 in western countries...now they officially sell many devices in Europe.
- most western users bought SD625 version instead...MTK community wasn't that big
Sources are there, now Mediatek need a "best seller"...unless that, custom rom won't exist
In past, a team succeed in doing rom for several Mediatek's devices (M.A.D. Team)

Your definition of unbelieveable is unbelievable

Why no progress in custom development for this device?

I know the Pro version and Pro Max version share the similar specs except physically the main camera sensor. I have a doubt if anything developed for Pro version will also work for Pro Max version like recovery, ROMs, etc. I see no lead for custom development here...
Please share your opinions and views.
Thanks

There is Xiaomi.eu for redmi note 9 pro max but there aren’t any custom things because there is no TWRP release or at least I think that’s the reason or maybe it is the fact that it is quite new

These factors affects development of this device.
1. Lockdown
2. Flash Sale of Pro Max
Many people are still waiting for RN9P & RN9PM

Yes, they can be the reasons for the lack of development, but I see other devices like poco x2 and RN9P have been picking up pace quite fast even though they are also on flash sale, especially x2.
Let's see... :fingers-crossed:

Pro Max is Indian Version and didn't got any developers still for specific development but it has Unified ROM Builds which is also used in other Redmi Note 9 Pro versions called "miatoll". It is stable enough for Pro Max go and try it.

I am learning git now and I am going to buy Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in three months. Soon I will make a device specific trees for our device and start development of custom ROMs. But I also need testers to test my custom ROMs that I will be releasing in near future.

Unofficial twrp:
https://unofficialtwrp.com/twrp-3-4-1-root-redmi-note-9-pro-max/
Rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-9-pro/development/rom-pixel-experience-t4158325
So if you flash that twrp then everytime you connect your phone to pc, it will show "note 9 s". You can follow the step on how to flash, but when I flashed no_verity I got stuck in bootloop. So you can ignore that step
Rom is pixel experience, didn't see any bug yet. Just the front camera didn't feel optimised. Like when I taking selfie using apps like instagram or snapchat, it would be dark and blurry.

Why hasn't been an official TWRP developed for Redmi Note 9 Pro...vs. older and new ones have.. any idea?
I guess it's the same situation as with Lineage for certain devices - there is nobody willing to maintain the software's port to a specific device.
