Code:
- Your warranty is now void.
- You have been warned.
- Use at your own risk.
Introduction:
This is the Official Lineage OS 18.1 thread for the Nextbit Robin.
Downloads:
Please follow the install instructions in your device's Wiki page linked below exactly, and make sure your device's firmware matches the required firmware listed.
Official builds:
ether
Unofficial - built once a month by me, includes GApps and Pixel goodies:
ether
If you don't follow these instructions, or use 3rd party add-ons (like Magisk) please don't expect support here.
Known Bugs:
IMS (VoLTE/Wi-Fi Calling) doesn't work on LineageOS 16.0 and above - it's possible this feature may return in the future, though it unlikely, due to severely outdated proprietary blobs.
Find any? Report them according to this guide.
Notes:
The only supported GApps package at the moment is MindTheGapps, linked on our Wiki page about gapps.

Amazing job!
Flashing right away !

Thank you for your great work!
Just being curious, does it pass Google Safetynet?
If I remember correctly some previous LOS builds for ether actually passed it before.

Thanks for keeping ether alive!

Is everyone's fingerprint sensor working? Mine was working on 17.1, but it doesn't seem to be recognized in 18.1. I didn't see this listed as a current issue with this build.

Doing it asap. I'll attach the log to this post when ready (and will tag you).
Edit:
@npjohnson It fixed itself. What did I do:
1-Enable Developer Option
2-Enable USB Debbuging
3-Allow My PC
4-Started a log with adb
5-Went to the setting to register a FP
6-It worked
Still working after unpluging

yes, if I not forgot, I think the advance reboot menu option is under button menu at the system, not in developer menu any longer, cmiiw ..
I've return to LOS 17 just because having trouble with finger print

registering FP (=fingerprint) is when you add a new fingerprint. To create a log with adb use this command:
Code:
adb logcat -v long > FPR.txt
You need to have adb up and running of course but since you unlocked your bootloader I don't think it's an issue for you.
And this may not solve your problem, I was just lucky when doing it. If you're lucky it'll fix it for you too, but otherwise I won't be suprised if you tell me that it didn't worked

Retried the workaround/fix from @Raiz and it fixed the fingerprint reader. Thanks @Raiz

fingerprint not working here, I have adb dev ready, but won't try the workaround in case there's something else you'd like to know from a device w. the problem.

Same here, when going to FP registration settings it just shows the place where the sensor is on the phone and doesn't go to the next step.
I tried flashing 04/01, 04/04 and 04/11 builds and it's the same situation on each one of them.
Btw. if anyone is wondering all three builds pass the Safetynet test.

Download the most recent build
Download Gapps (I use Open Gapps Mini)
From Recovery:
Full Wipe (Recommend full wipe and factory reset)
Flash ROM zip

Latest ROM:

I removed the stock CM music player and replaced it with the "VanillaMusic" player from XenonHD ROM, and use AOSP Setup Wizard since Lineage one isn't very good.
Thanks to:
The Lineage Team for the kernel & device source and a whole lot of things.
@StoneTrapper
@pappaschlumpf
Without these folks helping out, this ROM would be waaaaaaayyyy farther back in development. I owe these guys a tremendous debt of gratitude. Feel free to thank them for me
Additional huge thanks to the folks at EAS-Project for creating the Vox Populi power HAL that makes EAS work.

I’m not really a dev, I just figure stuff out, and I get help from really great people, especially @StoneTrapper.
As such, feature requests may or may not get implemented, and it may take me quite a while to get ém done if they do. I thank you all for your patience on that.
Also, I do have a day job, so I may not be able to answer questions or address concerns right away. I thank you for your understanding on that.
All that said, I hope you enjoy the ROM

This ROM does not, and as far as I'm aware, none of the others do either. That's something that @StoneTrapper and I briefly talked about, but we haven't explored it too much yet.
We're not completely sure what's involved in getting that to work, but we will look into it.

Ok, I checked into it and asked @StoneTrapper about HDR in RR. HDR does work in LOS, but for some reason when the app is first opened, the HDR option is greyed out. To get it to work, tap on the icon in the upper right to change modes, and HDR icon becomes active. Also, there is an HDR option in the list once the upper right icon is tapped.
There is no difference between pictures with HDR enabled and without HDR. Thank you.

I was able to activate the HDR according to your instructions. Thank you. But I do not see any difference in the quality of the pictures. Otherwise, the assembly is very good.

Are you referring to the missing buttons to activate/deactivate the options? Or do you mean you want to enroll your specific fingerprint for phone security?
I hope the on/off switches in settings aren't missing. :-o

Uhm, I thought of the device sources, I think kernel sources are mandatory...but thanks for the fast reply.

Works well on my device. Nice job.
Question
Navigation button swap not available? Can't seem to find the settings for it.
I'm right handed and having the back button on the right feels more comfortable for me.
EDIT: workaround down at post 12.

You guys should be able to swap the button manually by writing an 1 or 0 into the following file. Root required.

Hero!
That did it. Thank you very much, my man.
For the less technical inclined the location of the file is in "root/proc/s1302"
Open "key_rep" with a text editor and change "0" to "1".
It's literally just a number in there.
Will work once you save. No restart needed.
Great ROM, everything that I need is working properly. Thanks for great job.
Works fine.

Any way to disable hardware buttons and enable software/gestures for OP5?
EDIT: A way to do so (mostly for me to not forget again in 2 years, but if you want to do so I don't take any responsibility for your device):
1. Reboot to recovery
2. Mount /system
3. Connect to PC,
Code:
adb devices
to check if everything's connected correctly
4.
Code:
adb /system/system/build.prop
5. Add at the bottom of the file (it's probably in %homepath%):
Code:
ro.show.navigationbar=yes
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
6.
Code:
adb push .\build.prop /system/system/build.prop
7. Boot to system
8. To remap keys use some free apps from play store
Why recovery and adb and not a file explorer app? For me I didn't have write permissions so I just did a thing

I'm sure that this function and all other functions that are available on PE11 will be added. Right now there are more important things to get working and up to speed. Right now this is in alpha status.

ProtonAOSPAndroid 12 ROM for Pixel 2 - Maintained by @EnesSastim
Spoiler: SPECIAL THANKS TO
@Lunarixus on XDA (using his device tree, mentorship, and fixes. Wonderful work)
@RealOkabe on XDA for his build process, we only reached bootable state thanks to his work.
@ReallySnow on XDA for his work on Android 12 vendor. I consider him my teacher, and most of the Android 12 heavy lifting was done by him.
None of this would've happened without them.
ProtonAOSP is a minimal Android fork (custom ROM) focused on UI/UX and performance, with a touch of privacy.

Hello, many thanks for this works, unfortunatly i missed the link.
2 questions, can you send me link to donate for the walleye developpement of this proton aosp unofficial rom ?
Also, is this would work with locked bootloader ? or does not making sens with the configuration of vendor from 11 etc...
Also if u have another test build could you provide it.
Thanks.

Currently the ROM is in in unknown state @Dollscythe is trying their best to fix it so no links are currently available as the ROM wasn't currently usable and and no nothing is flashable if your bootloader is locked for anything to be flashable your bootloader must be able to be unlocked or set in unlocked mode otherwise the device is unflashable and to donate to them its PayPal and the link

I wouldn't recommend re-locking it but I know on the original you could but I would wait until @Dollscythe finishes up if they get the chance as things happen and they are supporting a phone they don't have so time is needed give them a few days hopefully they get a chance and they can answer better then I can as they are building it

This looks interesting will flash soon and report back. Stable enough as a daily driver? What recovery would you recommend flashing this with ?
Thanks!
Flashing instructions plz
I'm sorry for my English. The ROM seems excellent in daily use, now I have had two problems, first my computer does not recognize my phone, do I need exclusive drivers? Second Pubg New State does not open, takes the custom ROM has tricks, is there any solution?

Been using this since last night. Running really smoothly. Couple of things..
Settings forced closed a couple of times and NFC doesn't seem to work. Tried to pay for something with my card and didn't work.
Thanks for the great ROM!
Is it possible to relock the bootloader?
I ask becouse I tried locking it and it gives me this message "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot", I tired flashing p.e avb_custom_key but no luck, so I had to unlock it again for it to boot up.
PS: NFC doesn't seem to work
Thank you sir for this wonderful rom. I am enjoying it
Can someone please share list of features available in this rom ? Currently i am using Pixyos rom, is it any better than that?

Can you please confirm the following 3 points?
1. Is google photos offering unlimited backup?
2. Is SELinus state enforcing or permissive (check in settings>>about phone>>Android Version).
3. Does Gpay and other banking apps work? I dont use NFC so it doesnt matter if payments using nfc are not working.
PS. I dont want to root the phone due to my work profile.

Hii Does it have OOS cam, is it working fine just like crdroid 7.14?
Hi all.
I have tried to update my current crdroid but failed with "expected NORD"!
It seems like ADB wanna NORD instead ov avicii.
Any info about that ?

Where can I find gapps?
Hi, great effort! Some questions :
Is this build truly based on LOS 19?
All auxiliary cameras (Gcam) working fine?
Banking apps working fine & safetynet?
90hz working correctly?
Fingerprint accurate and fast?
Double tap to wake working?
NFC?
Thanks in advance!

Its a custom rom i think we shld try and give our feedback to dev's to make it more stable, instead of playing safe and stay away from bugs

For sure, but my enquiry is very general and should be provided on the 1st post, and also as an official build. For many, this is our primary device, so core features as stated above has to work fine, hence my questions. Perhaps dev or anyone using can help with my enquiry.
Best!
Thanks for the update and smooth rom.
which gapps working? stock or basic? coz normally storage issue persists

I've used this rom before, from what I can remember:
Gcam worked fine for rear main, uwide, macro and front main as well as front uwide (I used wichaya, also a lot of other gcams have issues opening on a12 roms)
banking apps worked fine (I was rooted and used denylist)
90hz was working great.
They've just released a new update (8.6) addressing FOD issues so I'm sure fingerprint would work flawlessly.
Double tap to wake and off screen gestures also worked great.
I'm not sure about NFC though, some people have been saying its working while for some it didn't. Personally I don't use NFC hence I can't conclude upon anything, will have to try it yourself.

Hi,
I flashed this yesterday and everything works as far as I can see
- Bank apps
- Bluetooth sync to all my devices
- Fingerprint reader (this didn't work in the android 11 version of crdroid)
Awesome job dev
with the latest 11.F12 EU update have for first time after 3 years 5G enabled in Switzerland.
Is 5G on latest crdroid working in Europe ? has anyone test it ?
or i should try out ... and see if.
Until now i never had custom rom with 5G enabled in switzeland (or Europe) with oneplus nord.

Unfortunately no one of the custom roms (incl. crdroid) has the new baseband modem (Q_V1_P14,Q_V1_P14 i supose is from OPPO) of the AC2003_11_F.12 update. With the others before were not possible to work with 5G networks in swiss.
I tried crdroid during weekend and were not working.
Following the first install steps, when installing the gapps, either I do not get any gapps installed, or I immediately go into Qualcomm Crashdump Mode, any idea?
Installing the gapps after the first set up doesn't allow me to finish the gapps setup and I have a permanent "finish setup" notification, where I can select the wifi but not go to the next step
