Introduction:

Unofficial - built once a month by me, includes GApps and Pixel goodies:

If you don't follow these instructions, or use 3rd party add-ons (like Magisk) please don't expect support here.
Known Bugs:
None.
Hardware-backed encryption is broken thanks to Google dropping support for legacy credential storage from AOSP 11.0, so we just feel back to software-backed encryption. This means it is a little slower, and taxing on the CPU, in addition to the fact upgrades from older LineageOS versions are not supported. The Wiki upgrade guide notes this as well.
Find any? Report them according to this guide.
Notes:
The only supported GApps package at the moment is MindTheGapps, linked on our Wiki page about gapps!

@npjohnson Thank you for your continued efforts into maintaining official builds for bacon. Thanks a lot. Really appreciate this.

@npjohnson Thanks a lot for maintaining it. Can't wait to flash it. Also, do you have any idea when the build will be available?

Unable to download 18.1. Not available on LineageOs website.

@npjohnson mate, I successfully installed it but there's this weird bug which isn't allowing me to get past the security lock. After entering the security pattern, the screen kind of blanks out and then refreshes back to the lock screen. After a while, the entire screen shuts off.
I did the whole installation process again, now the display is kinda dead. The lockscreen doesn't show, but the power options after long pressing the power buttin is shown. Is this a first build bug?? I'm reverting to LOS 17.1 for now

Correct, as the OP and Wiki both say.

installation work as described, but i still went back to 17.1 because as i want to install my paid app's Play-Store want's me to pay again. Is this a Mindthegapps problem, or with android11

idk why - this affects some users randomly, wipe, and re-install - chances are it won't happen again.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I have Google Backup on so most of my stuff will be recovered after the format and install.

Unfortunately I stuck on boot loop after install LSposed or Edxposed (clean install), any solution?!

A workaround for this issue is to install Aurora Store and login with your Google account. You'll be able to download your paid apps through Aurora Store, and then they'll be regularly updated via Play Store.

Had to go back to Lineage 17.1 because the new version doesn't let me recover my backups from my google account. Will wait for newer versions and will wait until there's open gapps for android 11.

Important Info
To flash this rom you need TWRP 3.2.0-0 or newer. https://twrp.me/huawei/huaweinexus6p.html
Make sure you have the radio & bootloader img's installed from the stock oreo 8.1 OPM7.181205.001 Dec 2018 factory image.
They can be extracted from the factory image on google's site here. Or you can use the ones linked below that I already extracted:
radio & bootloader img's: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=286833
Those img's can be flashed with fastboot command.
Note: There's an issue happening to some angler users on custom oreo roms. The first boot after flashing rom your sim card might not be detected. It's easy to fix. Just go to lockscreen security settings and change it to 'none' and then reboot. Then you can change it back to whatever you want. This only happens one time when you first flash oreo.
Download Links
rom: https://download.lineageos.org/angler
Note: LineageOS servers no longer make 15.1 builds for any devices. You can use my unofficial builds here. My older builds are here.
Note#2: if you want to switch from an official build to my unofficial builds, follow instructions here.
google apps (optional): https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps.html (Use arm64 / 8.1)
root su addon (optional): https://download.lineageos.org/extras Note: Use arm64 15.1 zip. After installing the su addon, you can enable root in developer options.
Instructions
If updating from old unofficial to newer unofficial, follow the steps below:
1. if you don't already have them installed, flash the newest radio and bootloader img's linked above.
2. boot into twrp and flash the rom zip.
Reboot & enjoy.
NOTE: if you previously flashed gapps and/or the su addon, there's no need to flash them again. They will be automatically re-installed during rom zip installation.
NOTE2: if you want to switch from an official build to my unofficial builds, follow instructions here.
If coming from a different rom:
1. if you don't already have them installed, flash the newest radio & bootloader img's linked above. also make sure you have the newest twrp, linked above.
2. boot into twrp and wipe system & data & cache.
3. flash rom & gapps & su addon zips (gapps & su zips are optional).
Reboot & enjoy.
Weather Provider Addon (Optional)
For those that like the lineage cLock widget, here's the OpenWeather apk you need to get weather info.
https://download.lineageos.org/extras
Grab the one for version 16.0. It also works with 15.1.
Note: You'll need an api key from OpenWeather.

Forgot to mention in the first post. This has been happening on many custom ROMs.
An easy fix is to go to security settings and change screen lock to swipe or none, then reboot. That will remove the device protection that caused the no sim problem.
After the reboot, the problem is fixed and won't happen anymore. Then you can go back into security settings and change it back to whatever screen lock option you want.

Can it also be related to your carrier or something?

Its not just caused by unlock protection. I posted details on the issue in my 14.1 thread about a month ago.

Hi, looking to potentially begin using custom ROMs on my 6P to help combat some battery and performance issues I get. With future updates, do I have to keep manually flashing the radio, etc firmware or can I just OTA/DL zip of lineage and flash? Seems like a bit of a pain :/

Hi, once a month you need to flash the new vendor for security updates
Google release them once a month (usually the first tuesday of the month)
However when you flash an update that does not require new vendor, you don't need to flash it
edit: just realised you're also from Melbourne, hi
Just have installed the last unofficial in my Angler, coming from another custom rom ( with Nougat). All good. Plan to stay here. Thanks !
Anyone having problems with the phone shutting down saying 0% battery when in reality you still have plenty of battery left? Just did a clean install and it happened after only installing chrome and whatsapp.

I've installed the GCam with library (see on other thread) and it works like a charm. I'm actually using the lineage-16.0-20190324-nightly-scorpio-signed.zip
It's good that he's already official. In short I will change my rom AEX I pray for this one.

No Volte in settings...Can some one help me...
I tried to install the nightly roms os 6 and 7 June for the Mi note 2 global scorpio on my global Version. I had the latest xiaomi.eu rom weekly updated installed prior to installation. I downloaded both the nightly official roms of the 6th and 7th of June. Formatted the data and wiped the cache and system, followed by a adb sideload of the signed nightly roms. Both versions returned a signature error of the zip file. I had the sha256 verified without error.
Can anybody explain what went wrong.
I am currently back on miui 10 eu rom (latest weekly) through twrp recovery.
Issue is solve. Lineagos does not support zip verification. Zip verification to be turned of in TWRP.
Kind regards, Henk

Most likely because this one is going to be quite substantial update, and need to be tested thoroughly.
Thanks to Xiaomi, there will be no more official LOS updates to mi note 2
For what reason?

Beautiful, solid build! Superb job, you guys!
As far as "bugs unknown" clause is concerned, my river model xt1962-4 does seem to have a location bug since los 18.1 which did NOT occur in 17.1 The bug has been reported here

I haven't seen this error in this build. If my memory serves me, I have seen this error it in the Pixel Experience ROM last year with a different device. It turned out that flashing a newer GAPPS package fixed this. I used the Mind The GApps 12.1 for this build and seems to be ok.

Rule #1: No tokin' while flashing bro...
Loving the Android 12 experience on my G7. I too am experiencing some of the same issues described here. When flashing the Official ROM, and MindtheGapps, the setup program couldn't communicate with Google. It kept telling me to connect to the Internet, even though my home wifi was showing as "Connected." When I flashed the Unofficial (with Gapps included), that allows me to register, and I keep getting "System Intelligence keeps stopping" message. I tried to be sneaky and flash the official ROM through recovery/ADB after installing and setting up the unofficial ROM, but that put me in a boot loop.
Does the unofficial ROM get updates as frequently as the official (approx. every week)?

I was able to successfully download the unoffical and able to get the rom running. I could not get mindthegapps to stick though...Error 1 I think (not enough space). I tried another gapps packet to no avail. Not sure of the issue so I'm just putting this out out there for others.

Because the unofficial includes GApps - and a lot of them at that - look at the OP note

Well I feel like an idiot haha! Okay I'll give it another go Thanks a ton!
Okay so I'm up and running on the Unofficial haha! Thanks for the help above. Install was quick and easy...not sure what I missed yesterday but it was the same downloaded file so I nixed something up.
I was getting this "android system intelligence keeps stopping" while on the rom for the first hour - as I added all my normal apps to the phone, it went away. Not sure why - don't care now Everything seems to work but I'll keep you in the loop.
Stupid question: from 18.1 to 19.1, do i need to flash the A12 mindthegapps package too?
I am currently running LOS 18.1 with the A11 version of mindthegapps package....

If you download the unoffical rom...it comes with gapps included with it.
Not sure about the official rom.
I installed it, and seems to be working really well. Here are some pictures, for anyone who wants to see.

I just installed the official one today. You do have to install MindTheGapps on it, even if you had it on 18.1. it also has to be installed right after you sideload the Lineage OS installation zip file, before you boot to android.

its out of date, next build will have it fixed.
Apart from a few A11 to 12 things I'll get used to (personal nitpicks, lol) everything's running well. I do miss the old 18.1 blue accent, are there plans to add other color accents to the ROM itself? Currently I'm using tulsadiver's color mod. Either way, thank you for helping keep our devices alive.

I can confirm. The update went well and everything is working fine. Well done.
Same here - both the unofficial and official work flawlessly. I've gone back n forth haha!

On officials, no, it's all monet.
On unofficial, hold Home Screen down, select "wallpaper and styles", then pick a color!
Upgraded from LOS 18.1 to 19.1 and flashed mindthegapps12 and magisk. Everything seems to work fine until I tried making bluetooth call. My favorite bluetooth earpiece is extremely quiet. But another one works just fine. Looked in dev options and saw that all codecs are greyed out. Can anyone confirm this is happening on a clean install?

Not here - Clean install and all my blu tooth devices are working properly. GL
Just to be sure, if I'm currently running the official LOS 18 builds with MindtheGapps, all I need to do is flash official LOS 19 and MindtheGapps again, and that's it? No need to flash firmware or anything? And it won't wipe user data?
Also, any chance the rounded corners got fixed in LOS 19?
Don't need any changes on firmware side to flash Lineage 19.1? Slot a is on april patch, slot b on mai patch. That can keep, right?
Thanks for bringing up LineageOS 19 officially @npjohnson and keeping the Pixel 3a alive after google's decision to drop it after this May! I searched a lot but I couldn't find a good answer: is it possible to relock the bootloader after the installation? Is LineageOS (enough) signed to pass the boot procedure?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12L (S), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

First build is already out! Remember, you need to format userdata since we moved from FDE to FBE.
Just had to comment and say, this ROM is absolutely beautiful. The implementation of 19.1 for gemini is just incredible. Little details with the colours, icons, sizing and highlights make it a joy to use! (I suppose some of this might be android 12s 'Material You' but I'm still blown away.
Can already tell the device is running much faster than before (had been on a recent 18.1 build).
This is actually so well polished that I will have to look into getting a new battery. Only reason I'm not using gemini as a primary device. Anybody have a recommendation on where to get a new battery?
Big thanks to bgcngm, absolutely amazing work. It is crazy to think such an old device now can still run the latest lineage!
I had trouble flashing this from twrp even after formatting data partition.
Flashed lineage is recovery and flashed through adb sideloa, everything went smoothly.
Thanks for such a polished build!!
I use this phone with work profile as well.
Will keep posted about it as well
(sorry for my english)
very very thanks!
smooth rom, works flawlessly
same problem here:
when flashing from twrp I got error, but no problems with lineage official recovery
the only little bug I found:
when I turn off the wifi completely, the 'internet button' remains lit
Can't install with twrp... log says error code 1, after format data. that error still showing...
btw i updated twrp version (which is have version support android 12 encryption) and i did again steps and still error code 1 is exist. no luck charm.
And cant install lineage recovery because my pc cant recognize my phone.. guess i have to wait for this 18.1 features... for now.. (sigh)

Hi, I had the same issue. I had also installed the latest twrp (3.7.0_9). What worked for me was using the lineageos recovery instead of twrp. You can find that here:
https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/recovery/gemini/20221016/lineage-19.1-20221016-recovery-gemini.img
Not sure if there is a proper solution to get twrp to work, this is more of a workaround.
Currently, Lineage Recovery must be used.
Inkypen's TWRP supports FBE, but it is an older version and only supports encryption up to Android 11.

You can try the magisk hide module
[MODULE] [DEPRECATED] MagiskHide Props Config - SafetyNet, prop edits, and more - v6.1.2
MagiskHide Props Config v6.1.2 Note: This project is dead, and has been for some time. I have not been involved in the Android modding scene for some time and I no longer have the energy to take it up again. If anyone feels like taking over...

I tried but not working.
Everything is ok with this. https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix/files/9356078/safetynet-fix-v2.3.1-MOD.zip
Multiuser also working fine!!
Any idea about this "wakelock" in battery usage?
I am now fully convinced that you and the other Mi 5 maintainers are superhuman, @bgcngm. No way is this possible for regular people.

So, just an heads-up. I am going to promote Mi 5 (gemini) to start getting A12 based builds. BIG WARNING: you will need to wipe userdata because we have switched from FDE to FBE. F2FS is no longer supported either.

If the device is not encrypted, then wiping userdata doesn't apply, right?
