The easiest way to remove bloatware is to unlock the bootloader using mi unlock and then flashing a custom ROM. I suspect there will be popular ROMs built for this device but you can always start with GSIs by phusson

I understand GSI's by phusson are a barebone software system that approximately covers big hardware families, and in such a way they cannot be really used as a daily system, but rather as a way to build upon it with support for specific devices?
I also understand there is no TWRP currently released for POCO F3, so there is also no way to flash even a GSI?
I have been out of the compulsive ROM flashing scene for a long while, but I just ordered a F3 off Amazon which is incoming in about a month, yet I do expect there will be plenty of resources by then, as it sounds like many people will be owning one in a while.

How about applications to install ???
Does GSIs by phusson require flashing custom ROMs ?

First thing I did was remove all the bloatware with the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools. Then I installed Youtube Vanced and Blokada. Now I'll wait for TWRP and custom ROMs to be released.

hmm, in the xiaomi ADB, it dint show whether the google play music, hang out, play movies, mi browser or mi video, or cleaner able to uninstall ? Are these app safe to uninstall ??

I removed most of the unused applications as I did on my others xiaomi phones, but I observed that my buttons are not more circular but rectangle. II look like 90's buttons I did not remove any theme or other graphical stuff. Any idea, to get back my circular button?
Thx,

DEBLOAT Redmi Note 7 MIUI 10.3.5.0 No Root/Bootloader Locked

Hi people, I has been using This phone for almost 20 days and didn't find a tutorial of how to remove most bloatware for Lavender safely and without rooting, here it goes:
1. We need to download two tools, the first one is Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools from Github.com/Saki-EU/XiaomiADBFastbootTools (Link at bottom). And the second one are the correct drivers for our phone provided in the same Github page.
2. Instructions: (Taken from Saki-EU Github)
Connecting a device in ADB mode
-Enable developer options in Android.
MIUI: Go to Settings > About device and tap ‘MIUI version’ seven times to enable developer options.
Android One: Go to Settings > System > About device and tap ‘Build number’ seven times to enable developer options.
-Enable USB debugging in Android.
MIUI: Go to Settings > Additional settings > Developer options and enable USB debugging as well as USB debugging (Security settings).
Android One: Go to Settings > System > Developer options and enable USB debugging.
-Connect your device to the computer and launch the application. The device is going to ask for authorisation, which you'll have to allow.
-Wait for the application to detect your device. The device info should appear in the top left section.
3. In the aplication you will see the safe to remove system apps, I delete most of them and everything works fine, no bootloop or soft bootloop, I highly recomend to deactivate al MI apps and account, MI device find and MI cloud services.
NOTE:
After downloading the usb drivers provided by Saki-EU, connect your phone, execute the tool, a window will appear, if your phone shows below you are ok to intall the driver.
4. My Debloat:
-No Debloated

Tool Updated. Now is in 6.8.1 compatible with MIUI 11.0.4
https://github.com/Saki-EU/XiaomiADBFastbootTools/releases
Done this 3 days after getting the phone. Much nicer without all the MI apps and some of the Google apps.
I hope you are talking about this tool
I've debloated everything possible (since only apps that don't brick your device are enumerated anyway) -> installed Google apps. Works pretty well ^^
is it safe to remove find my device? in the pocophone thread someone said you can get bootloop

The Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tool from Saki-EU list the safe to remove system apps, you can delete the listed apps but is highly recomended to disable all the MI cloud based services before, included the MI account and MI find my device. :good:
When I can delete most of unnecessary stuff using SAKI, I really feel no need to root my phone or install unofficial custom roms. It's already blazing fast with long battery life, plus fast enough battery charging with Q3 charger. I don't see enough benefit for taking a risk of putting my phone in less secure state.

This is what i know:
HybridAccesory: Perhaps is the one that makes posible the use of Micro SD in the first SIM slot, really not sure.
SMS Extra: Free sms service provided by Xiaomi using just Xiaomi devices, dont know if works outside China.
Partner Bookmarks: Never missed that
Xiaomi Service Framework: Big bloatware that makes connection to Xiaomi servers for ads and user information.
Xiaomi SIM Activation Service: Not related to actual SIM card use, maybe for collecting data.
Thank you, but what do you mean by "Partner Bookmarks: Never missed that"? Always debloat you mean?
I actually got rid off all those as well. Seem to be fine. Saki mentions all the listed uninstallable apps/services in his program are safe to remove. So I just removed those 5 as well. More free RAM now ? I just hope I won't miss MIUI OTA by removing any of them.
would debloating make miui use less ram?
title sums it all up. I'd really wanna know coz I'm considering debloating my device.
i had a funny nightmare last night where my note 7 was blaring out 7000 notifications a day about various "issues" with my device, and i couldn't even read texts because they just kept spamming me with meaningless fluff notifications. so i tried to install lineage on it.
...i miss my oneplus.
today i decided to check if official lineage was available yet, but this looks like it'll be fine for a while.
Defenitely!

See the title
2.3GB RAM available when I don't have anything open, I've debloated all the apps listed in earlier post, plus I have other extra apps installed (mail client, whatsap, games, etc).
Thanks! I only debloated some apps like: Mi Music, Play Music, Play Videos, Mi Videos, and MSA.
Still using some of Mi Apps and Google tho.
Saki's program newer version released. I noticed he adds more uninstallable apps in every new versions. Latest is 6.3.2

Can I update the OS without any issues, even if all of the bloated system apps have been uninstalled?

Lets gooo!!! Custom ROMs are finally here for Alioth! BTW, dumb question, but is there any difference between alioth & aliothin (Mi 11X)? Can I flash this on my device without issues? I don't think there are any differences but I just wanted to be sure before flashing this weekend when my 168 hour wait time gets over!
At the moment I have not succeeded or I do not know if the cts profile will pass, I am testing
As for testing earlier, CTS won't pass yet. Dev will look into it. Even with magisk props it still won't pass.
CTS check in Magisk is broken, CTS itself should be fine
nice, bro. you're the fastest man alive.....
How can I wipe xiaomi.eu and flash old firmware in order to come over to this ROM?
The only thing that keeps me away from buying this device is its camera performance on MIUI (As per the reviews). So, is it any better in this custom ROM?? Some samples with comparison will be very much appreciated.

F3 isn't obviously a cameraphone.
But IMHO camera performance isn't that bad, especially when photos are taken in good light environments.
For now the stock camera app is the first and best choice, because it's device-optimized.
But I think that sooner or later we'll have a good XML for the Gcam.

Question Google Pay "This phone can't be set up", but SafetyNet is passing!

Google Pay stopped working, even tho I pass SafetyNet.
My Poco F3 is on Stock ROM, unlocked + rooted with Magisk. Zygisk is enabled and I've the Magisk Module "SafetyNet-Fix".
I cleared data of Google, Play Store, Play Services, Services Framework.
Rebooted several times. Nothing!
I updated from MIUI 13.0.6 -> 13.0.7, does this have anything to do with that?
Please help lol.
I won't lock my Bootloader, Google be damned!
Edit: Play Store shows my device as Certified, but doesn't show Netflix. Netflix is shown as "Incompatible with your device".

I assume. It started to happen after updating to version 22.26.57 - maybe the "feature" got introduced there? I have a friend with same phone and rom but without beta services, and gpay still works for him.
For me google wallet works good on xiaomi.eu magisk with zygisk + universal safetynetfix + shamiko, but I also have added google wallet to zygisk deny list.
Google Pay has become Google Wallet, might to do with that?
Try to add Google wallet to denylist, mine is not complaining so far on ArrowOS and Magisk 25.2 with Universal safetynet fix.
@DivintyQQ @unxcepted
I tried leaving the Beta of Play Services and uninstalling its' updates,
adding Google Wallet to Zygisk Blacklist,
adding "Shamiko" to Magisk..
clearing all data again and rebooting 10 times...
Nothing. Nothing worked.

I really hope you figure it out, dude, Google Pay/Wallet is one of those “cant live without” apps :-(
Também estou tendo um problema com gpay usando LOS. o que é magisk e como instalar?
Mod Edit: English Translation Below
I'm also having a problem with gpay using LOS. what is magisk and how to install?
Don't have safetynet or bootloader root issues even without using shamiko, but mine is stuck on loading never ending 'checking for updates' screen. Can still use paypass and eftpos but cannot add or edit cards or do anything else. Even after the change to "wallet" recently.
For anyone having issues with safetynet on LOS, there is ih8sn which doesn't require root:

You can share all information that you know here like how to install it from where to download it etc.
Well at the moment I can share information but not the build, since it's not internally approved yet.
Approval is supposed to be received by end of this week and in a moth commercial launch should begin.
For EU (and I guess also GLOBAL) there are no big changes between Android 12 / MUI 13 and Android 13 / MUI 14: as usual XIAOMI for EU leaves out most of the advanced features of the China MIUI, plus some Android featutres are totally ignore (like the nw themed icons).
In addition form a GUI point of view, MIUI 14 till has some glitches:
Icons in noritifications are not color on color
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
like it was on MIUI 13 (reference phone for MIUI 13 and Android 12 is Xiaomi 12 PRO)
The strange thing here is that the icon appear bad only when notification is compacted, while when expanded it look ok:
Some texts are not nicely aligned (example below is for alarm snoozing)
You can also tell from the SIM choosing, in MIUI 14 the SIM number is not properly cenetred
like it was on MIUI 13
And few more misalignemts or word-wrapping are present.
I believe that, besides the icon issue, the main text glitches are due to the fact that (looking at dev option) the SMALLEST WIDTH (i.e. the PPI) in MIUI 14 is set to 388dp instead of 411: why I don't know.
Thanks for information, so, Can I ask how is Google Voice Assistant works well on EU rom?

If phone is rooted, bank apps and Google pay does not work.
If phone is not rooted but bootloader is unlocked, Google pay does not work (unless you have xiaomi.eu)

Thanks for your quick reply. Any chance you try android wear? and Gpay?
Gpay won't work cause bootloader unlocked.
Root the phone and use Magisk modules or install a Xiaomi Eu rom.

wear should work.
gpay and most banking apps are not working, you have to root & safety net patch to make it work.

Thanks for detailed answer. I m thinking of buying it from a well known Chinese shop that will ship it with installed Global Rom on it. If I understand correctly I will have to apply the Bypass safetynet procedure you indicated above to get Banking apps to work. correct?

With a Stock ROM you will need to root the phone and use Magisk modules for the device to be certified.
what purpose does it serve?

If the play store is not certified, no Netflix, etc. and the banking apps do not work.
This is due to the unlocked bootloader on a stock rom.
ok I am now on MIUI EEA.
Flash ok..
Very thanks!
I installed EEA. Have hard time to sign in to google in the beginning...but I found way around...

Hi there, i've just got my CN rom 13 ultra but can't proceed with unlock and flash because of certain issues.
1) I can't use the latest Miunlock version because it gets detected as a virus by McAfee. The version i'm currently on is 6.5.224.28, is that sufficient for 13 ultra?
2) On Miflash i'm told to install certain things, how do i find them for download? I could click on continue but i don't know if it'd work properly nor would i like to risk bricking my new phone due to some unforeseen errors.

Thanks in advance
Also, has anybody tested out the camera system? Mine seems to use the same lens for 1x 3.2x and 5x zoom, no idea if it's a CN rom thing....
EDIT: unchecking "auto adjust lens" fixed that

Correct the path.
For the error create an empty TXT file of the same name.
Thanks, i opened the newest MiFlash without issue. I have a mi account tied to my current xiaomi phone, should i continue to register a new account, which will remove the previous one? Will that render my current phone unusable?

Why use the other account (explanations)?
I'm not sure, but i probably used the same email to either attempt to flash another phone or for my current phone, i can't remember which, as i am using now to log into MiUnlock.
what would happen if i proceed, will i lose ability to use any of my current phones?

The answer is indicated in the screenshot.
Not exactly, it says i won't be able to access the account, not unable to use the phone itself. Now i can't remember if a xiaomi account needs to exist and be tied with a phone for it to be fully usable
