No succes trying to unlock my Swift 2x - Wileyfox Swift 2 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Othe

Hi, I spent several hours trying to unlock my phone. Tried following steps:
* I made a full backup
* I did full reset to original settings: Androïd 8.1.0
* I got myself developers rights
* in settings turned on 'usb debugging' , 'OEM unlock' and 'advanced restart'
After turning off device and restart ('power/vol up' buttons), device started in recovery mode
* downloaded 'ADB + Fastboot-package' on Win10-PC and tried in every conceivable way to install but phone would not not connect; recovery boot indicated device was locked; PC did not recognize phone
and impossible to flash TWRP-recovery
* I installed Magisk-manager on phone with succes to avoid having to use a PC; but then flashing TWRP did not succeed
What did I wrong, what do I wrong? Suggestions VERY welcome. after all this I had rather not return to original OS. Thanks for your help.

With the phone in fastboot mode issue "fastboot devices" make sure you get a response.
Then "fastboot oem unlock - go"

Thank. you very much for your answer. Problem is that after rebooting with <power + volup> I get a menu with ao START (in green), Power off (i n white), Recovery mode (in red) and Restart Bootloader (in red). Further on I read FASTBOOT MODE (in red), product name etc., SECURE BOOT -enabled (in white). and DVEICE. STATE - locked (in red). How do I get my phone in 'fastboot mode'?
Thanks for help.

THIS IS FASTBOOT !

Thank you for trying to help. Of course I know how to get in fastboot mode. My problem is that in 'every' mode my telephone is locked, and I do not succeed in unlocking it. I cannot connect to another device, Magisk installation not complete etc. Again: I have developers right, I unlocked OEM, I did allow USB-debugging but no unlocked device!? What is going wrong, or has Wileyfox blocked the normal unlocking-procedure?

I have exactly the same problem. I do not have access to the phone and a hard reset leads me to having to enter a googe account synced with the device which I do not have the details of. I can enter the mode that you describe above and the FASTBOOT MODE is in red below. Now when I'm here and plug into my laptop wth USB and fire up fastboot.exe and issue 'fastboot device' it just says '< waiting for device >'.
Did you manage to make any progress on this issue at all, I'm really stuck!

download adb and fastboot from here
[OFFICIAL][TOOL][WINDOWS] ADB, Fastboot and Drivers - 15 seconds ADB Installer v1.4.3

forum.xda-developers.com
unzip the file and then install adb and fastboot, no drivers needed on win ten.
enable debugging and debugging notifier on phone.
open a command prompt and do "adb Devices"
the first time you do this you should get a notification on your phone accept it.
do "adb Devices" again and the phone should be seen.
do adb reboot bootloader
you should be in fastboot now
do fastboot devices and then fastboot oem unlock - go.

Thanks robi0800 but I don't have access to the phone so I can't enable USB debugging which means I can't use adb. I am trying to use fastboot but when I issue the command 'fastboot device' it can't connect to the phone and just displays '< waiting for device >'. Any other advice on how to make my Win10 laptop recognise the device when I plug it in so I can use fastoot successfully?

Sounds like you are missing a driver you could try the driver from the package in post #8 above?

Thanks robin0800, I've tried that package with the original Wileyfox red USB cable, no luck unfortunately. My Win10 laptop can see the device in Device Manager but adb Devices will not list anything, neither will fastboot. I don't have access to the phone to enable usb debugging.

Thanks - and to put it in recovery mode is this just Powebutton + Vol Up for several seconds or Vol Down, I can't recall...

Potentially bricked Desire...

Hey everyone, I'm sad to say that earlier I dropped my beloved Desire and it's not booted properly since e.g. I can only get onto the dialer.
The long and short of it is that I can't mount my SD card, clockwork won't allow it and says it has:
E:can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
no such file or directory
E: can't mount /sdcard
And ADB doesn't find my device when I type adb devices.
I've come across a few posts but I'm pretty clueless as to what they actually mean...
I've heard this particular command fixes it in Linux...
sudo mkdir /mnt/cdrom
sudo mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
cd /mnt/cdrom/root
/mnt/cdrom/root/fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
But how would I go about doing that, and is there a way of doing that in Windows? I assume that because adb can't see my device then that's a no... It knows it's plugged in because it makes the connection sound and I can see it in device manager.
It's currently S-OFF'd with AlphaRev 1.8 running a Cyanogenmod nightly that I had running for a few days without problem so I assume it's not that. I can get into Fastboot (not much good if Windows doesn't see my device), bootloader and Clockwork.
I feel really stuck right now and would really appreciate the help of one of you knowledgeable lot.
Bearing in mind I'm not very knowledgeable so anything you explain would really have to be explained well!
Thanks guy's.

When your on bootloader screen and you plug your usb in does it change to say that you have plugged in usb ? because fastboot isn't adb
Hboot has an option for fastboot
Enable the SD Card functionality. Boot your phone in FASTBOOT mode (back + power), and enter this command: 'fastboot oem enableqxdm 0' . This will re-enable your SD card.

it seems to be in fastboot mode - you have to fix your windows driver for fastboot mode, then you can continue with kfu.
driver (under android phone):
normal & recovery boot: -> android composite adb interface
fastboot: -> android adb interface
detailed explanation here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23747671&postcount=2

your device seems to be in fastboot mode - you have selected the wrong driver.
normal & recovery boot: -> android composite adb interface
fastboot: -> android adb interface
normal boot -> adb commands YES -> fastboot commands NO
fastboot -> adb commands NO -> fastboot commands YES
recovery -> adb commands YES -> fastboot commands NO
if the device is in fastboot mode "adb status" is allways "offline".
if you have installed the right driver you can check manually
with "fastboot devices" and "fastboot getvar product".
if you get response to this commands you are good to go.
i finally able to install bootloader and twrp.i thought i never make a mistakes.but unfortunately, during time im backing up stock rom,(nandbackup).i check all the boxes (for the left side) and for right side nothing.its running, when completed.its show huge amount of data (around 780 mb).i really think dat tis is normal for backup.in twrp, and video by tom gt,time for backup for 10 minutes.but me,already 5 hour still stuck in twrp.cant go anywhere.

if you managed to install bootloader and twrp then you are good to go.
you tried to make a backup of the stock firmware and now the twrp is stuck.
i don't know what options you checked, but this should be no problem.
just hold the power button for ~20sec till it turns off and try again.
check only options which exist on your device then the backup should be done in ~10min.

How to root Your MICROMAX IN1B (64GB)

First of all, before i start, I'll make this clear, i have done this procedure and rooted my IN1B successfully BUT if anything goes wrong with your device,
I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKED DEVICES
PreRequisites (Stuff you will need)
So, Let's get into it.
Before Begining, Here are the things you'll need :-
1. A windows PC with all the necessary drivers.
2. ADB and fastboot which you can get from here.
3. A USB C cable, preferably the original one.
4. Make sure your Device is atleast 60% charged.
5. Backup all your data because the very first step will reset your phone.
NOTE- MICROMAX DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY USB DRIVERS. So i had trouble finding the Drivers too, so i recomend you use "Driver booster" it's free, you can get it from here. After installing the driver booster, let it scan and then update all the drivers related to "Android" and "ADB".
That's it, once you are done with all the above points we are good to start.
These are the PATCHED files you need to flash to root your device.
1. Get the files from Here
After you download the files, copy and paste the files in the folder where ADB & Fastboot is located, if you have not changed the Install location, it should be at this directory- C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot
After you paste all the 3 downloaded files in the ADB folder, the process will now start.
Unlocking the BootLoader
The first step is to unlock the boot loader.
1. Connect your device with a USB C cable.
2. Enable USB debugging from the developer options-

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Now run ADB and run this command- adb devices As you run this, something like this should appear on your mobile-
4. Now allow it and Voila!, you are now connected!
5. Now find "OEM Unlocking" and enable it.
6. Now enter this command- adb reboot bootloader As you run this command your device will reboot and show a black screen with only "fastboot" written on it.
7. Now finally Enter this command- fastboot flashing unlock
8. Now it will ask you to confirm, if you change your mind and dont want to root now, press the "Volume-Down" Button or if you want to root, press the "Volume-Up" button.
NOTE- UNLOCK MAY VOID SOFTARE WARRANTY. FOR DETAILS, CHECK THIS (Read 6e)
9. Awesome! Now you have unlocked your boot loader!!
Flashing the Patched Files
Now remember you need the 3 files i linked above, once you get them, paste them in the ADB folder.
Make sure you DON't change the file names.
Let's Start!
1. Run this command- fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
2. After that, Run this- fastboot --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
3 And he final command, run this- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
After all these 3 complete succesfully, Just run- fastboot reboot This will start your device normally, go on and set up your device.
1.As you complete the setup, you should see the magisk app-
2. Now the magisk app will ask you to install the full version, click on confirm and it will install the magisk app, you will have to turn on the "Unknown sources" option.
3. Once it is installed, you can ENJOY YOUR ROOTED IN 1B!!

After 3 seconds device will boot into fasboot mode.
Now connect your device to your computer and it will appear as Android Bootloader Interface in the device manager as shown below.
Then open CMD or Command Prompt Window as Administrator and type command as "fastboot reboot recovery" and hit enter
Once you hit enter "CMD" will show <Rebooting into recovery> and your phone will reboot and show Android One logo and then show a android logo with exclamation mark No command text right below it.
Keep holding Power key and press Volume up once and you will enter recovery mode. Release the keys.
Just to add to this thread: This device uses fastbootd. To get into fastbootd, you must have the latest adb drivers. Connect your phone and type:
adb reboot fastboot -- not "bootloader". This will get you into the fastbootd screen. From there you can type fastboot reboot recovery which will take you into the normal recovery screen. Hope this helps. Remember -- you must be in fastbootd to accomplish this.

You need to type command "fastboot reboot fastboot" first. Then type "fastboot reboot recovery"
You may also face problem booting your device after factory reset. If you do, you need to boot into fastboot again using steps 1-8 and then type command "fastboot --set-active="b""

any thoughts on this? And any way to unlook the bootloader of G10? The tools I found are not working for the G10. I loved to use Magisk for root but since I'm not able to get into Recovery Mode... btw are there any custom roms for the G10?
I tried to enter fastboot through fastboot, a message was displayed. With the fastboot reboot recovey command, the smartphone simply reboots. Diveces Nokia G21

FP4 stucks after unlock the bootloader

Hello together,
today i tried to install /e/ OS on my new FP4.
I did everything like in the official description:
> ## Unlocking the bootloader
>
> 1. Boot the device
> 2. Enable and connect Wifi
> 3. Enable Developer options
> 4. From developer options, enable OEM unlock
> * Get the unlock code from [this site](https://www.fairphone.com/en/bootloader-unlocking-code-for-fairphone-3/) and enter it
> 5. Reboot on fastboot by running the command in the PC console `adb reboot bootloader`
>
> 6.*Tip:** All the console commands are run on an adb enabled PC and in the `adb` console.
>
> 7. Ask for unlock with `fastboot flashing unlock`
> 8. Approve with <kbd>volume +</kbd> then <kbd>power</kbd>
> * The device proceed with a factory reset, and automatically reboots
At 8 i maybe made a mistake, when you are in the fastboot mode, you can choose different options, i choosed something like FFBM or something like this. Then the device restarted and since that it always shows the "blue dots" like in the beginning but nothing more happens, since hours.
I turned it off and on again, without success.
I can not load the fastboot again via ADB, because the device is not recognized.
If i try to use the volumeUP or VolumeDOWN at the startup, nothing happens and it restarts again after a few seconds.
So there is no way for me to enter the fastboot mode again.
So I have two questions to you, lovely community.
One is, can anybody help me?
Second, can somebody tell me how the different options are called in the fastboot mode, so i can google it and do more research.
THANKS a lot and sorry for my english :slight_sm
Hi,
Are you able to launch the stock rom or are u stuck on bootloop or bootloader page ?
If you can launch the stock rom, enable oem, debugging and unlock bootloader in developper options.
Then connect phone to pc with the cable and type adb devices
see if the phone is recopgnized.
Then adb reboot bootloader and do all steps of the official guide.
If you use Windows I suggest you to put all file to your adb folder, type CD /path/to/folder/
And copy paste all commands at once, this will avoid error of mishandling during fastboot operations.
If you stuck on a "waiting for phone" when you are in fastboot mode, check you driver, or test with a linux machine or see Hulk's solution here
If you stuck on a bootloop just use the key combo to enter bootloader. check on the bootloader is everything is ok (unlock) if not redone steps to unlock bootloader, then flash recovery from /e/ os folder fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then enter in recovery use the combo key to have the menu choice between bootloader, recovery... then enter recovery and wipe data...
Then restart the official guide of /e/ os.
You may ask on /e/ os forum too many much more Fairphone user are there and can help you (link i gave you above).

Hello,
thanks for your reply.
I posted the same comment at the /E/ OS Forum as well.
I Can not load the stock rom, there are only this blue dots circling around for hours:

I can not enter anything else, using ADB is not possible because the device is not recognized and the combination of volumeUP and power or volumeDOWN and power only restarts the device.
Do you have a FP4 and you maybe can tell me which options in the top of the fastboot menu you can choose?
Something like reboot and so on.
I will try the solution in your link in a few hours when i have more time.
Thanks a lot and BR
Bootloader menu options are "start / restart bootloader / recovery mode / power off / boot in ffbm / boot to qmmi"
I don't understand your problem if your bootloader is unlock you must have accesss to bootloader.
Are you sure you didn't relock bootloader before checking the rom is correctly installed ?
Contact /e/ support to have the precise combo key to enter bootloader. sometimes it change from phone to phone.
Does your computer works well with adb and fastboot before ? did you already flash rom ? Maybe a driver is missing or adb/fastboot is not on the last version. You may try with a linux pc to aovid those problem.
From /e/ Os website : https://doc.e.foundation/devices/FP4/install
How to Boot into bootloader mode
This section will be relevant later throughout the guide, when you need to reboot into bootloader mode.
Remove any USB-C cable and turn off your Fairphone 4
Tip: If you cannot turn your device off, remove the battery for about 5 seconds, then put it back in.
Press and hold the Volume Down button.
Insert a USB-C cable connected to the power (can either be a power outlet or a computer).
Release the Volume Down button as soon you boot into bootloader mode
For more details on how to erase the data on your FP4 refer this guide
I just try this and works great : power off the phone (if you can't just remove battery as said), press vol down and plug the usb cable
My phone has the bootloader locked and flashing locked and it works. try this
You are my hero.
I dont know how many times i read that but i was to stupid to do that correctly.
Now i tried it again and it worked well!
Thanks a lot!
Problem solved.
Just for other idiots like me, i choosed the option boot into ffbm into the bootloader menu, this was my mistake.
