The back panel is frosted, top and bottom have a decent lip while the sides taper off to show off the curves. Decent corner bumpers.
Cutouts are perfect, plenty of room around the charging port for my cable.
Not the thickest case in the world though so who knows how much safety it will give.
The thread title isn't just for this case, let's see some other beauties.
Only had the phone a few days and this is my third.

that case is cool looking and I prefer thin cases!

Yeah, that was the first one I got too cos I had it on my OP7P, I don't like it on the OP9P though, I think the top and bottom lip are too much, the sides are higher than I'd like too. Have you had your phone come up saying it's going into pocket mode while using it? I have...and it was nowhere near my pocket and the top wasn't covered.

Damn, looks nice on the silver too then. It does feel quite slippy on the back, I would've like it to be textured as well as frosted.

I have this case but the red version. I had to cut away a bit of case material near the earpiece because the phone thought the phone was in my pocket every time.

I think the top might be overlapping too much and making the sensor think the phone is being enclosed (like it would be in your pocket)

I've been testing it out now, and yes, it does trip the pocket mode. I didn't notice it a lot of times because I have face unlock. It would unlock so quickly that I missed it. I toothed the phone to the side so it wouldn't unlock and pocket mode would show.

I have the Olixar ultra thin clear case.
To be found on Amazon, Mobile fun,...
Very thin overal, feels kinda like the phone without a case.
Will probably not protect against drops... But will against scratches and such.
It increases the grip and still showcases the nice Pine Green of the 9pro.
I really like it.
Will see how it keeps up in the future...

A couple of times, yeah. I wondered if maybe there was some dust/dirt covering the proximity sensor at the time (not sure where exactly the sensor is, though) as I do get a fair bit building up around the edges at times. Maybe try blowing or wiping the dust off around the top and see if it still does it?

I think what causes the dust to gather in edges around display is the protective foil because it actually has a sharp edge so whenever you stick your phone into a pocket or take it out, it catches the dust.

I have a Tudia branded version of it, you're right it does feel nice, just enough grip without being rough.
Bought a couple more cases, just for variety, both from Amazon UK (pictures from there too).
First one looks like it's a two piece but isn't, the black rubber bits are a permanent part of the shell. The stand is quite stiff so it stays in place at different angles, looks good.

The second hasn't arrived yet but I liked the techno look it has. Both were about £6.95 - The J&D arrived, it's a proper two part case with a hard rubber inner. The buttons are incorporated into the design as chunky blocks, very nice. Not so nice are the port covers on the base. Because the rubber is hard they don't fit very well, easy solution was to cut them off since I don'r need them anyway.

Just received mine 2 days ago. Feels good in the hand. Very slim profile so it does not add much to the device. Has a good grip surprisingly.

Pretty slick as well.
I am going to order a case from UAG. I have used them in the past and have found them very good.
https://urbanarmorgear.com/products/huawei-p10-plus
Well just got my UAG case. Thanks Amazon for free same day delivery. Really like this case. Great feel to it and doesn't add much bulk at all.
Using a Spigen rugged armor right now though I'm tempted to grab a uag. Have one on my mate 9 - feel it actually adds too much bulk to that already huge ass phone but the P10 plus is a much more reasonably sized device.
I more like ultra thin cases and skins. I half heartedly ordered this case from ali express and it turned out to be a complete gem. Very sleek premium feel and the price is just unbelievable! Peel or Shumuri would easily charge 5x for this case. Anyway, here is the link:
CAFELE soft Case For huawei p10 cases TPU silicon Slim Back Protect Skin Ultra Thin Phone Cover for huawei p10 plus case shell
http://s.aliexpress.com/imuIJBBf
Some photos below, but i can tell the photos dont do justification here... The case is much nicer in real.
Cheers!
Cases i my region are far and few between...mostly because the release was delayed 2 months. It's coming out THIS month but I've had my P10 plus for a month now and used it as my primary phone for the last week. I'd had to say without question my favourite across any phone is the South Korea RINGKE FUSION.
It's mostly a range of CLEAR cases, so if you're looking for colour, look elsewhere
It shows off the phone how it was meant to be shown
Is a great mixture of TPU silicone (side/edges/buttons etc) and hard plastic (back)
The 4 corners/bumpers have airpockets to absorb impact of drops
1.5mm raised at the back to prevent the camera hitting the ground and cracking
If you like this sort of thing - has soft TPU dust pocket covers for 3.5mm jack and USB port

RoOSTA
I have several cases and I really love this blue one with sandstone finish : it feels good in hands and less slippy than other cases. The only con is it hides the phone's beauty.
The original one that came with the phone is good too but the only thing I don't like about it is the camera part : it offers no real protection to the lenses, the entire area on the case is empty there.
I have the red version of this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...+plus+case&dpPl=1&dpID=41Hh9e7edaL&ref=plSrch
I need something to protect it from knocks drops and dust etc as there is a high chance of that at work.
The case is fudging huge and heavy. However its a trade I'm willing to accept to keep my phone safe.
Couldn't resist the urge to order a UAG Plasma case. They just offer great protection while not adding a ridiculous amount of bulk. Whilst some of their older designs are kind of ugly the newer stuff is sexy as.

X-Level Guardian case
Was my favorite case for the Pixel 2XL.
Feels a bit smoother and not as grippy but it may just need to be broken in a bit.
Cutouts are precise and buttons are okay. Not as tactile as I'd like but satisfactory.
I don’t like bulky cases and this keeps the phone slim.

J&D Clear case
Way grippier in hand than the X-level.
Shows off the phone's design/color a lot better.
Shutter button is a bit on the mushy side.
Dust and smudge magnet. However, fairly resistant to regular finger prints.

Wood Pattern cases
Wood pattern looks good. No texture, just a smooth back
Makes the phone even less grippy (if that's even possible)
Buttons are hard to press and hard to feel because of minimal feedback
Cases are more for looks than anything else

Thank you for the link! Yeah I don't know if that Taobao seller ships to the US. I tried to checkout but it doesn't seem to let me. It's unfortunate because I see several cases on Taobao that I don't see anywhere else. Hopefully they reach other sites soon.
I got the official Sony case with kickstand. It's made of a hard textured material with plenty of grip. The fit is nice - tight but also easy to remove. It also does not add much bulk - only a bit at the corners and top & bottom. I am pleased with it.

Mercury Goospery Soft case (Midnight Blue)
Same mold/design as the X-Level case
Material is softer to the touch. Slightly grippier and feels better in hand
Wish the buttons were more tactile but are satisfactory
Susceptible to finger grease but wipes off easily enough
Love the midnight blue color
Devil Case Lite
High quality case, made in Taiwan
Milspec drop resistance (MIL-STD-810G-516.6)
Constructed with clear plexi rear panel and textured side bumper.
Alloy buttons for volume rocker, Google Assistant key, and Shutter release. Google Assistant Key is removeable*
Alloy buttons can be purchased separately in different colors and have best feel of any of the cases and is similar bare/naked buttons
Alloy shutter release button has the best "feel" for using the shutter button. Easy and smooth 2-stage travel.
Sides are gently rounded and thicker than most cases and spreads against your palm adding comfort. Very fine texturing adds to grip even in wet/slippery conditions
Clear back panel picks up fingerprints very easily. Due to the construction of the cutouts, dust/lint can enter and is drawn to the clear back plate via static. The case looks superb when clean and dust free but this may be very short-lived. Not recommended for those with OCD
Exepnsive and may not be available in your region
I have the blue and the black (pictured) version
All cutouts are perfect
Lanyard holes are included
Spigen Rugged Armor
High quality case, slim case
Rounded edges with diagonal channels for added grip
Constructed from TPU. Rear has finely textured surface with immunity to fingerprints
All cutouts are perfect
Shutter button is a touch stiff and may add vibration when using it to take photos
Lightweight
Only comes in black
Lanyard holes are included
Case fits very snuggly will dislodge case friendly screen protectors unless applied precisely
Excellent case for the money

I wish more case makers would adopt this method. The rounded edges of this phone make it nice to hold, but also cause it to be a bit slippery in hand.
A Nillkin case for my 6p had a textured grip on it's edges and it worked really well.
I am a case junky myself. It's the small details that intrigue me. However. I've grown to find out that there is no such thing as an endgame case.
I believe that's why the new iPhones have brought back the squared off sides in their design. Logic would suggest that a flat surface won't grip as well, but the edge does help vs a rounded one.
It is important that the shutter button have a precise feel especially if you are using the pro camera and video apps. I've been a photo buff since ages ago dating back to film.
I wish this phone had more high quality cases available for it but in the meantime I will enjoy the hunt.

Hi,
can you tell me the brand of the screen protector in these pictures?
I have one from Spigen, but I lost sensibility in the corners. The good thing is that it covers the whole screen.
Thanks
Giorgio
Hi. The screen protector I am using is from Devil Case Taiwan.
I was planning to do a review on it after having it for a longer period of time.
It is the 4th tempered glass protector I have used on the Xperia 5 II.
- Well made, with all edges rounded. Case friendly
- Cutout for front camera and proximity sensor. Notches for top and bottom speaker
- No black borders
- This version has a matte, anti glare finish. The difference is similar to viewing a TFT monitor vs an IPS monitor. Overall brightness is down around 10% and fine clarity is down around 5%. Some vividness is reduced, perhaps 2%
- Anti glare properties work well in bright sunlight
- Does not have adverse effects using polarized sunglasses except reduced brightness
- Surface coating is extremely smooth virtually as good as no screen protector. Fingerprints are reduced greatly and cleaning is very easy
- No issues with using Side Sense gestures
- Only one screen protector is included in the package. No mounting bracket included but accessories like alcohol wipe and microfiber cloth are included and high quality
- Touch sensitivity is quite good overall but a very slight reduction is notable in the corners. Compared to other glass screenn protectors I have tested, this reduction is very minor. This could change after a period of time, but long term data not available. I waited a full 12 hours after applying before using the phone to ensure that the screen protector adhered properly
- Relatively expensive and may not be available in your region
I hope this helps you. I believe a clear version of this screen protector exists but was sold out at the time. If it is constructed like this one, it may be the one to consider if a matte finish is not preferable.

YTF Carbon Fiber Case
Incredibly light and very rigid. Feels like no case is on the device. Weight with tempered glass screen protector, phone, and case is less than 183g!
Carbon pattern is uniform and consistent through the case. The pattern is diagnonal and it appears as though a single piece was used to make the case
Soft touch and warm to the touch even when cold
Very low glare and very fingerprint resistant
Friction fit. Easy to attach but a bit more difficult to remove
There are 4 vertical slits, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom of the case to allow some "give" when inserting the phone into the case. Dust or sand could enter through these cutouts but appears to be a neccessity as to this particular design
Very little lip on topmost (screen) portion. With a tempered glass screen protector, the screen protector protrudes above the case. This may prevent one from resting the phone on the screen side
No lanyard holes are included
Lip around camera lens cutout protrudes above the lense and therefore adds in protecting the lens
All buttons feel like OEM as none are replaced by case buttons
Cutout for flash about 1 mm off in alignment. It's still acceptable
Some edges were sharp and were rounded down with 2000 grit wetsandpaper. This was very minor but should be mentioned
No problems noted with WiFi, Bluetooth, or cellular transmission
Generally with open style cases, some dust or sand may intrude via the sides or openings. However, this case fits very tightly so this may prevent debris from entering. Caution must be taken if removing the case after a trip to the beach or dusty environment
Unique and high quality design. The carbon fiber pattern is attractive and very high tech looking
All cutouts besides the aforementioned flash area are perfectly aligned
Since no reviews were found on this case, some risk to first adopters. I personally think this case has gone through a few iterations to perfect the cutout alignment
Unknown shock resistance or long term durability
Purchased from AliExpress. Surprisingly quick shipment from China to Canada (around 2 weeks), especially during the Christmas season
Reasonably priced for what the case is, ~ $32 CAD including shipping.
If you a fan of sleek minimalism, this is definitely recommended

What cases would you recommend for S21?

The S21 is not shipped yet, but different kinds of cases are already out. Is it OK to buy one now? What would you recommend?

I was looking at this case. Friend had one in the past says it doesn't offer much protection he had iPhone though. I was debating this or the spigen one. I prefer a thinner case I like spigen but I find it add bulk/weight to it.

they don't go over-the-head on prices. I know, I always hear: "oh, so you spent over a thousand bucks on the phone and then put it in a cheap case!", Well a case is a case, one has to be careful regardless of the assumed 'perfect' protection and not let the phone drop to the floor. Looks like this is the only available so far Ringke case on Amazon. To me, the Ringke Fusion-X is the most solid, been using one right now on my Pix 4a5g.
I will be getting the Galaxy S21 Ultra S-View Cover with S Pen – $89.99 eventually, when I get my $50 pre-order bonus, I use the S-View cover on my N10+ and after 1.5 years of use its condition can still be called 'mint'
Not loving any of the case options so far. Most look bulky. The S21 Ultra is a chonker already, so I want something slim that looks good.
Spigens slim fit case looks ok but their 'slim' cases aren't super slim these days, not like the ones they used to make for older phones... and it only comes in a generic plain black.
Samsung's official leather case looks the best so far, and I like the idea of leather, feels and looks nice rather than plain old TPU or hard plastic of most cases.
Just wish they had some more variety in colour and design. You just have brown or black... I think I'll get the black one, and then see if anything more interesting comes out.
Another one that caught my eye is this Nillkin case with nylon fabric on the back:

It actually looks just like the official case I have for my Oneplus 6, wonder if they made it too. If it's just like it, it'll be a nice case. The fabric on the back feels nice in the hand and looks good in person. Plus it doesn't collect fingerprints.
I pre-ordered the LaterCase, I had the cyber series for my note 20 ultra and loved it, the way it covers the camera bump, so right after i pre-ordered my s21 ultra, i went to LasterCase and ordered a case from them.

Ture. Not a fan of bulky cases because they just do not look good. Haven't seen any cases with the s pen holder beside the Samsung one.
I'm waiting for the PITAKA case for my S21. https://www.ipitaka.com/?country_override=US. The quality of their cases is super good as those cases are made of aramid fiber. I bought their MagEZ case 2 years ago. Though the case is slim, it saved my phone from several severe falls. I can't think of any other cases for my S21.

I swore by these cases since the Brick series came out, and the FIRST time I dropped my S20, it shattered. I went with a better case after that, which is a shame because I love the design.
Oh, and the one they made for the iPhone 12 was godawful. They show it as the same matte back, but it's so frosted you can't see anything through it, it just looks white on my Blue 12 Pro.

I don't understand why they don't protect the buttons though. It looks like a really nice case but they leave the buttons unprotected.

I was going to purchase the black leather but then I decided to look at the reviews of the leather cases for the s20 and note 20 series on Samsung's web site. Not good reviews at all in terms of durability. So still have not made my mind up on what case.
Get a good case* and urethane wet apply** screen protectors -before- it arrives.
Damaging a high dollar phone on the first drop isn't worth going bare even for a few days.
It's new and there be slim pickens. You'll probably toss a few because they suck.
On my 10+ I always use the Zizo Bolt case (not available for your model yet) and Gorilla IQ Sheild.
*a two layer is best; urethane inner liner with a polycarbonate outer shell. Raised guards around the whole screen and cam.
Corners that can take a direct strike on concrete from 4 feet.
**dry apply are horrors to apply and don't last as long.
Most probably I will be buying UAG Monarch Rugged or Plasma Series. Special below two looks great!
Above one is transparent will look dope on Silver phone !
Also interested in Spigen Hybrid cases the Clear one but UAG are way better in protection and in hand feel ! I had one for S8+ and iPhone and ever since then I missed it for my OP phones!

Accessories Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 Case Thread

First time getting a fold phone, any recommendations on cases that don’t add too much bulk ?
the official Aramid cover looks good: https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/m...z-fold3-5g-aramid-cover-black-ef-xf926sbegus/

Z Fold2 owners will know as the case options are probably similar except for Fold3 cases to house the S Pen.

Touche, but i didn't get the pen yet. I'm going to get use to the Fold first, never owned one.
I rodered the same case as I have on the Fold 2, Spigen Tough Armor Designed for Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G Case (2021) - Black
What I like about it is the hinge cover folds in, and the thing sits flatter on a desk than the Slim Armour.
I'd like an S Pen case that doesn't cover the front. Also, I don't think it will lay well on a table with the S Pen case samsung offers. Not sure how to fix that, maybe extend the case past the phone on the right side instead of placing it on the spine? Looks like there is definitely room for a 3rd party to improve on this.

Agree that would be a major fail if the S Pen case hindered use of the S Pen!
I ordered the Spigen Thin Fit Case for the time being. I plan on getting an Otterbox case once they're available (Otterbox won't ship to me for some reason and can't find on Amazon Canada yet), but I think this will do for now. Hoping maybe dbrand will make an ultra thin skin for the hinge to at least give it some scratch protection, as I'm not liking Spigen's offerings for hinge protection in cases.
Do any of the above cases provide a silo for teh Spen to fit in? I cant see that they do.
Do any cases in general provide this?

Nothing yet, but hopefully someone will come out with a case solution that doesn't make a giant hump on the back.
I ordered a later case since i have them on my Note 20 Ultra and S21 ultra and like them alot.
Will need something a little more robust for the gym probably.
Can anyone recommend a sleeve? i will use that until i find i case i want.
I don't know if it exists but I'm looking for something with a kickstand that'd let you prop the phone up maybe 10-20 degrees for writing with an S Pen, or mostly upright for watching content. I guess it's tricky to do as propping the phone upright blocks the charging port, while propping sideways makes it want to fold when you draw on it.

I love Flossy, man does reviews like a human being, it's awesome. Shoes is a great co-host too lol.
I have the leather flip. Aramid and spen case will be arriving next week.
From YouTube review it looks like the S Pen case from Samsung won't allow the Fold3 to lay flat so not easy for Note taking.
Same as always, no case on mine. I've taken to using this slim cross body bag all the time, it has loads of space for phone and extras and is so flat it disappears under a jacket or shirt. I'm impressed with the quality considering it cost £14.64 from aliexpress with a 10 day delivery

Another review of the S Pen Case

Accessories Cases that hide the camera bump

Little disappointed to see that the official case doesn't smooth out the camera bump (though not really surprised considering it is their design choice after all). But I imagine this will be a popular request, so figured I'd get the ball rolling with a thread. Post your finds!
You can't "smooth" it out without increasing the overall bulk of a case.
What's the point?
At the same time the cam needs at least a slightly raised guard for proper protection.
I blew off the N20U because of this in favor of another N10+, to avoid Android 11 and other known issues.
I've been looking since I ordered. The Spigen Tough Armor comes the closest I've seen, so far, to having a flat back.

Good find, looks pretty close if you go on their main website (extra picture that Amazon doesnt have): https://www.spigen.com/collections/...6-pro-case-tough-armor?variant=40023033937967
Much more expensive, but you get a 30W charger for free until Oct 31. Not really a deal since Amazon is ~$20 less, but almost break-even with the charger.

Many reasons. For example. laying the device flat is important for some existing wireless charging mats. And if you own a Tesla that has something like that built in, it's not as easy as just getting a new one (might not be an issue with that specific example but we wont know until we get it).

Yeah that case looks the best.
Found a YouTube review of those Spigen cases. Looks like it is indeed 100% flat, the camera cutout actually ends up being slightly concave:

And their website is a hoot, too! They're very convincing with their light-hearted commentary on their products. Tempting; we'll see, I usually go with Otterbox Defender. Thanks!
In the meantime, I ordered two, one for myself and one for my wife, for now (able to return until 1/31/2021):
Myself - Spigen Tough Armor Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro Case (2021) - Gunmetal
Wife - Spigen Slim Armor CS Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro Case (2021) - Rose Gold
Also 2x Magglass Tempered Glass Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro Screen Protector (2021) UHD Full Coverage Display Guard (Case Compatible)
We've both had Otterbox Defender on our phones starting with the Pixel 1 / Pixel XL 1, so I also signed up to be notified when each of these are in stock (I assume they're gauging how much interest there is): Otterbox Pixel 6 Pro Defender / Defender Pro
I'd probably buy the blue Defender, not the Pro, although I'd likely wait until I can get it on sale.

They have a good impact protection rating. Same composite design as the Zizo Bolt case with the polycarbonate retaining shell. This design can usually take a wicked multiple impact 2-4 foot drop onto concrete with zero damage and not coming apart.
I've been looking for something similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro's rubbery clear case, but haven't found anything like it yet (new search). Anyone see anything like it?
I see someone else already mentioned the dbrand grip case, which I'll second. I don't have mine yet, but in my research it seems to be the best option if you want to fully eliminate the hump. But I do want to point out that there are a few other "special edition" options you can get that aren't directly accessible from the main https://dbrand.com/shop/grip/google-pixel-6-pro-cases link. You have to go to the separate section of the website to get them.
If you're really looking to hide the bump, I think the teardown one does a really good job.

I got this Binceen case and it pretty much is flush with the camera bump. Maybe a tiny bit shorter.

Any case that even outs the bump will result in an extremely beefy thickness - unless your hands are huge, you will feel the difference, it will feel quite odd, and it will make handling the phone one handed much more difficult.

Inverse is true actually. The darned thing is so narrow and thin that its hard to hold without widening and thickening it up.
This case does very much hide the bump. However I do not believe it allows wireless charging and it makes the phone a brick. I use it because I need the protection at work, and by keeping it face down in the holster I don't need a screen protector (I remove the included one).
