[Question] Upgrading converted T-Mobile 7T to OxygenOS 11 Global - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

I recently converted my T-Mobile 7T variant to Oxygen OS 10 Global variant and it's working amazingly, I rooted the device too but I only use root to install a custom font but I really like OnePlus sans in Oxygen OS 11
So my question is that, can I download a Oxygen OS 11 Global Rom on my OnePlus?
If I local upgrade it, through the system updater, I'll lose root? And will I have to backup my stuff or I can just go ahead and do it without my data getting reset?
Let me know if there is a longer procedure than this

Okay, thank you so much!
I did the local upgrade and I didn't have to backup and it just had everything I already did, except that I lost my root which is fine, thanks again

Question Looking for 11.2.10.10 Modem from T-Mobile firmware

Hi all,
If someone could post the modem from 11.2.10.10, that'd be great!
The T-Mobile OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro never got Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10, they went straight from Oxygen OS 11.2.7.7 to Oxygen OS 12 C.16. Click the link below to see what I mean.

Thanks again!

OOS 12 OB 2

Strange, it seems to me that this forum has completely died. Considering that Oneplus 7t is already an old device, I can understand that. But no one, absolutely no one comments on the new update that came out, OOS 12 as OB1 and very soon after OB2. Bearing in mind that Beta 1 and 2 were released for the Indian version and not for Global or EU... Does anyone have any experience and what are their first impressions? Can it be used as a daily driver on this device? Does Magisk Roor work? OOD? Did you so complete whipped all data before flashing? Can you install it over Ob5 (officially it suggested to flash it over latest stable version)? Did anyone install it on EU or Global variant 7t (again, officially ther is significant difference on Android 12, between India and Global/Eu variant)?

Ob2 fixed dead fastboot mode on ob1. Works great for eu or global OP7T. Very stable and perfect for DD. Keeps data if "local update" (download file via oxygen updater app). Rooting via magisk-patching boot.Img and then "fastboot flash boot magiskpatchedboot.Img" works fine. This "IN" version does not have IN bloat and meant for all op7t. After update booted up fine then do it again to install ob2 into slot B.

Thanks for these details. Does this mean that it is safe and that without data loss it can be flas directly from OB5 (Global) ?
How is battery? Speed? Benefits and cons, compare to OB5 oos11 ?
Your, subjective filing?
Thanks in advance

Yes on updating with data preserved. Battery is better than oos11. Faster and smoother than oos11.

I'm curious. What do you guys still need root for? My phones were always rooted since my Nexus S until Nexus 5, but on my 7T I don't find it necessary anymore.

that I use), it's must for me
And I apologize for being boring, but just to confirm one more time... There is no difference between the Indian version and the EU/International version in terms of modems and frequencies for 3g/4g connection? Or so ever, to be obstacle to use it as main driver in Europe or World wide?
I am on OB5 International but I live in Europe.

How To Guide OnePlus 9 Pro TMO Le2127 Converted to Global Le2125 OOS 13

First convert to EU using the TMO to EU MSM Tool then install global firmware from the OnePlus website. Update it all the way to C.65 then install the OOS 13 F.17 firmware, go into settings and factory reset and your done VOILA ! Everything works including 5G mm wave with no root or data retention.

How's it running for you so far ?
This is the 5G speed I'm getting with the OOS 13 OB2 stock Rom no modem retention file.
A few pointers though it is advised to disable the sim before a reboot waiting a minute upon the os booting up and then enabling the sim. This works for me no issues. Sometimes have to enable and disable it twice before it works. But after that no cutting out or anything.
Does anyone have a solid fix for the SIM not connecting right away after reboot on the OB2 13 rom ? It's not that big a deal but would be nice to have a smooth connection without disabling data when restarting the phone ?

Do you remember the name of the app been looking but there is a lot of them
You can use 5G Switch to access radio power on/off but it doesn't do anything for a smoother connection.

As well as Verizon. Probably more useful on Verizon, they have more mmWave coverage, and the 9 Pro has a 5G UW icon for mmWave on Verizon.
There's a new OOS 13 stable update out for the OnePlus 9 Pro. I'm concerned about installing it on my global converted Le2127 that's running fine with the 13 OB2. Has anyone installed it yet on their converted 9 Pro ?

I installed it on my converted 2127 to 2125 and it's perfectly fine! As a matter of fact, I also disabled the 2127 Data Fix module (2 sim card bug) and it's actually coming up as only 1 sim! Confirmed after rebooting the device a couple times just to be on the safe side
