Hi everyone,
I didn't do anything special to my phone, no messing with it from system point of veiw.
Yet yesterday it just bricked.

I am on latest OxygenOS version that is the only thing that I can say right now :/
One thing -> It is detectable by PC when switched on into that mode or into Recovery mode.
Did anyone here had similar issue? Or maybe you know what at least I should try on my own?
I contacted Oneplus Support already, but it is weekend and I just stuck without phone...
Cheers!

Device Model?

LE2123

hold volume up/down and power. It should reboot

Thanks,
I tried that but nothing changed.
I tried to reboot also from recovery mode but the same result.

Message oneplus for a remote session they fixed mine

Thanks
Did ask for it already, just hoped that there is some other DIY solution
But seems that I need to wait for that session

Did you save the msm tool? Do you still have the download link? Can you pm them to me?
NVM thought you were OP haha

Did you try keep holding the Power button for approximately 10 seconds, the phone should shutdown. and when completely off, just press Power + Vol Up + Vol Down to boot into fastboot mode. To boot normally just select Start by pressing the power button.

In my previous OnePlus devices, whenever this has happened, I was always able to get out by simply pressing Power +Vol Up+Vol Down all three buttons together to reboot into fastboot, try this combinations as well.

Yep,
Did that once on my OP5T and then it worked, but here no option from fastboot works, neither recovery mode, start or restart bootloader. :/

Can you get to fastbootd? From the bootloader screen type
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot

Doesn't apply to his LE2123, that's why I asked for his model to begin

I have fixed my past devices from this issues by following these steps:
1. Download latest firmware from OnePlus (Official Site or XDA Links)
2. Extract the downloaded file and there will be "payload.bin" file that you need to extract by using a payload dumper (you may try this link or this one)
3. Once you have all the images (img ) files to flash the phone you can use this guide for flashing.
Disclaimer:: If you have not done something similar or not sure what this is and not comfortable with this, please avoid following this guide.
All the best!

Nope, didn't showed up.
I've got my remote session to learn that they cannot help, device need to be send to repair.
2/10, since Remote session technician didn't even knew my problem, when I stated to him that I cannot do his instructions because of my error then he realized that they cannot help me like that.

[Q] Bricked and can't get into download mode.

I have a rooted Sprint G2 and got the notification to update to KitKat, but when I did it restarted and said:

OP can you access twrp? if you can you can flash this file http://www.rwilco12.com/Files/Garwynn%20Projects/LS980/ZVAtoZVC/ZVCRadio_Full.zip (Thank @garwynn for this if this works) and you should have download mode back if not then you are beyond my knowledge and will need help from a more knowledgeable person
No unfortunately I can't. The same, or very similar thing happened two weeks ago when I was trying to flash TWRP but after the phone ran out of battery and I plugged it back in, it turned on no problem. That didn't happen this time though, so I'm really stuck.
I thought I was bricked also and couldn't get into download mode. This is how I was able to use the flash tool. Vol down and power to get into recovery. You should get an error. Then power off the phone completely. Plug into usb to connect to computer. Then vol up and power for download mode. Make sure you have already installed the driver.
Hope this helps.

the point of that thread is to flash the laf partition using fastboot, (which is download mode).
here is a laf.img
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/LS980/Stock_Firmware/zv8_partitions/laf.img
(might also need to flash the boot.img
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/LS980/Stock_Firmware/zv8_partitions/boot.img
*in cmd prompt, go to the folder where you have fastboot (copy both laf.img and boot.img to same folder), then do fastboot flash laf.img and fastboot flash boot.img.
( cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot ) (just an example)
once flashed, you should be able to get into download mode.
Ive had the exact screen you have had before, and this is what i had to do to get download mode to work.

I have to have Android SDK tools installed right?
Yes, you will need the SDK tools installed.
Just wanted to point out something real quick here, I see up a couple posts back, you pushed the power button for D/L mode but you do not hit the power button at all to get into D/L mode, you only need to hold VOL+ and plug the USB into the computer, this starts download mode. Once you get D/L mode back.
I had a very similar problem, when I flashed D801 rom on my LS980, I believe what I did was, to flash .boot as jcwxguy suggested but I think I also flashed .recovery both in fastboot mode with ADB and that brought back my D/L mode, here is a guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131284 , go to FLASHING YOUR FILES IN FASTBOOT. best of luck!
So i flashed both files, thank you by the way, and they both flashed just fine but I still can't get into download mode. Here's the corresponding output on the phone and also what command prompt showed.
Code:
[5376060] fastboot: getvar:partition-type:laf
[5376180] fastboot: getvar:max-download-size
[5376440] fastboot: download:00f00000

So I have myself a little conundrum. The phone's battery is dead so when it charges enough to turn on and install the update it dies halfway through the installation. Is there anyway to keep it from installing the update so it can charge enough?
Man, wish I could help out here but not sure about that one, maybe someone more knowledgeable out there knows a way out of this?
Nevermind, I was able to use a charger at my university that has a higher voltage output for quicker charging and it worked. My phone is fully functional. Thank you too everybody who helped and provided the appropriate files, you have no idea how happy I am!
cool, glad to hear you got it worked out. Congrats :good:

Do a qfil reflash again.
Before the issue I made a TWRP backup, then I installed an AOSP, then made a system restore, then a full TWRP restore. Got boot loop and then did QFIL restore and bootloop again, QFIL restore again and still bootloop.

Do u have animation in lenovo logo?
No, just static logo. I just deleted all partitions and created a single ext4 partition, tried QFIL again and still bootloop.
Go into recovery and reboot to bootloader. Connect phone to pc via usb cable open up a cmd screen make sure adb, fastboot and device drivers are installed. Enter stock rom location and open terminal in that folder.Enter this commands:
fastboot devices
(if a device shown then continue)
fastboot -i 0x1ebf erase boot
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
this must fix if not we can look other solutions.
I can detect device in fastboot:
Code:
fastboot devices
6c3edc24 fastboot
Code:
fastboot.exe -i 0x1ebf erase boot
<waiting for any device >
Then tried:
Code:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
Still bootloop

I've flashed lots of times with QFIL but I get the same result, tried formating to ext4, restoring qcn and nothing gets it out of bootloop.
Then I tried as follows:
I flashed TWRP 3.1.0.0
Flashed AospExtended (No sim or baseband detected)
Rooted
Downloaded the qcn file lenovoP1c58.qcn
Tried with the qcn restore option in QFIL but now it seems there is an issue with the connection. I followed the steps:
adb shell
su
setprop sys.usb.config diag

hay i have the same problem but i cant see any thing new in device manager ,and the pc cant recognize the phone

Any way to enter EDL mode without disassembling the phone?

Vol up/down + USB cable doesn't work, and I read one post that says the deep flash cable doesn't work either. Bootloader is locked.
I have the full body ceramic version, so there aren't any disassembly directions available so I could take it apart and ground the EDL points...
Current ROM is just boot looping, wiping data doesn't help, and only ROM I seem to be able to flash is the same one (latest global beta).... Just want to downgrade back to global stable.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Yes. When you start it from recovery, it says it needs ADB, and reboots the phone to OS (which bootloops - no way to activate ADB in OS).
Edit: Same with starting XiaomiTool when in FastBoot - it needs ADB enabled from the OS....
Hello, hello! Here's the link how to disassemble mix2:
1obzor.com/news/razborka-xiaomi-mi-mix-2.html
after opening here is the instruction on how to enter EDL mode:
en.miui.com/thread-1351514-1-1.html
links without the htts: // prefix
since I'm a new member
This was happened to my xiaomi Max.
i tried using fastboot to boot into EDL, it didnt work.
using fastboot-edl -> reboot.bat, it show success message but actually my phone only restarted and stuck in "Mi" Logo.
what i did to boot into EDL are :
- While phone still connected to pc and phone in fastboot mode i try to hold the power button
- After the screen blinked (it restarted), i pressed both vol + and vol - and after i hear a plug in sound in my PC Windows i release the power button
- Then the screen will stay Blank (With background light) but after i refresh MiFlash application, it will detected as COM20 or something.
- Then i do flashing and it works!
Hope it will help to solve your problem
To enter EDL on mix 2 without disassembling. Boot the phone into bootloader then you type "fastboot oem edl" on your computer then you can flash the phone normally with mi flash tool. Hope this suggestion can help!
the miui version cant be installed on this device

I am an idiot i have self inflicted this issue. I flashed from 8.11.8 to 10.0.0.1 i mistake clicked flash and lock.bat now the device is locked and will not boot. Cannot boot into edl as bootloader locked. cannot recovery as I have no twrp. cannot unlock as device is not bound to account. cannot debug mode as device will not boot to OS. I have truly made my life complicated not purposely. cannot shutdown the device to get into Deep flash mode
Thank you people, apologies for wasting your time.
Same situation.. still trying to find a way to get out of this. But i can help you somehow as i figured out how u can switch off the phone.
1. Copy and rename any file to twrp.img and save it in a folder
2. Open cmd and change directory to where u saved the twrp.img file
3.Just boot into fastboot and type this command
fastboot boot twrp.img
It will try to push this to your phone ane eventually fail. You will get a message on your phone saying "system destroyed and press power button to switch off"
Thats how i switch it off each time lol

This application is very interesting. I wanted to ask something:
1) Is there to use the xml file that is in the post?
2) just what to give the path of the extracted ofp rom and then hit download? All the extracted files must be in the same folder I guess. is that so?
If so, it is a very good solution for our Realme GT Master

The attached file should then be placed as you say in the same folder as the extracted rom? Perfect!

At the moment I only access edl from the adb reboot edl command. I cannot access from fastboot with the fastboot reboot edl or fastboot oem edl commands. What command is used to access edl from fastboot?
¿Can you help me with this?
I already put all the files inside the firmware folder
edit rawprogram0,1,2,3,4,5 and delete the lines causing issues

If it's not too much trouble for you, could you explain it to me? If the phone is off, press vol - and connect to the pc or what other way can there be?
Generally when the phone is bricked it does not go into recovery.
thanks for your help

Help "failed to write partition" error Redmi 5A (riva)

I had installed in this phone a custom rom a few months back for my friend. Yesterday he told me that the device froze when he was browsing the phone gallery app, and a few minutes later the phone rebooted and couldn't pass the mi logo (so the system wasn't loading I guessed, because the logo of the ROM wasn't showing). I tried to enter TWRP, but even there the phone would get stuck on the TWRP splash page and rebooted back to the MI logo. So I tried to reinstall TWRP (I have still access to fastboot mode) and, after, a newer version, but the problem was the same. I tried booting a recovery image without installing it (fastboot boot twrp.img) and the problem was similar, but instead of rebooting to the MI logo, the phone would get stuck on the TWRP logo. I tried with OrangeFox recovery too, but same problem. I read in another post that it may be a problem with the /data partition, so I (fastboot erase userdata) and tried again the above recovery installation, but it didn't work. I, then, tried to wipe all partion via fastboot, and tried the command "fastboot erase system -w", but it didn't work either. So I tried the way to restore the phone with MiFlash tool, I found the firmware I needed, I flashed it, and after ~4s it gave me the error "failed to write partiton" (see image).

I tried with another firmware (this time based on Oreo instead of Nougat), same error. I searched a solution for this error, but I found nothing helpful. Now I have the phone working (=it can power on) and can access to fastboot, but don't know what to do. Can someone out there, with maybe a clearer idea of what's going on, help me? Thanks in advance
Update:
I found out that the problem is flashing this file "gpt_both0.bin" (which is the partition table). Every firmware that I tried failed to flash when trying to fastboot this file. So I tried to remove the line (
Code:
fastboot %* flash partition "%~dp0images\gpt_both0.bin" || @echo "Flash tz error" && exit /B 1
) from the flash_all.bat and everything was flashed without errors, but the phone won't start, so this file is necessary. Flashing it separately gave me the same error (failed to write partition). So, I ask again for help, hoping that someone will come to save me
I have same issue. Did you get any working method?

Does your phone go in fastboot? Mine doesn't, but is recognised as QHSBULK 9008, also it's not recognised in adb devices or mi tool

Yes, my phone goes into fastboot. The name QHSBULK 9008 sounds like the phone goes in edl mode. I'm not sure, but searching around I found out it's the name of the phone when it's recognised as by it's qualcomm drivers, or something similar

Only (hardware) method possible is to hold the power button and the volume down(-) button simultaneously and wait for the fastboot screen/logo

Already tried, and it gave me the same error. I really hope it's not a motherboard issue, because a replacement is not worth it. Thanks anyway
