Question [MIUI 12][Update][Issues] Update reports on MIUI EU 12.0.5.0 RKHEUXM OTA - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hi,
I just received a notification this update is possible.
I'm looking for people who have noticed any new issues on this update.
Any issues such as the MIUI optimization slider being hidden in the dev settings or issues with the battery drain, or with the screen.
I'm aware these updates are made to fix issues supposedly but I can't help but think that they could introduce issues as well.

Sorry but I don't understand 4.8 of what ? And what does no DC (Direct Current?? Draining Current??) means ?

Eu weekly 21.4.8,DC is dimming

The EU MIUI ROM doesn't receive weekly updates at least for my EU MIUI ROM and it's latest version is not 21.4.8. Sorry if I misunderstood something here but could you be a bit more precise about what is EU weekly 21.4.8? I understand that the dimming screen issue is gone thanks.

I did that nothing happened.I must restart the phone now because when I clear data of battery app that doesn't help and reinstall dont work.Battery app is on the phone and shows usage but in app management shows as never used.

No, it behaves tge same.Stays 120hz till random going 60hz and only reboot helps.Happens 1-2 times a day.

Edit: adding screenshot.
Hmm that is infamous "stable" global beta rom... You cannot download it on official site, but you can only get it by OTA, and only selected users had that option.
My advice is to back up everything and do factory reset. It is not strange that something gets messed up while updating MIUI8 to MIU9..

i'm new to redmi devices so i don't know their updates schedule. I mean how many beta builds are coming in next few weeks/months? Do theyprovide weekly beta builds?
I don't want to wipe my data and setup again my whole settings. As I prefer Fastboot rom. so it wipes everything on phone. I knke twrp is also a good way to update withoit data loss but still anyonr tell me Mi update schedule.
I install over 9.5.13 with TWRP, only wipe dalvik and cache, i don't have problems. I can't connect 4g only 3g.
Battery was much better on the Chinese beta..

Super slow GPS on mi Max 3

Hi guys,
I have the mi Max 3 unlocked, with TWRP and rooted.
I have been running it with RevOS and now with GSI Havoc...
But there seems to be a real problem with the GPS ! It's super slow...
A fix takes about 30 seconds sometimes even more (in the same location, the Honor Note 10 fixes in 3/4 seconds).
And while I traval => "GPS connection lost" happens quite often and it also happens that I get "Searching for network".
Is there a "radio.img" or something like that that I may have to flash to improve things ?
Do you guys have the same when using GPS (like Waze) ?
Or is my device defective ? Should I try to reflash the global ROM for this ?
Thanks for your answers.
I use Xiaomi.EU Rom 8.11.15 (last Oreo updated), used Waze first time this morning and locked in incredibly fast.
Maybe down to the OS you are on?

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
Maybe the OS. But now I am using Havoc OS Pie and I have the same problem Super slow fix : like 30 seconds and up to 1 or 2 minutes.
Will try to reinstall original MIUI stock but I fear to get a device with ARB protection (which I would like to avoid).
Regards.

What version are you on?
If you are MIUI 10, don't go below MIUI 10.
If you are on MIUI 9, like I was out of the box, 9.6.12, you cannot go down. anything above 9.6.8 has ARB really.
I got soft locked and I had to use MiFlash to restore Global ROM.
...or you just clean up the miui from all the ARB related sh*t before flashing it...
Hi guys,
Thanks for your answers...
Definitely ROM related.
I restored stock MIUI 9.8.6.0 (last official with no ARB) and Xiaomi.eu 8/8/9 (latest non official with no ARB) and with those, I got a GPS fix within seconds...
And that quick fix is reproductible...
So : there goes RevOS, which is a pity : it was superb and with lot of added customizations abilities...
Regards.

Hi,
Thanks for the link.
But I must say that I am a little anxious about that
First : it is unclear if I have to LEAVE the listed files in the FW-update folder or if I have to take ERASE those ;
Second : is it confirmed that if I do that, I won't have ARB on my device ? Because it seems that the author is just "speculating" about this and asks for confirmation...
So if you could provide a little more details, I'd be a taker
Regards.
Those are the files you should flash. All others not listed you delete along with the lines in updater-script/flash-all.bat. Haven't tested it myself b/c I don't care about MIUI and I only flash boot, system and vendor to test my stuff I work on. But later on I will have to test it b/c I will need vendor and firmware for my next project. So although not tested these files should be ARB safe, the rest of them removed are bootloader related where ARB resides. But with anything Xiaomi I can't be 100% sure until test it personally. What I can asure you is no ARB if you flash boot, system and vendor only...

Question Xiaomi.eu for mi 11x(Aliothin)

So from miui 13 xioami.eu is not working properly with mi11x (aliothin).
As xioami.eu refuses to support mi11x though alioth and aliothin are the same device.
(They said and I am quoting here "This is intentional. The ROM didn't have proper support for aliothin to begin with (when you say "it was working fine" you don't really know what you're talking about because you didn't notice the issues). We removed the remaining aliothin junk. So yeah, it's not meant to work on aliothin.")
Anyone have any miui 13 custom rom suggestion? Not based on china base
I also ended up in a boot loop, got "nv data corrupted msg" in miui recovery. Flashed miui official V13.0.4.0.SKHINXM via usb otg and booted successfully.
What's slot A/B in TWRP?
xiaomi.eu was in slot A and miui official in slot B.
I'm not able to flash xiaomi.eu android 12, not able to install from otg. Wiped slot A but not able to copy zip to data.
Currently using android 13 official.
Yeah, miui eu doesn't support aliothin, which i find so awkward.
But i managed to flash miui eu latest, and everything works fine except for the camera. It's not usable at all. When you take a shot , the app closes and nothing is saved.
No matter what app you use for camera , it's the same thing.

The display setting will not have the 120hz option.
This happens when xiaomi.eu deliberately removes code related to aliothin. I still don't understand the reason behind it. And it's just frustrating.
And nobody should recommend xioami.eu for mi11x.
Hoping other custom MIUI in future that will support mi11x.
I own Mi 11x and I currently have Xiaomi.eu 12.5.18 stable installed. And the battery life is terrible
I was thinking of updating to miui13 hoping for better performance and I came across this thread.
What do you guys suggest?
This device is great except the proximity sensor and battery life, which is a serious turn down

Well for battery life you can root and install naptime + servicely. This helps a lot in aosp rom.
Also lower the clock speed of every cpu cluster by 100-200 (max). For this use franko kernel manager.
You can this on miui also. I never did this in miui.
Basically there are **** ton off background services and wake locks prevent your phone from sleeping and consumes more and more battery. Above mentioned apps let you choose how android behaves when screen is off also limiting unnecessary background processes.

Well most banking apps working with magisk + shamiko + safteynet fix.
Here's a tutorial. What banking apps do you use? Most upi apps will work.
Naptime works without root using some adb commands. But I don't know how usefull it will be. Because it doesn't freeze the background services when not in use.
If you don't want to root and want a good battery backup. Stock is the best option. Just use some debloating tools to uninstall unnecessary mi services.
Other wise you can try aosp + kernel. I don't if that will pass safteynet.

You have to edit the bat file through which you're flashing the rom, mi 11x code name is aliothin ,while the bat file checks if the device is alioth
So basically all you have to do is change the script lil bit
The first 10 lines, replace avery alioth to aliothin
Thats all
If still don't understand
Copy the error text and search it on google
You'll definitely find a solution

Okay
But what about
slow Processing , sometimes freezes, heating etc
Getting random freezes here and there, delayed incoming calls, randomly notifications doesn't sound and only vibrates even with sound notification enabled etc.
Tried delvik and cache cleaning but not much help.

As other people have said, xiaomi eu is not supporting aliothin anymore. Time to move on to other rom. There are many other miui based custom roms..like miui vn, miui sr, eliterom... Many of these doesn't have those issues you mentioned.

Because they are d***. They explicitly said they went on and removed the code related to Aliothin. Try MIUI SR. It's from an indian developer and all works great.
