Accessories For anyone struggling to get a good screen protector for their Poco F3 - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

I prefer tempered glass protectors. The factory fitted one is fine but had started to lift very slightly at one corner and just doesn’t quite feel as nice as glass. I think glass gives more protection too.
I luckily found a glass protector that fits well (link below). Unlike the other 4 others I tried first, it seems to have been designed and actually tested on an F3. It comes with a handy fitting frame which is crucial given the slightly inclined screen edges. It also has a nice rear camera protector made from the same glass and not film like some others. It’s not perfect because of the gutter dust trap, but the heavily rounded edges give a real quality feel. It goes well with a nillkin frosted shield case that sits just slightly higer than the glass for extra protection, see attached images.

The next 3 were terrible. All oversized with no hope of bonding at the edges. The hole for the selfie cam is also way too big. It seems others had similar issues but it's buried with X3 and M3 reviews.

This next one appeared to be made from plastic and also the wrong size. No scratch resistance and the edges felt terrible. It was blank packaging though so might have been a stock error.

I just looked and it's slim pickers.
My favorite IQ Sheild has zip for this model.
I like it because it's a wet apply one that lasts and is easy to install.

Too many no name brand, bad quality screen protectors out there.
Just order the Nillkin screen protector alongside a Nillkin case and call it a day.

You say this like it’s a given that they are good. I had one on a Redmi Note 5 a while back and it cracked if you looked at it the wrong way The only Nillkin screen protector I could find at the time had a black frame and reviews said it cut into the screen and the camera protector had no hole for the mic.
I think a lot of these protectors were designed without seeing the phone in the flesh and going on dimensions only. All the early phone reviews and info I saw said the F3 has a flat screen, but there is a slight bevel at the edge.

Can't recommend it. I received the Nillkin tempered glass about a month ago and a large chunk at the top was chipped off last week. Never dropped the phone and had a case with a cover on it from the start, while not putting it anywhere near keys or something. It's quite an expensive protector and not worth it at all if it does indeed break by just looking at it, like the poster above said.
It's a shame because I had good experiences with Nillkin about 6 years ago, but this is just embarrassing for the price and service (no reply from Nillkin of course).

I'm not saying Nillkin protectors are guaranteed to be good, in fact this is going to be my first time ordering one.
All I'm saying is, you'll probably waste a lot more time and money trying to find a good screen protector in a sea of bad to just average quality ones when you're probably better off buying a brand that has a bit more reputation.
When you go to buy a TV, why do you choose bigger brands over smaller brands?
For the very same reason, brand recognition and what the brand stands for most likely quality, features, value or all of the above.
Chances are you're not going to buy an off brand TV simply because you do not know how reliable the brand is and do to deal with the problems that might come along with it despite how much value that off brand offers.
Now comparing a big purchase like a TV to a screen protector that costs almost nothing in comparison is a bit unfair, but the point is the average consumer does not want to deal with problems after they've purchased a product and that's exactly what brand recognition is for.
It takes lots of marketing, advertising and consumer support for companies to build a trust relationship with their consumers, but after they've achieved that goal, their brand is usually associated with the reliable services and products they provide to their consumers.

I was going by my previous experience of their quality and by current reviews. Cost is almost meaningless at that price and it’s why I ordered lots of makes. I like most of their cases, but don’t rate their screen protectors. Cheap phone accessories like these are normally batches made under contract and quality varies dramatically for any brand... unless it’s from an OEM.
I hope your first one works out though

I actually tried to get one of them but they were sold out on amazon and I couldn’t find them on ebay or aliexpress. Would love feedback from somebody using one. Great reviews and the description is good “The screen protector is smaller than the device's screen due to POCO F3 5G/Redmi K40/Redmi K40 Pro curved edges design”:

The fitting video looks good too:
After trying a few now I think I might prefer the full cover with no notch or hole though.

I actually have it on my devices including the F3. been buying IBYWIND since I had a Oneplus 6T.
It's the best for it's price. the installation is quite the same as the one you posted at the OP which is quite similar too so I guess their quality is similar?. What I like about this is it has a free carbon film for the back the camera protectos looks really nice as I have the white phone.
I bought mine on Lazada and is available at Shopee too. sadly these stores ship to Specific Asian countries.
I tried searching for it at Amazon, eBay or AliExpress but to no avail.
Yeah I prefer the one with a hole on my end tho as it kinda degrades my front cam quality at times imo lol

I just ended trying all the screen protector named in this thread: no one fits my poco f3 without leaving a small border where it doesn't stick to display..

Stock one is a foil, not a glass. It have bad protection.

If you guys like the stock protector like I do then these fit well on the F3. They are made of PET like the stock protector is. I've been using them for a while.

I have a Nillkin at the moment and I find it's grand.
Does anyone know if you can get a tempered glass protection for the back of the phone?

Nillkin is always my first choice for case and screen protector since my first HTC

Nillkin protector doesn't have front camera cut out. Can anyone comment if it affects the picture/video quality of the front cam?

Camera quality feels like shet anyways ...
I'd gladly trade already shet experience for a better touch experience not having my fingers stuck on the hole... Plus it's harder to get in there and clean it , gets dirtier faster.
Overall I think no cutout might even have better real life picture quality with just how much easier it would be to get dirt out of there

Then try Gadgetshieldz screen guard which I've been using for a month and it is quite good compared to others because the Nillkin protector was not giving enough protection for my screen and I had a big crack on my display. So I changed to this gadgetshieldz which is almost scratch-resistant and gives good protection.

Best glass screen protector

What is the best/everyones favourite screen protectors? I head that the Nillkin H+ . Is this true? Thanks :good:
Not sure if there is a best, it's just tempered glass. The major differences would be minor features like thickness, cutout accuracy, and edge rounding.
I have tried many different glass screen protectors, from iVolver to Nilkin. I am back with Nilkin now cause I think it is the best. Especially Im very OCD with fingerprint smudges, and Nilkin does wonderful with the anti-oleophobic coating so, I am very satisfied.
There is no the best, just has the fit. i had just bought a cheap OPT glass screen from here, and cost 2.99, free shipping, and i use well.
I have ordered /cool mango/ tempered glass from Amazon
Pretty cheap just 299rs including delivery, lets see how it goes ..
Similar questions like these are being asked all the time.. And honestly they are all more or less the same. Regardless of what brand you buy and the source, they all claim to do the exact same thing, and after using several glass protectors for different devices, I can safely say this is true. What you'll want main is the thickness, try go get the thinnest possible ones. However do take note that quite often those glass that claim to be 0.2mm is in reality 0.26mm, with some being as thick as 0.3mm. You may not feel that much of a difference by the time you slap the glass on your screen though. So the next important thing to look out for is the quality of the oleophobic coating, which you will only find out how good it is by the time you use it.
My suggestion is just buy any low priced tempered glass off Aliexpress or something. They only cost a dollar or two and usually ship for free, so just go ahead and grab 2 or 3 pieces. If you want to play it safe you may buy different types from different sellers so you can try out different brands and see which one you prefer.
Same boat with cr0wnest.
I bought probably 3 screen protectors from different manufacturers ( and different prices) for Oneplus 1. And all of them either got broke/ chipped ( served there purpose of course, that is protect the screen of the phone).
Now, I just bought 2 pieces of cheaper screen protectors for my Oneplus Two just in case they get damaged.
I got two from Aliexpress which costed $1.28 , fits perfectly and happy so far. I don't think you should pay "genuine" glasses that much money. They are almost identical and do the same jobs.
They are not all the same. I've experienced uneven adhesive coating at the edges of the cheaper ones. It happened once on my LG G3 and now on the OPT. As far as Nilkin is concerned, they are the most consistent in product quality, which is why I used them if I can (I bought the cheaper one as a temporary measure until I could get the Nilkin shipped to me).
Oh, one more thing. I had polarisation issues with cheaper tempered glass protectors but not with Nilkin. This happened when I use the phone for navigation in the car, with polarised sunglasses.

Sorry to hear that perhaps you got unlucky. I've tried tons and tons of tempered glass for different devices and they are all almost identical in overall quality. Never had any issues with adhesive as far as I'm concerned, unless the protective film protecting the adhesive was damaged. You are far more likely to get a glass damaged during shipment rather than getting one that is of poor quality.
Casebase Premium Tempered Glass...
...is the best!
Anyway to remove the air bubble inside the glass other than taking it off....
The Toughest Tempered Screen Protector for OnePlus 2 Tested ! Casebase Review - Tortured !
Orzly is in my eyes the best one. It has rounded edges and the fit is perfect. I tried Nillkin but it cracked the first day in the thin area around the home button.
original oneplus protector is pretty good, but evolutive labs makes one thats quite strong. but quite expensive ($25)
The OnePlus Tempered glass is very bad its get scratches.
So far if you install it properly, Nillkin is the best. Mocolo/glass4m and Ultimate Shield is good too
I'm currently using the official tempered glass on my OnePlus Two (my daily driver), and a brandless third-party one for my OnePlus One and I must say that my experience with the official protector has been better.
I dropped my OPT from shoulder height and it landed facedown on a marble floor and it miraculously survived (no visible scratches). So based on my experience it's pretty durable.
I know it probably is accidental but the protector on my OnePlus One is starting to loosen up near the capacity buttons, and I have not even used it that much.
I'm not saying it's first-party > third-party because there are a lot of good third party protectors out there (e.g. Nillkin), but in my case the official one has been treating me better.

Ringke screen protectors...

Finally went live on Amazon. $6.99 for a pack of 4. These are my favorite mainstream screen protectors. My favorite isn't sold for many phones. Power support makes one helluva slippery screen protector and they are more scratch resistant than these. But they usually cost 2 for $20-25, or $15 if you get them on sale but as me times before power support isn't sold for many phones. So I get the Korean made Ringke and use rain x to add some slip to it and rain beads off faster to boot.
Does it fully cover the glass?
I don't know yet. From pictures looks like it covers more than the screen, but not all the way to the curved edges. And of course cut out for ffc and the sensors next to it. I'm buying 2 packs anyways. These are probably the best bet for now.
Please post pictures, I have gone through different screen protectors orders and so far none has worked, either leaving the protector off in the curved part or leaving a huge gap unprotected.
PS: don't buy the Fosmon
i just bought the tempered glass screen protector from ringke through amazon, the quality is really bad. The size doesn't fit at all, bubble on both sides and top. it is really bad design.

I'm pretty sure if a company comes out with a tempered glass protector that conforms to the edges we are going to have pay a premium. Probably upwards of $30 or more. I might get the Ringke glass anyways to try. Edge lift only bothers me a little bit. I would like to try dingle's brand anyways and see the quality of glass. How slippery it is and if it is real glass or that fake plastic ****. I know probably after a week or so I'd pull it off after the dust that gets under the edges drive me crazy but it's worth it to try ringke's quality on glass anyways. I know their film is pretty good.

aaa i see i see, sorry about that lol. It was been talked in the other tempered glass thread and i only saw the review there when i pressed the link, on the other hand , it is true i didn't see the date. . I doubt that anyone will get a tempered glass that covers the whole screen, that's why the one i bought only covers just a little more from the second screen, and just before it reaches the lg logo in the bottom, and on the edges it only reaches up to where the actual display ends , maybe a bit more. At least that is what i see, but i wont be able to try it U_U for now.

Tempered glass screen protector

As we all know, nowdays glass screen protector is probably best way to go.
OP will sell their official protector as they did for OP5 (already on the site). In this case you would expect top quality accesories and we all know how it went with 5.
For me it was no go with protector for ~20 euro that cuts off ~1mm on each screen side.
Here is my question, how it will go this time? how do you think? Maybe someone can provide some insight from their own sources?
As for now, from what i managed to find: it will cut less screen or even nothing (hope).
Later on, please also post your alternatives from 3rd party.
I actually think they might have an easier time with them, they can just produce a protector that covers the whole front of the phone now (No home button/FP Reader) which should reduce any stress fracture areas and make it easier to produce. Due to the change it might be some time before we see an official one.
Judging by the collection of crappy protectors produced for the OP5, hopefully the 5T won't have protectors that only adhere round the edges.
Honestly, I've been quite disappointed by the OP own's glass screen protectors.
After trying a few of the aftermarket ones (Ozry and co.), with varying mileage, I finally went nake.
Still curious to see how that's going to work on 5T.
W!
I dont need the curve screen. Give me the flat one Oneplus! Tempere glass on OP5 is a nightmare.

Same here. I still have to find a TGSP that doesn't have the rainbow effect and that covert the whole front of my OP5.
Have tried multiple ones from eBay and all of them have the stubborn rainbow in the center of the screen.
I officially hate those curved displays.
When I remember my first OPO, and than my OP2... ah, nostalgia.
I honestly love my oneplus branded tempered glass on my OP3 and OP5. The "it blocks pixels" thing is WAY overblown. Yes, you'll lose 1-2 rows of pixels, but it doesn't affect useability at all. They cover the whole screen, use adhesive on the entire protector, no halo effect, and if you use a oneplus branded case, the seam between the protector and case is so tight you can't even tell the phone is in a case.
10/10 would recommend to anyone without hesitation. I've tried a lot of the aftermarket stuff and it's all trash.
I have ordered the op5t glass however I'm sticking to the plastic protection that comes with device
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/accessories/oneplus-5t-official-tempered-glass-t3709332
Our friend here got it before me. Good to know tho, look 4:03. Mine is at home aleady, after weekend I will write mine opinion.
Anyone have experience with these people and what they offer :
https://www.moutfitters.com/
This morning, I applied my OnePlus branded tempered glass screen protector. I really like it, although there is one spot next to the volume rocker that will not stick down, causing a small halo effect in that spot. I can only see it when the screen is off, so I'm not going to worry about it. This screen protector feels very nice, especially compared to the plastic one that comes on the phone. I recommend that anyone looking for a quality screen protector, buy the one from OnePlus.
I bought the op glass screen protector and the sandstone case when I ordered the 5t. I will keep the factory applied screen protector as long as possible, but its nice to have a back-up. I do think it is cool that the supplied case acts as a guide for installing the op glass preotector.
I too bought the sandstone case/tempered glass protector combo and must say the fit and finish is superb. The screen protector went on perfect thanks to the supplied case acting as a guide and it is 100% bubble free. With the screen protector in place the sandstone case mates perfectly and you can tell they were designed to be used in conjunction with each other. The case looks good and gives the phone a nice grip but I highly doubt it offers any thing besides scratch protection. I will be switching to a more protective case as soon as a good one is available.
From my Google Pixel and Oneplus 3 experience, the official case and screen protector was the best. It's a little bit high on price but it will protect your device longer lasting and like the charm. So, this time for my upcoming OnePlus 5T, I'm going to buy 3D tempered glass screen protector.

I am in no way affiliated with this company. I was just frustrated with finding crappy screen protectors for this phone and am now just happy to find something that works. I want to share it with everyone so you can have awesome protection for your phones. I'm using it right now and it feels like the real phone screen. Can't even notice the protector is on.
Can you share pics of yours installed? It's like 28$ with shipping.. A little bit pricey
Here is the images.

Nothing much to say other than it has two bubbles on mine due to dust particles. Colour is not 100% exact like body due to them not being able to reproduce the Sony colours. Unfortunately it does cover the Sony logo. But no deal breaker for me. For a measly $28 to protect your ~$600 investment for at least 2 years, not a big ask. I'm sure you have spent a crap load of money on other stuff just for ****s and giggles.
does any of the viewable screen get cut off ?
Very slight cut off at each side. But I've only noticed when you mentioned it. It has not affected the way I use the phone. I think it looks like a fraction of a millimetre.

Less than a millimeter gap on each side. Real estate that isn't important. I purchased a Nillkin tempered glass screen protector made for the Find X2, but it diminished touch input (I had to press harder on the screen to get it to work). The OnePlus 8 is much better.
The pre-installed plastic screen protector on mine is getting a bit worse for wear. I'm not sure what route to go down with replacement (currently using a case). Tempted by some more plastic protectors - but then I'm not sure how bad this would deteriorate the actual screen 'experience', as you would imagine that a screen this good needs to be 'unhindered' by cheap protection.
Any suggestions?

Ive just bought the expensive one, cause I had Asbellt protector (similar to this one, with glue) on One Plus 7 Pro and it was ****ing amazing, loved it, so I hope this one to be the same...

Please do let me know! I'm in the UK too and have a few of the Hydro gel screen protectors here ready to replace the factory one if needed, and I've a few UV Loca Glue ones coming from Aliexpress. But it'd be good to know how the Ultimate Shield one is [emoji4]

Yes please let us know ! I was willing to buy them cause the nillkin 3d CP+ max are pure garbage ...
They fit with the official kevlar case but as said before touch input / screen's sensitivity is completly off and fingerprints scanner doesn't work with dark wallpaper :/
As a alternative to Tempered Glass, these TPU ones are outstanding, feel amazing & fit perfectly!

I already got the glue one, gonna install it tonight and will tell you how it feels in 2-3 days
Okay, my impressions after installing it. Quality related is very good, same as Asbellt I'd say, probably the best screen protector you can install on Oppo find x2 pro nowadays BUT really important to avoid the mistake I made:
- Level very well the phone before using the glue, the rear cameras will make the phone unstable in the surface and the glue will fall across the screen, use the plastic protector or something to level the phone, or with your hands or whatever but this is very important, I could have installed it a bit better than I did because of this.
- Also, this screen protector doesnt cover 100% of the screen like the Asbellt one did (at least with One Plus 7 Pro). This one covers around 85/90% ratio of the screen, I find it more than enough but still important to say because this was disappointing for me.
Anyway I'd recommend it, its not perfect, I would have liked it to cover 100% of the screen, not 90%, but im quite sure this is the best screen protector you can use on the phone, touch fidelity 100%, like if there was no protector, it will definitely protect your screen from drops, only the protector will break, I say this cause I have a lot of experience with these glue protectors, I bought the One Plus one like 3 or 4 times (2 years of drops and the screen is as the first day, like just taken out of the box) and well, to sum up, the screen protector is not perfect, I'd like Asbellt to produce one themselves but in my opinion this is the best you can buy at the moment.

Cheers for the info! [emoji4] I've got a few coming from Aliexpress which I only paid a few quid each for, I'm wondering if mine will cover the full screen or be slightly smaller like you've said the one you bought is.

I have installed the same one. I would like to add.
I also made a mistake when installing it, did not realise they give more glue than needed (Last UV one I installed had the correct amount of glue) also the top speaker is very close and on a curve so be careful as you could get glue in it.
The UV light quality is very good.
It also comes as Pack of 2 so I have another shot

Definitely not, from the package contents there's no glue meaning the protector only has adhesive applied to the edges, this ruins screen sensitivity, fingerprint sensor accuracy and makes annoying clicking sounds in the corners
