You can try this stock recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=5178
I could do the 1st update after flashing this stock recovery which was about 59 mb ,but with the 2nd update (about 160 mb) I couldn't
I tried everything back to stock and re-lock with no luck always stuck at red triangle then restart
I think it's because of the root (tampered) at Hboot.
I searched a lot but nothing can help only flashing stock ruu and there is no official one yet, so still waiting>>>
Try this and wish you luck
P.S.
You can take a stock recovery from the update ZIP itself
you will find it in the downloads folder after download and before install
copy it to your computer open it >firmware > recover.img
I also have some concerns before downloading the update...do i have to restore the stock recovery before installing the updates? by the way heres mine

Installation 3.2.0 -> 3.2.1 Failed? Need help ASAP

So I am trying to install the latest 3.2.1 Update but everytime I get installation failed? I used to have root and custom emojis on the phone but I wiped the phone with TWRP by booting it, flashed stock rom and the 3.2.0 update. I then realised I had no recovery at all so I flashed the stock recovery with adb but even tho I have stock rom with no root or anything and stock recovery I still get installation failed? Could it be that I have my bootloader unlocked but still stock everything else that makes it so its not working or what? really need help with this as I wanna be able to install with OTA.
-Marcus
Did you try "adb sideload" in stock recovery?
I had the same problem when updating 3.2.1 to 3.2.2....I was on stock no root bootloader locked too...I downloaded the ota 7 times and failed....then I downloaded 3.2.2 full rom, unlocked bootloader, flash twrp and then flashed the full romm using twrp...and it was a success....but I really don't what was causing the problem....can anyone explain why the ota update install failed?because i really wanna update the phone using ota not by flashing everytime....can anyone help?

Can't flash CB 3.5.5 after 3.2.6. TWRP

Hi all,
finally after hours of work I got my phone unlocked (drivers w10, fastboot didnt work blabla).
So now I unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp, flash superSU all according to the guide provided here.
So here's the catch:
I deleted everything, like EVERYTHING from the system without making a back-up..
I wanted to instal the CB but everytime I get Error 7.....
So I tried to instal the Oxygen 3.2.6 and that one DID work. After I installed this one, I tried to install 3.5.5 AGAIN and AGAIN error 7...
What can I do?

Much strange.
What TWRP are you running? Because there are two main variants:
1) The official one (v3.0.2.1) which is compatible with every stock OOS firmware;
2) The modded one (at least v3.0.2.19, purposed here) which is compatible with both stock and CE firmwares.
Then... what's the error message shown for OOS v3.2.6? Error 7 like happens in v3.5.5?
Tell me more about

Hi Simone, i can't remember the full Error but multiple people had this problem.
For others the problem was relative easy to solve (they had to delete 1 sentence from a format). For me it was this easy as well, only the sentence had a different name.. I figured it out and now its working fine
What I did was flash an older version of the official build like 3.2.4 and then did a firmware ota to the latest THEN sideloaded the 3.5.4. I was on stock recovery but you can always switch to twrp once up and running on 3.5.5

Try this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=21065&task=get
That's the custom recovery. Get into bootloader and type: Fastboot flash recovery (recovery name here without the parenthesis.img)

Advice Needed Please.

Hi all, I have an honor 7x (obviously) BND-L21 running EMUI 5.1 and Android Nougat. I have used a guide (which i am sure was from here) to unlock my bootloader and root the phone using twrp a while ago.
I have now noticed there is an OTA update to EMUI 8 and Android Oreo.
My questions are these...
I have downloaded the OTA update and tried to install it only to be taken every time to TWRP. After reading up on this i can see this is obvious but none the less i cant update my phone via this method.
I have copied the files downloaded from the update, (namely update_data_full_public.zip, update_full_BND-L21c_hw_eu.zip and update.zip) to my SD card.
So... 1) can i just flash the above zips using twrp and then reroot again with twrp and be on the latest firmware.
2) if not this method then do i have to remove twrp and then update to then put twrp back on again and root etc.
3) if anyone knows what i should be doing to update without bricking my phone then i apologise but i havent seen the correct thread on this. (seen many indian variants or others i'm not sure are applicable to my device)
Thanks for anything you guys can help with..
You need stock recovery for emui update. Flash stock recovery update. Then flash twrp of you need to root
download multi tool 8 for honor 7x
connect it
go to recovery section
install stock recovery
then u can install oreo update

Stock recovery

Hello! Does anyone have a stock recovery.img? I really need one for my device, i’m developing a custom rom but made a mistake when I maintananced my hard drive.
Stock Recovery Needed
Hi.. this devices seems don't get enough love from the devs. It's been almost 2 years now and still no custom rom for this device. Even stock Recovery is not present. Recently I have received an OTA update but since I'm on TWRP, the updates are not Installing, doesn't work with manual install from TWRP. I have the OTA zip saved from my device. I really hope someone who read this can share this device stock Recovery.
The only option I have as for now is try to edit the update script from inside the OTA zip and hopefully I can get it to flash without error.

Hi! Can I kindly ask you to do a Twrp backup from your device (only the essentials like system). It would really help me out. I still can't find a stock recovery, so i hope you can help.
