FRP bypass for P20 Lite C782 Single Sim (maybe for other variants?) - Huawei P20 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi this is my first "toturial" so please don't judge me to hard
Got solution (kinda) for FRP bypass of Huawei P20 lite C782 UK variant (maybe for other also ? I don't know).
As we know nowdays is not so easy to download older official rom's for Huawei phones without huawei firmware finder. I've checked every corner of internet to find lower software for my C782 variant phone without success. So what I've done to go to "Safe mode" and unlock it:
Download "Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1 ANE-L01 hw eu HLRCF Anne-L01 9.1.0.274(C782E5R1P7T8) Firmware EMUI9.1.0 05015ARN [androidhost.ru]" file and "ANE-LX1 FRP Safe Mode 9.1.0.208(C432E6R1P7T8)" this is from some YT video discription and Yes this is for ANE-L21_hw_eu - dual sim (mine is L01 but it doesn't matter), just unzip everything and take "update_sd.zip" file from C432 variant and replace in folder with C782 variant, copy all "mixed" files like normal update to SD card and force flash your phone with (vol+ vol- power), after finish update click on "Safe mode" and volla no welcome menu but phone will boot straight to old safe mode desktop where U have access to setup menu and can erase settings, clear FRP.
Sorry for my English, If someone have any questions I will try to answer.

Hi, what exactly do you mean by "FRP unlock solution"? Thanks.

That's why I asked, because FRP unlock and FRP (Google account) bypass are two different things...

bootloader unlock code different from frp unlock code.
installing other device firmware has chance to replace oeminfo.img partition. Changing this partitin often causes locked frp.
If lucky you can wipe from the erecovery that is loading. maybe even couple times. Then maybe it will boot. Other that that there has been no public mention of any fix.
do your best to fix it using hisuite or other methods if you can. if you have twrp that can help if you have stock recovery and locked frp your only hope might be hisuite and if that fails you will need a paid option like dc-phoenix or funkyhuewei. i only have experience with dc-phoenix, and it did fix my locked frp completely bricked phone, but i read that funky also works well but is nearly 3 times as expensive. (15€ vs 50€)

The displayed build number comes from the data part of the update. (Update_*hw_*.zip)
If you reflash again all three files , might be fixed

If flashing again is the answer to solve problem. Use my guide here.
You are on Oreo now so use the top portion. "Flash update"

I don't want to sound like rude or anything.
But I put it all pretty simple, I thought. Like 4 steps
Download files
Put files on SD card
Install twrp
Install file I shared
If that is over your head, maybe you should not have modify and phone.

[NO ROOT] [BOOTLOADER LOCK] How to install an update [DLOAD Method]

I'm very happy
After spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to install an original firmware using the dload method, I managed to find a guide that explains how to do it and today I will report the main steps:
First of all, we need the Service Firmware of our device. It can be found here http://androidhost.ru/search.html. From this site you have to search ane-l01 (or ane-l21 if your device is dual sim). So download the relevant firmware (p.s. I saw there aren't the latest firmwares, in my case I installed the 8.0.0.149 version, not the 8.0.0.154 ).
Then extract the "Software" folder and copy the "dload" folder (with its contents!) to the external sd card.
Finally, enter to the project menu from dialer typing *#*#2846579#*#* ==> Software Upgrade ==> SdCard Upgrade.
Wait for the installation and before configuring the device enter in Recovery Mode (from the phone off, VOLUME-UP + POWER ON) and make Wipe Cache Partition, Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Reboot System Now.
@Merlin_99, I was looking for this "dload package" for a while, thanks to share.
So, this mean that in the end the of firmware installation the bootloader will be locked.
This is good news for the guys that want lock bootloader instead of relock.

No, so far B156 is better even than B160. I got flickering in the B160, so I moved to B156, not perfect but much better.
Now I'm in B150 because is the last firmware available that I can lock (not relock) the bootloader, I'm thinking sell the phone...

Good mornin all
Thanks a lot man, I was hoping for a solution for the "lock" state for months and this is just perfect and works! I only have the Build 150 though because it's the last OTA I got on my country just like @kilroystyx so I can get that perfect "lock" state :good: .
This gets us the warranty back which is great, I was afraid of losing it due to the "relock" state, it's strange because Huawei is the only company I know that does this on warranty stuff after a lock of a bootloader...Weird...
Anyway, great job!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again,
AS

Update a locked P20 with stock roms

Hi to all,
i have a P20 branded (and with bootloader locked), with verey delayed software updates.
I would like to if i could update it using the roms downloaded through Firmware finder, and which is the procedure, since i tried to download the latest update.zip found on FF, unpacked in the dload directory of my phone, rebooted on stock recovery (vol up+vol down + power) and had a generic error.
thanks a lot for your informations.
Packing yourself a 'non-working' dload with extracted update.app from original firmware found on Firmware Finder won't work...
To force an update with a locked bootloader, you could :
-Try to update with FirmwareFinder's DNS, Hisuite 5 and an IMEI-approved OTA-MF ; You'll be updated without any userdata erased.
-Use a working dload firmware for your model and cust to update. Download said dload archive for free from http://androidhost.ru ; Your SDcard or your USB-OTG must be ExFAT formatted for dload update to work !!!
All your userdatas will be erased this way.
-Buy your bootloader's unlock code online from a third-party. Unlock your bootloader. Install a working twrp custom recovery. Use HuRUpdater with any updated firmwares for your model and cust you can find with FirmwareFinder. You'll be updated without any userdata erased.

Working dload archives should upgrade fine with your model's and cust's archives.
Working dload archives should downgrade fine with unlocked bootloader.
Only some users are reporting successfull dload downgrades WITH a locked bootloader on SHT and CMR for now. Most fails.

When you said the method that worked for your x70 doesn't work for your x80, what do you mean by doesn't work?
Did the unlock command return OKAY and then it was still locked?
Or did it fail with some error message? If so, what's the error you're getting?

The device is VoLTE capable, but the VoLTE and WiFi Calling features only appear in the Mobile Networks/SIM settings if provisioned by your carrier's SIM card. Not all carriers will provision VoLTE for Vivo phones. In the United States T-Mobile does, but not some of the other carriers. In Canada, none of the carriers will provision VoLTE for Vivo phones, so you have to force VoLTE by unlocking, rooting, and editing to make the toggles appear in settings.

At least I could unlock global X80 Pro.
You can use this Android 12 rollback ZIP to downgrade fw to "2022-04-01" patch level.
For global X80 Pro, I had to update to 13 Beta first, then reboot to recovery to install rollback zip.

Question Possible to go from 8 Pro + CN to EU version?

A bit sick of the UI but worried that since the 8 Pro + version is not available in Europe there may be issues. Is there anyone who tried this? Is it possible to install stock firmware from another region?

I know this doesn't answer the first part of your question directly but it works the other way. I have installed CN on my EU model. Interesting that there's a few extra settings in the CN such as updating the GPU directly.
I'm on the latest CN firmware V2.26 and the battery is much better but probably due to all the battery saving default settings.

Yes, you can change the payload_properties.txt in the rom of the region you want to flash. Change the text "nx729j_un" or "nx729j_**" for " NUBIA_SUBVERSION to "nx729j". Put the modified rom in the root directory and use local update. You do not have to unlock the bootloader to do this. If this does not work then you have to unlock the bootloader and flash the recovery of the rom in the region you want to change to and use sideload to flash the rom. However the second method might mess up your phone and you might not be able to boot your phone.

In the payload_properties.txt, change the text "nx729j_un" for " NUBIA_SUBVERSION to "nx729j". Put the modified rom in the root directory and use local update. You do not have to unlock the bootloader to do this. If this does not work then you have to unlock the bootloader by go to bootloader and in the command window type
fastboot flashing unlock
Follow the direction to unlock the phone
You need to extract the payload.bin from the CN rom, then use payload dumper or fastboot enhance to extract recovery.img from the payload.bin. Go to bootloader and flash the recovery of the CN rom (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)
Then reboot to recovery, choose English when you see "Wipe data" type
adb reboot sideload
Once your phone boots into sideload mode (When you see the two error line at the bottom of the screen) type
adb sideload NX729J-update.zip (this is the CN rom you want to flash)
Whether the transfer is successful or not you can wipe the data and reboot the phone. If the transfer is successful you will be in the CN rom, if not you should be back to your own Global rom. The sideload will load the new rom to the other slot so it should not change the current slot.
I'm terms of unlocking the bootloader all I have to do is go into fastboot mode (with OEM unlock, USB debugger selected on the phone of course) and type in the "fastboot flashing unlock" command and whatever next steps I'm supposed to do? Also I have not set fingerprint and or security pin on this phone yet and I've read that people are having issues with them after unlocking bootloader. Is your bootloader unlocked? If so are you having pin/fingerprint issues and if not was there anything you need to do to avoid the issue when unlocking the bootloader? TY!
