Anybody getting the Smartwatch 3?

Hey all
Sony's next generation smartwatch is a considerable step up in specs compared to its predecessor, packing a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor and a 320 x 320 LCD display, it certainly looks like a good upgrade. The rubber strap appears to have gone down rather badly, so Sony has addressed this by releasing a metal strap in addition, personally i would of preferred Sony to of made this smartwatch compatible with standard watch straps giving a much better choice. Then again we are yet to see if Sony has any other ideas, the "pop out" design could be used in other wearable applications, say on the sleeve of a jacket. Its going to be interesting to see if Sony makes full use of this design.
So who's upgrading? Or is this device drawing in new smartwatch owners?

I just pre-order it on Amazon. Do you know launch date?

Do you know something abouth the Wifi Enabled feature? It's writen on the white page of sony's sw3, but nowere else...

I actually bought a Moto360 and returned it to buy the Sony.
3 things were bothering me from the beginning:
Black bar on the bottom. In my opinion a major design flaw.
Battery life compared to other smart watches
Usage of the old chip (I should note that in the couple of days that i had it, the processor seemed fine to me; but the fact that they used a 4 year old chip on a state of the art watch pissed the **** out of me. What ever their reasoning might have been. I couldn't comprehend their choice.
I was so blinded by the looks that i ignored them until i owned it. Finally i decided not to break my principals based on looks and returned it. I was looking for a more fitness oriented smartwatch since the beginning and the sony seems like a better fit. i just don't understand why it doesn't have a heart rate monitor???
Anyways i hope the release date is correct and the device works as advertised, because i have been waiting a long time to get a watch and frankly cant wait anymore. fingers crossed.

When you pre-order SW3 from German e-shops you can see this date under price tag.

I'm hesitating, the 360 is Frickin neat but I had both Sony watches and they were both damned good. I guess I'll wait to see what owners say about the Sony SW3 before I decide.

I'd look for the "1287-4374" model

PS: There is no information if the Metal bracelet will be available any time soon (or even if it's interchangeable).

Confirmed with Sony that the SW3 does not have wifi.
It was planned but the final version loses that feature. Probably Google did not support it.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. That does look quite nice so I think I'll wait on the metal version.

According to Clove.co.uk the metal version will be available in mid november. The cheapest I've seen in preorder is Amazon.de - in order to see it you must find the standard version, click on the different offers/prices and the metal version will be an option for preorder.

Getting my S9 8th of March

I'm getting my S9 in a few days. Not sure if it's normal or not, but got confirmation that I can pick it up 8th of March.
Thought the release were 16th of March?

i'm getting mine today, so nothing special, i think the demand is very soft on this year's model

Yeh, its eerily quiet in the S9 forums too, unlike last year where every country and carrier had their own s8/s8 plus "waiting rooms" lol. The buzz is nowhere near as strong as last year. I'm getting mine on Friday hopefully. I'm in the UK and I'm looking forward to it, im a sucker for new phones ?

Mine is being shipped on 8th and should be with me on the 9th, bonus of pre-ordering is getting it a little bit early.
Ordered mine via Samsung Upgrade Program.

I'm in the US and I pre-ordered (unlocked version) from Samsung. I'm having trouble figuring out when it should ship. Anybody have a clue?

Delivery by the 14th apparently. No idea what day they will actually ship.

Update.... according to Samsung customer service, I'll have the new device in hand by March 14th. This is for a pre-ordered unlocked version (US version) directly from Samsung.

Been notified mine is arriving tomorrow ( 8th ) - Carphonewarehouse UK

I ordered mine about 5 minutes after the pre orders went live. I'm in the US, is it only in the UK they are shipping early?

Offline booking... You won't get any case for free... As it was Samsung exclusive deal only for 6 hours in "live sale"... With early delivery on 9th Sep.

i prebooked it on 11:56pm and when the payment is done it was 11:59:47 pm so i was not eligible for case and pen. so i cancelled the order

Ouch! But it's a matter of time before these offers start showing up...

on samsung shop app when i click on exchange and put my s21+ 256gb it shows deffered exchange value of 62360.
The S21+ is in pristine condition,my question is will Samsung/cashify honour this exchange value or will they throw tantrums while paying the amount later.Attaching screenshot of the same.
I went to a samsung cafe and the offered me 57,000(including 7k exchange bonus).
Anyone else has experience with samsung deffered exchange programs?

I didn't realize there are 2 options....instant and deferred! But in my experience with cashify....they always stick to their promised value as long as your assessment is true!

Looks like india is not getting the early delivery surprise that was seen in some other countries! Now I'm hoping they don't delay they're current estimates!

Samsung customer support has zero knowledge on this offer, frankly they cant even speak without shuttering, rip samsung

My phone has shipped and should arrive in a couple days! Final leg of the wait!!

Picked up my pre-booked device last night from the Samsung store. Initially booked the black, but changed to the green colour, and it looks excellent. The phone has dual SIM slots plus esim support. Waiting for my Spigen Slim Armor Pro case, it will be delivered today. The phone is stuck on the July security update, probably will take a day or two for it to get the latest update.

Awesome!!! It's an 888 chip in there I hope (and no exynos surprises)

Yes, it has the snapdragon 888 chip…none of the z series have an exynos processor.

Magic Eraser was one of the cool new tricks that came with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, but it picked up a new trick alongside the Pixel 6a in “camouflage.” Now, it’s been confirmed that Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will add the new feature in just a few days.
“Camouflage” joins Magic Eraser’s usual ability to remove photobombers or objects from an image through the Google Photos editor on Pixel 6 series phone. The feature was first announced at Google I/O 2022, and arrived mostly unceremoniously as a perk to the Pixel 6a.
We noted the feature in our review of the Pixel 6a earlier this week.
The one new feature arriving alongside the Pixel 6a, but is soon to come to the rest of the lineup, is “Camouflage” in the Google Photos app. This expansion of Magic Eraser was announced back at Google I/O with the ability to mute the colors of objects in the photo so they don’t distract from the subject. We’ve only tested this feature briefly, but it does exactly what Google claims, and with decent results.

You can see our results with Magic Eraser’s “Camouflage” below, with the feature ability to quickly pick up a distracting bright-colored cup in the background of the shot, which gets toned down to a less attention-grabbing muted orange color. We found that the feature doesn’t always work perfectly, and some shots just aren’t a great fit for the tech. But like the regular object remover, it can certainly be a handy tool to have around.
“Camouflage” is available on the Pixel 6a right out of the box, but the feature is supposed to work on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro as well. Speaking to The Verge, Google confirmed that “Camouflage” will be rolling out to both phones on July 28, the same day that Pixel 6a ships to customers.

Hi I just rooted beta 4.1 and a ticking sound is coming out of the speaker really loud, if when on silent. Is anyone else experiencing this? Sounds like it's gonna explode

Glad you solved it!

Looks like a good feature, it should be good at toning down items that dominate the image but that you don't want removing.

There's still hope - screen replacements!
Heard the Pixel 6 Pro is repairable. However, you have to enroll the fingerprint scanner which is easy with Google's tool.

True Google quoted about 240 to repair 189.99 plus vat I'm just using a HTC u11+ atm

You have two numbers in the bottom of your screenshot you might want to blur those out.
Sorry to see your pixel die, yes screen replacement is possible but to be honest, you can be refurbs for like £300 last time i checked.
probably cheaper on marketplace, so a replacement sounds sadly more economical. (as replacements also carries the risk of being done improperly/with substandard parts/ etc. etc.

Thank you IV edited the picture even though those were my dad's number they are in public domain as there his business numbers ye true Google quoted 189 then vat tax in top it's 243 close to that I wouldn't just go to after market I did check one of the partners and screen was like 249 from them ismash so it's cheaper though Google IV upgraded to the pixel 7 pro now got that coming Tuesday using a HTC u11+ for now also have a Sammy a40 from 18 and a HTC A9 to use in the meantime

if my phone dies i have a jailbroken iphone 8 with a shattered screen or a random lenovo phone without working volte so im kinda done for

Screen replacement= $30 on Google's $9 insurance program.

I have a Lumia 650, a34 or iPhone 8 if something were to happen to my 6pro. Probably look at getting another pixel from eBay if needed.
